Theatre of Blood picture

Plot hole: Edward Lionheart severs the head of theater critic Horace Sprout while Sprout and his wife are asleep. (Lionheart gave them both a knockout injection). Sprout's wife (and his maid)discover the severed head in the morning, and both scream and faint. But in the next scene, critic Perry Devlin retrieves his morning newspaper and then reaches for his bottle of milk, only to find Sprout's head perched on the milk bottle. How did the head get from Sprout's house to Devlin's place?

Zombieland picture

Plot hole: With people around the world turned into zombies, there is no way to maintain power plants, thus no lights should be lit, not to mention the functionality of an amusement park.

Suggested correction: The sequel film gives this a (very flimsy) justification, saying that everything runs on power from dams. Stupid, but at least trying to explain things.

The Curse of the Jade Scorpion picture

Plot hole: At the end of the film the boss says that he and Miss Fitzgerald are going to go on holiday together to Paris (talking about the actual city, not the secret code they have invented). However, the film is set in 1940 and Paris would have been an unusual place to take a holiday at this time, considering France was in the middle of a war... Pretty dangerous for civilians even though America was still neutral at the time.

Turner & Hooch picture

Plot hole: David Sutton claims he's never read an autopsy report before yet earlier he said he moved to his new town to get away from all the murders he investigated, a job that would have required him to read autopsy reports.

Ocean's Thirteen picture

Plot hole: To rig blackjack card shuffling machines to make the dealer bust and everyone else get 20 or 21, its success would depend entirely on knowing the exact number of people at the table at that time. Perhaps the filmmaker is assuming all seats at the high-stakes blackjack tables would always be filled during a "soft" opening, but that seems extremely unlikely.

Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason picture

Plot hole: Bridget is wearing a shirt from Mrs. Darcy (the line about Mark's mother's taste in shirts, which is said while showing BOTH shirts, definitely suggests that - her idea of cuteness for a couple, I guess), which doesn't make sense because the first movie ended on New Year's Eve (we know that because Shazzer and the rest of the gang were taking Bridget to Paris that night to celebrate the New Year, but Bridget ended up with Mark - unless the movie take place a year later, which it doesn't, it takes place the next day). Consequently, there is no way Mrs. Darcy would have known about Bridget and Mark in time to get her a shirt too and offer it to her. Mark couldn't have brought it to Bridget, because she arrives alone at her mother's New Year's Day turkey curry buffet; Mark is already there, wearing the shirt his mother gave him, which suggests they split ways that morning, after their first night together.

Criminal picture

Plot hole: In the scene where Michael Shannon attempts to rob John C. Reilly and Diego Luna, he takes the briefcase, looking for the check, but it is empty. Diego Luna then reveals he has the check in his pocket. In none of the previous scenes does Diego Luna have a chance to take possession of this check. The check remains in the briefcase, and the briefcase is always in John C. Reilly's possession.

The Ladies' Man picture

Plot hole: Near the end of the movie, Lance approaches Leon saying he's waited longer for this than anyone; however, he stated earlier in the film that the first encounter between Leon and his wife was in 1990, and another member of the V.S.A. said Leon and his wife were together in the Spring of '89, meaning he would have waited longer than anyone.

1941 picture

Plot hole: When Ward's son hits the switch marked "Do Not Touch This Switch", every light in the amusement park comes on, music starts playing, and the rides all start moving. It's a funny gag, but it seems unlikely that one switch would power every single thing in the amusement park, and that everything in the park has been left on "full speed." If that's the case, when Angelo first sent the two lookouts to the top of the ferris wheel, everything else in the park should have come on then too.

Sahara picture

Plot hole: There is no way Dirk, Al, and Eva could have made it from the top of the fort to their camels, raced cross the desert and then hid themselves in the sand all before the train were to have met them. The train was barely visible when Dirk saw it through the scope which means it was much farther away to begin with.

Back to the Future Part III picture

Plot hole: Although Marty rips the fuel line, not all the fuel would have drained out of the tank. Only the fuel that was already in the fuel line would have leaked out, meaning it could simply be patched, bled and the engine would run without a problem.

Suggested correction: A cut fuel line could absolutely drain the tank. Even if not a direct route with respect to gravity, it could still create a siphon effect and drain the tank.
