Continuity mistake: When Portnow meets with Bishop at the church, in the first closeup of Bishop's crossword puzzle the word "MUD" is the second word across at the top, and at the center of the puzzle the 4-letter word "GEAR" is written in the 5-letter answer - with the fist space left empty. However, in the next closeup of the puzzle, now the word "ETA" is the second word at the top and "MUD" is the third, and the word "GEARS" has the "S" added, with the letter "G" started properly in the first space of the answer. Revealing mistake: In the opening scene, the helmet closes on the guy's head. Inside there are spikes on all sides, but when his head falls to the ground the blood only comes out the bottom. Revealing mistake: When Bruce Wayne is heading to the hearing at the courthouse, he checks his revolver to make sure it's loaded. His intent is to execute Joe Chill for killing his parents, so he would need a working gun. But when he opens the cylinder of the revolver to make sure it's loaded, you can see that all of the bullets have had the primer removed (the end of each bullet casing has a hole in it.) This is done to make each round impossible to fire, for safety on the set. (00:22:55)
Continuity mistake: When Adam Sandler reverses into the police car, he damages the Bentley he is driving at the back end. When the police chase him, the back end is not damaged at all. (00:06:35)
Deliberate mistake: In the shot where peoples' bags are being checked in the two Xray machines as President Zuwanie is arriving, you can see that both monitors are showing the exact same bag's contents. Continuity mistake: In the kitchen scene at Greg Kinnear's house when Pierce is convincing Greg to fly to Arizona with him to do a job, the clock on the wall behind them first reads 5:45 am. In the next shot, the clock reads 5:28 am.

Continuity mistake: When Alec Baldwin writes the check, the date is different when he hands it to Jim Carrey.
Continuity mistake: When Jesse brings Reggie home with him, Jesse plays his answering machine as the dog makes himself at home. After Jesse places his gun on the kitchen counter and pours himself a drink, Jessie heads over to the den to listen to Jenn's message again, and he takes a seat in the den.
