The Lost Boys (1987)

Corrected entry: In preparation for the attack, Sam is seen crushing a huge sack of garlic, one bulb at a time. But when he contributes to the garlic-holy water bathtub, most of the garlic is still in bulb form, and the crushed garlic is never seen or mentioned anywhere else. (01:15:40)

Phoenix

Correction: They mixed the crushed garlic with holy water to make their "hand grenades", and other small weapons. The reason it is not crushed in the bathtub is that it would take two days to crush all of the bulbs.

Corrected entry: Isn't it strange that Doc didn't destroy all his stuff in the blacksmith's workshop before going back to the future? Clara goes back to the workshop and finds the model of the railroad and the Delorean, clearly labeled "time machine."

Correction: It's a small wooden model of a strange horseless wagon that says it has "magical" properties. Who would believe it was anything but a toy, or some crazy old man's imagination running wild?

Men in Black (1997)

Corrected entry: When "Edgar" walks into the morgue, he's carrying a shotgun. He sets it down by the side of the window. Later, J walks in and starts ringing the bell. You can clearly see there is no shotgun there. Also, when he has the revolver to the lady's head, he doesn't have the gun. So where did the shotgun go?

Correction: In between the scene of Edgar walking into the morgue and J arriving, Edgar does other things, like "taking care of" the clerk at the morgue, meeting and threatening the doctor, etc. Even if we don't see him putting the shotgun someplace else, he had plenty of time and opportunity to do it.

Corrected entry: After Zeus and McClane escape the boat, Zeus asks Lambert to give McClane a quarter to go call his wife. However in the very last scene of the movie Zeus hands McClane a quarter to go call his wife. How on earth did he get that quarter? He obviously didn't have one the first time so why does he suddenly have a quarter now? Not like it would have mattered anyway, considering you don't need any money to make a collect call.

Correction: The last scene takes place several hours after the boat blows up. Plenty of time to make change, or for that matter, find a quarter. It just would not be very interesting to slow the action down to watch Zeus buy a pack of chewing gum.

Meet the Parents (2000)

Corrected entry: Greg is calling for Jinx in the car, and there is no reason for him to do it because even if the cat could hear him over the sound of the car, the windows are rolled up.

Correction: He is not really calling for Jinx, but is merely making the noises as a sort of mantra to make Jinx appear at the right moment. Many people do this, even when looking for inanimate objects.

Meet the Parents (2000)

Corrected entry: When Greg is leaving to go to the airport, he's wearing what appear to be the same clothes he was wearing when he and Pam first arrived in New York. When he's waiting to board the plane at the airport, his shirt has changed.

Correction: He has gotten his suitcase back at this point, and has had plenty of opportunity to change at the airport. There is even a shot of him stuffing his clothes back into the bag while he is waiting (and you never see him take them out, this happens off camera).

Romeo + Juliet (1996)

Corrected entry: After Romeo kills Tybalt, the priest hides him and the nurse visits him in hiding with a message and a ring from Juliet. This is no more than a few hours after the killing, and the ring is inscribed with "I love thee" on the inside. When would she have had time to get that done? Especially when she's not allowed to leave the house except to go to church?

Correction: Juliet is rich, and as such she can always pay someone to do a quick engraving. And she has plenty of servants to send with a ring to be engraved. Since everyone assumed she was going to marry Paris, they would have believed the ring was for him.

Van Helsing (2004)

Corrected entry: After Dracula kills Dr. Frankenstein, you can see the blood (Computer generated) on his face "retract" up into his mouth, before he wipes at it with his hand. Mismatched computer effect.

Correction: No, Dracula is a vampire. Obviously, he has the power to "absorb" blood into his body without having to use the undignified approach of licking himself.

Corrected entry: In the Extended Edition Eowyn is asleep on a couch in the throne room of Meduseld after the Rohan victory celebration. But she lives in Edoras; why isn't she in her own bedroom? In the film she has to be in a public place, because otherwise Aragorn couldn't talk to her about her dream in the middle of the night. But would king Theoden really leave his eligible young niece asleep alone in the throne room, when there are lots of drunken guests around after the party? You'd expect at least a guard or chaperon with her.

Correction: This has to go in the "character decision" category. Eowyn chooses to sleep in the Hall of Meduseld, and even though her reason for this is not shown, she is free to do so. One possible explanation can be that she had her nightmare in her room, and wanted to get out in the bigger, loftier Hall to get some air, or because she felt safer there. And as Eowyn demonstrates, she is fully capable of taking care of herself.

