No, it could not because the shot was meant to be continuous. After Memphis spits out the water, we see the guy holding a half filled bottle start pouring water into Memphis' mouth. When the camera angle changes (i.e. continuous shot and not a jump cut), we still see the guy holding the bottle up to Memphis' mouth. It's at that point the bottle has changed and is now almost full.
It's even worse than that. It refills at least twice between those quick successive shots.
Continuity mistake: In the first meeting room at the Russian Embassy, the picture behind Linda and Chad changes from a blue framed portrait of what looks like Yeltsin to a portrait of Putin. (00:45:50)

Continuity mistake: When Wallace is put into his overalls he's still wearing his green pullover. A moment later he suddenly doesn't wear it anymore but a complete white shirt. He couldn't have just taken off the pullover as the shirt under it is actually fake (The collar is actually part of the pullover and the arms are just stuck on).
Continuity mistake: Two-Face and the Riddler are in Two-Face's lair; the Riddler has just said, "Then I taught my doggie a new trick; how to map the human mind." In the establishing shot, the tube is in left hand; after the cut, it's in his right hand.
Continuity mistake: When Hancock puts Mary on the hospital bed after she's been shot, the blood on her shirt changes drastically from shot to shot.
Continuity mistake: When Barris is served in the diner, french fries are scattered over his plate. When seen again, the french fries are replaced with vegetable sides.
Continuity mistake: At the end of the film, Victor tells Nick to write 'hey Annie' on plane's wing to send her a message. When Nick throws the plane and the camera shows it flying around, the words that Nick wrote are nowhere to be seen.
Continuity mistake: When Roy Scheider's partner is killed, he is run over by a car. After the car runs him over, his body rolls and you can see his arms swinging freely even though his hands were bound by the plastic ties. Later when you see his body, his hands are bound again. (01:10:30)
Visible crew/equipment: The morning after the bar shooting, when Charlie and Johnny Boy are in the apartment, we can see the outlines of the hidden mic wires at the front of both of their undershirts, as well as the bulge of the mic transmitter at the back of Johnny's waist. (00:50:35)
Visible crew/equipment: When Bumpy hires Shaft to find his daughter, Bumpy gives Shaft an envelope with money, and when Shaft stands up you can see the bulge of the hidden microphone and wire at the front of Shaft's turtleneck sweater. When Bumpy leaves the office Shaft turns around and there's a bulge at the back of his waist, which is presumably the mic transmitter. (00:26:10)
Continuity mistake: In the field chase scene, the Camaro's driver side mirror is ripped off when the Corvette rams it sideways. It remains off for several shots, then it returns by scene end and stays on through the movie's end. (01:20:10)
Continuity mistake: When the cops first pull up beside the BMW and Jack pulls a gun out to shoot the cop with the shotgun, he hits a bump and blows the cop car's tire, causing it to flip. Revealing mistake: In the barber shop scene at the end of the film, Agent Anderson terrorises Deputy Sheriff Pell (who has a full head of hair) with a razor blade. Anderson throws him across the room, but the person being thrown across the room has a mostly bald head.
Visible crew/equipment: When Max meets a man in a car who invites him to jump in, they go to the place where Natasha was killed. When the car drives in the alley and we see it from the top of the building (the camera angle), the camera filming them is visible in the reflection on the car's roof (it's mounted on a rod hanging high above the alley). Continuity mistake: In the motel chainsaw scene, before the Colombians pull out their guns, there are several food containers, a bag of cookies and a soda can lined up neatly on a table, seen in multiple shots. After the skirmish, Hector pulls the chainsaw out of its box and Tony is leaning against the table with the items now all scattered in different positions. A few minutes later, Manny shoots his way in. You can see the table in multiple shots and the items are back in their original positions.
Continuity mistake: At the airport, Sarah says "She has a camera in her purse, we have to kill her?" As soon as the camera stops panning around, Marvin is visible in the far background holding the pig teddy with the pig's legs facing the two. The shot then cuts to a close-up of Marvin. In this close-up, the pig teddy's legs are now facing the opposite direction. (00:37:00)
