When Max comes over for dinner, and the boys are testing him to see if he's a vampire, Sam spills water on him. When Max goes to leave, he has a large wet spot on his jacket. Then suddenly in the very next shot, his jacket is completely dry. [I re-watched this footage on DVD. It almost appears that his jacket IS dry, however - -it was only lighting issues that caused this. As the scene progressed between the liquid spill and Max kissing Mom goodbye, you can still see the water spots on his jacket. At times they appear to change in size/location. But they are still there.]

Comments made in brackets are corrections from other visitors. As such, any aggressive/abusive corrections (and I get quite a few) written as if they're comments I've made myself will be ignored. To submit your own corrections for mistakes, just click the edit icon under an entry, then choose "correct entry". Some entries have "duplicated entry" after them - these are entries which were already listed on the main page, but were submitted again. I occasionally leave these online for a while, just in case they were moved in error, so don't worry about pointing them out to me.

In the scene where Michael wakes up in bed after falling from the rail bridge, watch Sam's leg movements and listen to the way he says 'Mike' as he enters the room. The slow-motion effect has been left on for a fraction too long, and it looks a little odd. [1) A split second odd movement by a character is not a mistake, unless they completely change positions on-screen. 2) You can't just "leave on" the slow-motion effect during filming like you would a DVD player, it's done during the final editing of the film. As such, you wouldn't have the slo-mo from a previous scene "still left on" for the next scene.]
In the scene right after Michael kills David, he pulls Star to him and says, "Don't let them see me like this." If you look at his lips, he does not say that line. [Yes, Michael does say the line. I could see very clearly, even in the dim lighting that his lips are moving as he hides behind Star. The camera focus was intended mostly on Star's panicked expression, and not Michaels' mouth.]
During the grand finale when the vampires are in Sam's house, he shoots Dwayne with a bow and arrow and Dwayne falls to the floor pretending to be dead. His left arm is down his side. The shot changes to Sam who is looking at him and then returns to Dwayne whose left arm is now up next to his head so that he can push himself off the floor. [Just like you said, he is "pretending" to be dead, hence is alive and able to move. In fact, that is part of his plan to jump up and attack Sam when he comes closer. The shot cuts away long enough for him to have moved his arm.]
In preparation for the attack, Sam is seen crushing a huge sack of garlic, one bulb at a time. But when he contributes to the garlic-holy water bathtub, most of the garlic is still in bulb form, and the crushed garlic is never seen or mentioned anywhere else. [They mixed the crushed garlic with holy water to make their "hand grenades", and other small weapons. The reason it is not crushed in the bathtub is that it would take two days to crush all of the bulbs.]
As Sam dunks himself under the water in his bubble bath we see that the tub is full past the rim with bubbles. Seconds later, when he pops up from under the water after hearing the dog jump on Michael, there are no bubbles in the water at all. [There are bubbles in the tub when Sam resurfaces, they are at the ends of the tub; they aren't seen unless you view the movie in Widescreen format. ]
When Sam is in the cave while the Frog brothers kill the first vampire, they are sprayed with his blood. However, when he visits his mom at her work, he is totally clean. [If you notice, his sweater is stained. The vampire blood has dried and left big stains all over his sweater. He's far from clean.]
When Sam is singing in the bath, and he flips the comb and drops it into the water, you can hear him "woo woo"-ing, but his lips don't match his singing. [There is no audio problem. There are two voices singing in the scene. Sam is singing along with a tape and stops singing as the comb falls into the tub, while the tape keeps playing. Again, you can see the tape player only in the Widescreen format.]
Near the end of the movie when Michael kills David you see that David has some facial hair and when Max takes a look at David he is clean shaven. [I think it's symbolic. Since David is a vampire and is not innocent in any way, he would have stubble to emphasise this, to give him a "bad" personality. Whenever he is killed, he reverts back to being innocent again and therefore, the stubble is gone.]
In the beginning Lucy (Sam and Michael's mum) is talking grandpa about why she never divorced the boy's father. Then later on she tells Sam the reason she divorced their father was because he never believed in the closet monster. Are they divorced or not? [The mom doesn't say she didn't divorce the boys' father, she says that a big legal battle wasn't going to help.]