The Village (2004)

Corrected entry: The main premise is (MAJOR SPOILER) **that the Elders founded the village, and propagate the ruse of the creatures in the woods to keep the other villagers from venturing into the outside world. However, there are many non-elders in the village who are old enough to have lived in the outside world long before the village was founded (circa 70's, based on the Counseling Center photo). These people would remember the world before the village, so the ruse would not work on them. Even if we are to accept that only the half dozen-or-so Elders remember the outside world, they could not have possibly procreated the entire village, which seemingly has a population of over a hundred people.

Correction: Of course there are several others in the village who know of the outside world. The stories of the horrors in the woods are not made for them, but to keep the _children_ from roaming about, and even to stop natural youthful exploration. The villagers wanted a perfect, peaceful society, so they all played along with the stories, but their descendants needed to be free of outside impulses to preserve their innocence, else they would risk that greed, hatred and violence destroyed the community (as it has ours).

Secret Window (2004)

Corrected entry: The first time we see the screwdriver (buried in Tom's head) it is buried up to the hilt, but the second time we see it (when Amy looks at it on the counter top) the 'red stuff', actually blood, is only halfway up the metal part.

Correction: Mort has more than one screwdriver. The one Amy sees inside the house is the one he used on the dog earlier on.

The Incredibles (2004)

Corrected entry: When Mrs. Incredible and the kids are shot down, they are shown in the water and her hair is a mess. But soon after they arrive on shore, her hair is as perfect as it was before being shot down.

Correction: Elastigirl can stretch and form her body as she wishes, in the blink of an eye. It is not unlikely that this applies to her hair as well.

Corrected entry: In the scene where 'Q' leads Bond from the laboratory into the room containing the identograph, there are several Q-branch staff visible in the background. A moment later, however, when a secretary enters with tea, all the staff have gone home and the lights have been extinguished.

Correction: That's because some time passes between the two takes. Note how much further the work on the iconograph has come.

Corrected entry: It's doubtful that the car Danilov rolls in the beginning is equiped with seat belts, but somehow he emerges from the wreck with nothing but a few scratches and a broken lens in his glasses, which haven't even fallen off.

Krista

Correction: We never see the inside of the car, so we have no way of knowing what steps he took to protect himself, or whether he had seat belts or not. As for the glasses, some time passes before he crawls out. He could easily have lost them, then recovered them and climbed out.

Twotall

Corrected entry: In the map sequence showing Germany's takeover of European countries, Norway is not invaded. Norway and Denmark were invaded the 9th of April 1940...

Correction: It does not show the German advancement in true historical order, but more like a red shadow that expands across Europe in a steady pace. And just as the camera starts zooming in on Stalingrad, you can see a small sliver of red starting to spread on the south-eastern coast of Norway.

Corrected entry: When we first see Shadowfax, the wild horse that only Gandalf can ride, without a saddle or bridle, he has a breast collar mark. (00:57:45)

Correction: Shadowfax was not a wild horse originally. He was the King's horse, born and bred in the King's stable and only the King of Rohan was allowed to ride him. After Gandalf took him away, Shadowfax became wild, and would not let anyone else near him, until Gandalf reappeared.

The Incredibles (2004)

Corrected entry: Violet's hair part changes from one side to the other throughout the film.

Correction: Violet uses her hair to hide her face, because she is shy. If she decides to change it during the movie, it is no mistake. She also has plenty of opportunities to do so. In the end, she has even got over her shyness and wears her hair back.

Hannibal (2001)

Corrected entry: In the scene just after Starling's visit with Barney, she is listening to a tape of a late night conversation between Barney and Dr. Lecter (where the good doc was comparing Starling's behaviour to that of a Roller Pigeon). This tape shouldn't even exist given that Dr. Chilton was supposedly only taping Lecter's conversations with Starling. Even the empty tape case is labelled "Lecter and Starling", yet only Lecter and Barney are on the tape.

Correction: They key word here is "supposedly". The good doctor Chilton was taping other conversations Hannibal had, and lied about it afterwards. The reason being that Lecter was his most famous inmate, and any new information from him would be worth gold. And then, in a feeble attempt to cover up, he labelled the tape as a legit recording.

Sleepy Hollow (1999)

Correction: It was OFFICIALLY invented in 1825. Apparently Ichabod's mother invented it, but they never patented it or showed it around much, so it did not become known to the public.

Corrected entry: Except Red getting a little grey by the end of the movie, none of the other characters, be it a prisoner or a guard, shows any signs of aging over a time span of 19 years.

NancyFelix

Correction: Both the Wardens and Andy's hair are getting greyer (Very clear in case of warden Norton). Andy also starts wearing reading glasses. Also, Frank Darabont makes it clear in the directors commentary that he never wanted to have Morgan or Tim in heavy make-up to age them because he said it looked too much like... well, heavy make-up. He wanted the changes to be subtle.
