Revealing mistake: When Captain Needa is killed by Darth Vader because they lost track of the Millennium Falcon, in the background, two guards come to take him away. You can clearly see the dead captain get up almost by himself.

Revealing mistake: In the first scene, when Nicholson is driving to the Overlook, the shadow of a helicopter can be seen at the bottom right. This is only visible in the un-matted VHS print and fullscreen DVD.

Revealing mistake: When Carl is caddying for the priest during the bad weather, the wind is so strong that it is almost blowing them over but the trees are not moving in the background.

Visible crew/equipment: In the town in Idaho when General Zod and his crew first visit, watch when the boy's father (elevated by Zod's finger) falls to the ground. You can see the pad under the dirt when he hits it.

Visible crew/equipment: When Jake is in the bedroom with his wife (where he pours ice water on himself to calm down) you can see the top of some crew member's head in the foreground right below the camera lens.

Smokey and the Bandit II picture

Revealing mistake: When the sheriff's car is flipped upside down, the sign behind the car is upside down too, so you can tell the car isn't really upside down.

Midnight Madness picture

Continuity mistake: When at the poolside of the Bonaventure Hotel, Adam looks at one of the express elevators ascending. Then he turns and runs for the elevators, followed by the blue team. Miraculously, both elevators are now at the bottom floor.

Continuity mistake: When Loretta Lynn is at the radio station asking why the disc jockey had lied to them about playing her record, you see the picture of her that they took at home. It is a completely different pose than the one that you saw them take a couple of scenes earlier. She is looking in a different direction and she is not smiling as much as she was when they took it.

Continuity mistake: When the German NCO begins to walk up the sand dune he has a stick grenade in his right boot. Next shot half way up the dune, the grenade has changed boots.

Friday the 13th picture

Audio problem: In the beginning, Claudette and the other counsellors are all singing. When they get closer you can see that Claudette is playing the guitar, then she stops, but the guitar playing and singing still continues.

The Final Countdown picture

Character mistake: Following the barricade recovery of the Corsair, the Officer of the Deck instructs the helmsman to return to course "three five oh." No line officer would use the term "oh" in place of "zero", especially when giving course change instructions.

Deliberate mistake: At the end fight scene, when they are in the barn one of the men falls crashes through the wall when they get hit, spilling the fight to the outside. Unless the barn's walls were made of cheap plywood, the wall would not have given away so easily. Obviously done for dramatic purposes.

Continuity mistake: After the baby is born, in one scene where it is lying on the bed, it's lying on a blue-green print receiving blanket. In the next shot, the baby is wrapped in a fur or rough cloth material.

Revealing mistake: When Tony is having his first fight in the embassy, it is obvious that most of his punches do not connect at all. The people he supposedly hit still react as though being hit, and the sound effects of a fist hitting a jaw are still there, even if Tony misses by several inches.

Prom Night picture

Revealing mistake: During the scene in which Lou forces himself on Kim in the lunchroom, donning a black ski mask, Kim's brother Alex jumps up to his sister's defense. Just before Alex throws his first punch, Kim screams "Michael," referring to the actor's real name Michael Tough. Kim then correctly screams "Alex," the name of the character he was playing in the film.

The Stunt Man picture

Factual error: A film about the making of a film. A car is filmed going off a bridge, and the footage is played back repeatedly. Throughout, the car is referred to as a Duesenberg, even though, in nearly every shot, the Mercedes tri-sected circle logo is visible above the radiator.

Zombi Holocaust picture

Continuity mistake: When the lady anthropologist gets out her teacher's car - you can see in the background the traffic lights changing from green, to amber, to red. When it cuts to another view of her - the traffic lights are on green.

The Gods Must Be Crazy picture

Continuity mistake: When Kate ask if Sam Boga is scared to admit he's made a mistake, Sam Boga is carrying his rifle in his hand. When it cuts Sam Boga has his rifle shouldered.
