Continuity mistake: When Eddie falls through the floorboards, you can see his arm looks perfectly fine and is unbroken in a few quick shots. After the movie cuts back to him a few moments later, suddenly his arm is badly broken. (01:20:30 - 01:23:25)
Continuity mistake: When the Stukas are shown bombing the beach, they drop a single bomb, but from beach level, you see sticks of bombs landing.
Suggested correction: The Stukas are dropping SD-2 canister bombs, a particularly nasty anti-personnel weapon. Upon release from the aircraft the bomb divided into the bomblets you see here.
First known use was bombing of England, no evidence they were used at Dunkirk. Also, the SD-2 was smaller and produced numerous small explosions. The ones we see in Dunkirk are larger and much bigger than anything the little SD-2 could ever produce - so the original criticism sticks.
Continuity mistake: When the main character goes to visit his friend that had been shot in Iraq, they're driving down a country road in a 2 door Dodge Challenger, but when inside the vehicle it's a Dodge Charger, which is a four door car.
Continuity mistake: During the "This is me" sequence, the tattooed man is wearing a red cape. During the last few seconds of the song, he loses the cape and then it reappears again. (00:59:55)
Continuity mistake: The table outside the train, where Hercule and Ms. Debenham were sitting at with the coffeepot and cups, is missing when they stand up and return to the train.
Continuity mistake: When Ana and Christian prepare for the masquerade, Ana is wearing sexy underset comprising corset, stockings and everything. After the party when they start having sex, Ana wears nothing but underpants underneath her dress.
Continuity mistake: When Mildred and her son pull up in the station wagon, there is a drink thrown at the car that hits the windshield. She gets out and confronts them, and then walks back to her car, with no evidence of anything having hit the windshield. It would be running down the glass and was a pretty thick substance. Continuity mistake: When Pierce first begins to interrogate Caliban in the safe house in Mexico, a large portion of Caliban's albino makeup is smudged below his nose, revealing the actor's natural skin in his first close-up of the scene; after switching to a close-up of Pierce, then back to Caliban, the smudge has been fixed.
Continuity mistake: When Yossi Ghinsberg falls from the plot to the river, he swims to left bank of the river (you can see the water flow from right to left). Afterwards he stayed on the same bank of the river. But later we see him to look down to the river from the right side (water flow is from left to the right). How did he get there? Continuity mistake: When Ethan knocks down the hot dog stand, the tray on it swaps from skewed to straight and back to skewed between shots.
Continuity mistake: When Tonya's husband is fixing the car, his tool box disappears when he goes to close the hood.
Continuity mistake: When Auggie and Jack are running from the bullies Jack gets closer to one of the trees between shots.
Continuity mistake: When the bald soldier gets into the cage of the apes, the amount of mud on his face changes between shots.
Continuity mistake: When Mae and Ty meet, when Ty asks what does she think of this, Ty begins removing the lid from the bottle of wine he is holding, but in the next shot, the lid has suddenly been removed from the bottle, with his hand nowhere near it. (00:21:25)
Continuity mistake: When Churchill is delivering his first speech on May 13th, Neville Chamberlain places a handkerchief on his leg to use as a signal to his fellow MPs. During the speech you can see Chamberlain sitting a few places away from Churchill but the handkerchief is missing. Then, a short while later in the same scene, the handkerchief is back with Chamberlain's hand over it.
Continuity mistake: Lucas received his mid-term grades in the mail BEFORE Mr. Butler actually entered his grade on the computer. Lucas got the mail and took his unopened grade report to his bedroom then the camera shifts to Mr. Butler contemplating what grade to fill in for Lucas. Mr. Butler made the entry (grade not shown) and closed his laptop. The camera returns to Lucas, who opens his mid-term grade report and sees the "F" from Mr. Butler. (00:51:21)
Continuity mistake: During the beginning of the family therapy session, Dr. Beckham confirms that Ellen's father is not attending and removes the empty chair from the circle, placing it by the wall. Seconds later, the chair is back (and remains for the rest of the therapy session). (00:35:05)
Continuity mistake: When Tommy and Greg get into the limo to head to the premier, there are boxes of The Room merchandise and promotional material scatted all about in the limo and filling the driver side of the back seat. But in the shots after they drive past the theater, the seat is suddenly completely empty with all those boxes disappearing. Continuity mistake: When Suge Knight pays Tupac for a song in cash. He stacked up $100,000 in two stacks of $10,000. In the next shot the bundles of $10,000 are spread out on the table, and then the bundles are stacked up again. (00:56:00)
