Plot hole: R.J. Fletcher is shown as a ruthless businessman who knows everything there is to know about Channel 62 - who owns it, how much it's worth, who is running it, the financial troubles it is having and so on and so on. He is also fully aware of the telethon and the fact that George is selling the station as a going concern for a total of $75,000.00. It is simply asking too much of audience credulity or 'suspension of belief' to think that such a hard-headed businessman would not work out that he could, using stooges, buy a controlling interest in the station for $37,501.00, saving himself a small fortune and closing the station down over the objections of his minority shareholders. Something this blatant could not possibly be a character mistake - he is already planning on buying the station for the full price (from Big Louis) so don't tell me he wouldn't just switch plans and buy it from George instead!
Continuity mistake: When Marty chases after Biff on the borrowed 'skateboard', Marty is wearing a dark grey belt and a red/blue print shirt under his red/beige jacket. However, when Marty is hanging on to the front of Biff's car as they turn a corner (and in another shot), Marty (stunt double) is wearing a light brown belt and solid tan shirt. (01:07:00)
Visible crew/equipment: When a gremlin attacks the Mum from a Christmas tree, and the tree falls on top of her, you can clearly see a member of the crew with eyeglasses, wearing a red shirt, standing behind the tree pushing it forward on top of her. (00:54:30)
Continuity mistake: When Hal's co-workers bring him a cake for his promotion, Rosemary takes a slice out for herself. They change shots a couple times, and the size of the piece missing from the cake changes several times, and the layers of the cake change as well.
Plot hole: There are six metal bars mounted around the circumference of the water wheel's axle. In the wheel's interior, when Jack frees himself he lands on his feet, begins to run and promptly hits his head on one of those mounted axle bars, then falls out. Moments later, when Jack returns and runs in the wheel, he is shorter (way more than a foot) than all six of the mounted axle bars spinning with the water wheel, which would make that previous shot impossible, however humorous it is. Continuity mistake: At the beginning of the movie, Harry's van has bucket seats, yet later on when the "gas-man" rides along, he is sitting on a bench seat in-between Harry and Lloyd. (00:38:00)
Other mistake: The envelope with the letter for Amanda is suddenly in a very good condition as it ends up in the peanut bowl... even though it has been in the trash, had chewing gum attached to it, been trodden on, had a beer barrel rolled over it, etc....
Continuity mistake: After receiving the phone call from Nancy, when Robert and Morgan are talking in the taxi, his seatbelt repeatedly changes from over to under his trench coat collar. (00:16:45)
Continuity mistake: During Marty's drive to the bogus address, when he is done speaking with Monty, just as he says, "Wolf out!" he pulls the phone wire and the earpiece actually pops out of his ear, but in all of the following shots that earpiece is still in his ear. Since the super-glued earpiece is one of the main plot points, this is bizarre to say the least. (00:44:25)
Continuity mistake: In the convenience store, Link weezes the juice and gets slurpee all over his shirt. He gets kicked out and leaves, but 2 seconds later he comes back in the door and says, "I'll be back". At that point he has nothing on his shirt at all and it's completely dry.
Character mistake: When Stuart calls home from the pay phone he's talking into the wrong end of the phone.
Factual error: In the montage sequence showing Drew Barrymore hanging out with the math club, they have a Pi poster with 3.1457869986. Only the first 3 digits are actually correct. (Pi = 3.1415926535897...) (00:25:20)
Continuity mistake: When the two female characters enter the fancy hotel room, they make a point to say they will only be there for a couple of minutes. It is daylight when they go in. The visit is cut short (the one that's supposed to be a few minutes long) because of a gun battle in which one of the women dies and the other escapes. The escaped one gets out through the roof into an evening's sky. There's still light visible, but for a visit that lasts all of 4 minutes, it's far too quick a change. (00:23:00)
Continuity mistake: During the scenes at her Mother's house, Kate's hair goes from blonde to REALLY blonde.
Continuity mistake: There is a scene where everyone is dancing. It's towards the end but not at the very end. One of the employees of the record store takes his shirt off. Then the camera cuts back and you see the entire group of people dancing. If you look at him he has his shirt back on. Then a couple of shots later he has it back off again.
Continuity mistake: During the first scene set in a prison cell, as Martin Luxford (played by Hugo Speer) is about to be released, there is a glitter ball made from an orange covered in tin foil. It is rotating first one way and then the other, as it has been spun by hand. As the film action cuts between the two characters, the ball mysteriously changes direction without having slowed down and at one point appears stopped, having previously been rotating rather fast.
Revealing mistake: When Marin and Jack Nicholson first enter her mother's house, Marin is wearing white pants, and it is noticeable that she has a thong on. When she gets into bed with Jack, she is in full underwear.
Revealing mistake: When Han shoots at Bruce Willis and the others with the Gatling gun, we see cartridges on the ground. You can tell that they are all blanks. The tip is jagged and has been closed - live ammo just has an open hole where the bullet was.
Continuity mistake: At the Gator Motel, after Cledus and Bandit get part of the money, when Bandit starts crying about Frog and blows his nose into the money, there is a side shot showing a wad of bills in Bandit's shirt pocket before he actually puts the bills into his pocket in a following shot. Plot hole: When Andy turns into a werewolf, he kills both Amy and Detective Benbou. Later in the morgue, Amy tells him because of this that she is forced to become his "rotting sidekick." If this is completely true, then Detective Benbou should also be following Andy around but he isn't seen after Andy manages to escape from the morgue.
Suggested correction: Maybe the bench-seat folds down; out of the way somehow?

There's no evidence of this, especially since we see the floor where the bottles are. And it doesn't explain where the bucket seats went.
