Plot hole: Where do the flyers come from that are in the bags that are carried out of the vault and into the van? Danny and Linus couldn't have taken them down there and there is no room with the Chinese man. They are carried out to the van before the SWAT team appears, which means they'd have to have been in the vault to start with? In the commentary by Steven Soderbergh he acknowledges that there's no explanation. (01:35:05)
Plot hole: How could the police miss finding Cybil in the trunk of Michael Zane's car when it was in an impound lot? They would have definitely searched the car if he was found in violation of a federal offence (for carrying the weapons). Even if they didn't do a search, they would certainly have heard the sounds that Cybil would have made from being locked in the trunk.
Plot hole: When Carlos (Bill Maher) is explaining to Michael what was a valid roll he says that the redhead rubbed the dice on her chest for good luck and threw them. However she immediately threw the dice when Michael handed them to her. She only rubbed them on her chest and gave them back to Michael on a prior roll.
Plot hole: Stuart establishes that there is only one of you and that when you travel through time you can repeat things, but it will be you and not your double that does it. But, at the end, when the Duke is going up the stairs and the uncle says "Where have you been...", the Duke is wearing the same clothes as the first time. Yet we see that he goes directly from the time portal to his house in the ballroom raiment of the later scene. Where did the old clothes come from?
Plot hole: When the film opens, Jason is bound and restrained in an empty room. After killing the six security guards and appearing in the hallway, he chases after Rowan with a machete. Where'd he get this? All the guards had guns, and the rest of the room was completely barren. [Apparently, there was a cut scene (unfortunately deleted scenes weren't included on the DVD) showing Rowan with a box of Crystal Lake newspaper clippings and other Jason material/evidence, and his machete was one of the items in the box. Still a mistake due to the empty room (ropey editing), but that's the reason.] (00:06:00)
Plot hole: At the end of the film the boss says that he and Miss Fitzgerald are going to go on holiday together to Paris (talking about the actual city, not the secret code they have invented). However, the film is set in 1940 and Paris would have been an unusual place to take a holiday at this time, considering France was in the middle of a war... Pretty dangerous for civilians even though America was still neutral at the time.
Plot hole: The legend of the black knight (in this film) is that he can breathe dragon's fire. Jamal somehow rigs up his aerosol spray-can inside his helmet to shoot out the flames. However, there are three problems with this: one, how did it fit in the helmet? Two, how did he activate the spraying mechanism without his hands? And three, how did he even ignite the spray? Plot hole: How did Dolittle manage to rescue an incredibly heavy bear from drowning? He must be unbelievably strong to be able to drag a bear of that weight. (00:35:25)
Plot hole: Summer vacation couldn't be taken away just because it is winter, (or just snowy), they could just go by the date.
Plot hole: In the scene where Jason has his 5th birthday party, after the party it's night time and Bev is sitting on her front step alone when she is startled by her old friend from high school. They begin to walk and talk. She says to him at one point that she is 22. Now when Jason is born, it is stated by her dad that she is 15, so if it is Jason's 5th birthday that would make Bev 20 years old, not 22.
Plot hole: When Jimmy is in his little rocketship launching his toaster satellite into space, the morning newspaper that his dad is reading already has the photo of the rocketship on the front page as a UFO. But the military jets were the first ones to spot the rocketship, the newspaper couldn't have gotten the story and printed it out that quick.
