Best comedy movie mistakes of 2016
Plot hole: Prior to the final show, when the horsemen are performing separately at different locations in London. [Scene X] Jack is busy with his card swap trick. While others are doing their tricks too, [Scene Y] McKinney is believed to be tricked once again by his face sharing brother at another location... Dylan gets a call and then he calls everyone to wrap up and meet somewhere. [Scene Z] Jack also wraps up and leaves the place... OK. Later after the expose in final show McKinney tells the story about how Jack successfully hypnotized his brother [in the Scene Y]. How could Jack be at two different locations at the same time? He was performing somewhere else when he did hypnotism at another location and then wraps up his trick back where he started.
Continuity mistake: When Carol, the MLI employee, is first seen carrying the white bucket in the corridor and also when Carol thinks she located Hank, the bucket has absolutely no writing on it where the handle's attached on both sides, but when Dory looks down at the bucket suddenly "Destiny" is written on it.

Continuity mistake: When April changes into a school girl's outfit to distract Dr. Stockman's assistant, she grabs a miniskirt and ties it around the skirt that she's already wearing. But we never see her take this particular skirt off. It just magically disappears. She is also wearing pantyhose which suddenly changes to over the knee stockings.
Plot hole: There's no way that Eddie and Nana left the flooded theater without getting a single drop of water on them. The water flooded up to the ceiling and there's no other way to exit besides the front doors, and Moon's secret exit, which also floods. They do not leave through either way.
Continuity mistake: While travelling with the novelties salesman, a passing car's occupants yell about the bag of groceries on top of the car. As the camera faces the salesman's car, he puts up the window advertising the fake bag gag. As the camera faces out towards the passing car, the window goes up again. Later, a truck passes by, and the salesman does the same thing, but the message is now in Spanish, without the man stopping to change it. A moment later, the window advertisement (seen from inside) appears to be in English during the same scene.

New this week Continuity mistake: The location of the FireBrand tower keeps changing throughout the film. 1:30 - the tower is in Lower Manhattan, south of the World Trade Center 2:55 - As Kevin Spacey lands, the tower has moved closer to the World Trade Center (side note - the shot immediately before this showed him falling towards midtown Manhattan, not the tower) 3:45 - the tower has moved further north towards midtown 4:50 - the tower appears to have moved back to the position it was in at 1:30. 5:25 - the tower has moved back to it's position at 3:45. 53:25 - We are given a view of the tower from their Central Park penthouse, and it has apparently moved much closer to Central Park (right next to One57 on the other side of Manhattan island) 56:45 - the tower has moved back down to its position at 3:45 and 5:25. 1:17:38 - I'm not entirely sure about this one, but you can briefly make out the two pools of the World Trade Center memorial, which would put the tower at its location at 2:55. 1:18:00 - the tower has moved to the exact location of One World Trade Center (therefore making that building disappear). 1:18:05 - the tower has moved back to its position at 2:55 (now One World Trade is visible).
Continuity mistake: When Jane has just found out she had been accepted into the school soccer team it's clear that on the soccer list it shows Jane is 9 years old, but when her moms speaks to her a minute later when Jane starts to worry about getting into college, Amy states that Jane is 12 years old.
Factual error: The main character is being wooed by Lockheed - an aircraft company, whose representative then gives him gifts for his kids - one of which is a desk model of an aircraft, however it is of an aircraft produced by one of Lockheed's competitors - Grumman, which would be akin to a GM rep giving a toy Ford Mustang as a gift. Both companies continue to remain competitors as Lockheed-Martin and Northrop-Grumman since the government vetoed a proposed merger back in 1998, and at no time have the two companies collaborated on a major project.
Plot hole: When Norm is stuck under the satellite tower after disposing of the condos, he has flashbacks to numerous moments earlier on in the movie. One of the flashbacks is of Socrates saluting Norm, but the moment where Socrates salutes Norm did not occur until he was on the cargo ship being shipped off to New York and was something that he did not see Socrates do; there would be no way for Norm to have this flashback.
Factual error: When Kim Baker arrives in Afghanistan, most of the Marines are seen wearing Desert marpat (Marine Pattern), when in reality, that camouflage was not widely adopted until 2004 to 2005. In 2003, it was in the testing phases, Three Color Desert or DCU (sometimes called "Coffee-stained") would've been the primary camouflage pattern for both Marines and Army soldiers.
