Corrected entry: When going to the Norwegian camp, MacReady finds several cans marked "kerosin", and thus can easily deduce that they contained kerosene. However, there is no such word in Norwegian. The cans would have been marked with the proper Norwegian word "parafin".
Correction: "Kerosin" is the German word for Kerosine. There's no reason to think all of the camps only used supplies from their own country of origin.

Corrected entry: Kira has Oishi, his worst enemy, trapped in a dungeon under heavy guard for an entire year, but suddenly decides to release him and send him off without even keeping a watch on him. And conveniently, this all happens just in time for Oishi to stage his revenge and prevent Kira's marriage to Mika.
Correction: He told his soldiers to break his hope. And He told him "you'll be released when I'll be married to the girl". But then, he has other plans than let Kira take his village. That's why he kept him alive. Just to let him watch this and be desperate.

Correction: You don't see the bleached girl's legs. Her face and shoulders are all that is visible.

Criminal Minds (2005)
Corrected entry: Previous episodes of the series have established that the series takes place in present day, well into the 2000's. The models of cell phones and cars used, references to the 9/11 attacks, etc. In this episode, both Jacob and Sarah Jean are shown to be executed in the electric chair. The problem is; Florida has not used the electric chair for executions since July 8, 1999. Ever since, the state has used lethal injection for capital punishment.
Correction: Lethal injection is the primary method of execution in Florida, but inmates on Death Row do still have the option of choosing electrocution. In real life, none have since 1999, but it is still a legal and possible method in the state of Florida. No mistake here.

Corrected entry: When Norm is pulled out through the loading door, he is first pulled all the way out. (He sits up, bangs his head, falls straight back down and is pulled another meter or so.) In the next shot, which shows him from above, his entire upper body is still inside the door, before he is pulled through again. (00:26:45)
Correction: Having just watched this scene, in actuality, he is pulled almost all the way out of the door, but catches it with his hands, "above his head," and pulls his head back inside. His upper body isn't pulled back inside until the shop clerk helps pull him back a bit.

The 13th Warrior (1999)
Corrected entry: The Vikings are supposed to all speak the same language (which is one of the reasons Ahmed manages to learn it). They even refer to it when asking Ahmed "How did you learn our language?". The only problem is, they are NOT speaking the same language. The messenger boy and the old crone both speak modern-day Norwegian, the other 12 warriors speak a mixture of Danish, Swedish and made-up words that don't make sense. Buliwyf himself sounds strained and unnatural, as if he has learned his lines phonetically.
Correction: The movie takes place in Medieval times, and pretty much all languages have changed over time. A mixture of Norwegian, Danish and Swedish would be typical for the time, as even English of the period used words from different languages, and is pretty much a completely different language compared to modern English.
That is simply not true. In medieval times the language of the Norsemen was not a mixture of present-day Scandinavian languages, but their common ancestor - Old Norse. As Latin is a common ancestor of Italian, Spanish, Romanian etc. so is Old Norse common ancestor of Swedish, Danish etc. So using Norwegian language in the movie is like making a movie about Ancient Roman Civil War and letting Caesar, Brutus and Marcus Antonius speak a mixture of Portuguese and Romanian.

Corrected entry: A little detail to notice: The swastika on the back of Seth's jacket at the party is facing the wrong way. From 1920, Nazis have always used a right-facing swastika as their official symbol, but the one on Seth's jacket is left-facing. Most likely a character mistake by Seth (who is not pictured as very bright), but worth noticing. (00:57:05)
Correction: (In skinhead culture the left facing swastika actually represents an individual that leads not follows.).

Corrected entry: In the first segment of the book, it is stated that Ralph White died in February of 1963, and that seven months later, Carrie was born. Later in the book Carrie's mother thinks back to the time she had first seen Carrie use her telekinesis in her crib, and that she had wanted to kill Carrie, but Ralph had stopped her.
Correction: Mrs White is clearly mad - she could have been hallucinating and imagined her husband present or simply the thought of him stopped her.

Corrected entry: Dre's white uniform never picks up any stains during the tournament. Sweat is rolling down his forehead, but there are no sweat stains on his jacket. He also keeps rolling and twisting on the mat, but again, no stains ever appear on his jacket.

Corrected entry: Fred White, the town marshal, is portrayed as an old man with white beard. In reality, he was only 31 years old when Curly Bill shot him.
Correction: As noted in several other corrections here, the facts are adjusted in several areas to accommodate the filmmakers' artistic license. In the commentary, we learn that they chose to have an aged Marshall White to accentuate the cowardice of the young Sheriff Behan, who forces White to confront the opium-crazed Curly Bill which leads to his death.

Corrected entry: During the end credits, we are shown the Earps and Holliday walking down the streets of Tombstone. They are all wearing coats in the long shot, but in the first close-up of Virgil his coat is missing. You can see the tip of his shoulder and he is wearing just a white shirt and a vest.
Correction: It's sunlight, not a white shirt. The shadow from his hat only goes so wide. You're seeing the sunlight.

Jabberwocky (1977)
Corrected entry: The swords used by the knights are referred to as "broadswords" by characters in the movie. This term, however, was not used in the Middle Ages, a knight's weapon was simply referred to as an "arming sword". To use "broadsword" for a knight's sword is a 19th century invention, to distinguish them from smaller weapons.
Correction: They wouldn't have used 'arming sword' - they would have used words you or I would not have been able to understand. They use modern English so audiences can understand the film, and that is not an error. See similar corrections for Braveheart and Troy.

Corrected entry: When Wez and his gang drive Max's Interceptor off the road, they still have the two hostages tied to their truck's front. After the Interceptor blows up, when Wez climbs into the truck and leaves, there is suddenly only one hostage tied to the truck. (01:08:20)
Correction: The farside hostage is still there, but is slumped and leaning forward so that he is blocked from view by the other hostage. We can see a gap of sky between the one hostage and the upright that holds the other hostage. But as the truck drives off to the left, the second hostage comes into view. He's not missing, just difficult to see until the last moment.

Corrected entry: The whole reason Catherine enters Carl's mind is to learn the location of his latest victim. They still have not learned this when Catherine takes him into her head, but she goes ahead and kills him almost immediately without even asking him about this crucial information.
Correction: Vince Vaughn's character knows where the girl is, that's why he got them out of the killer's mind. He saw the symbols on the tank and knew where the girl was. Jennifer Lopez's character went back in to try to save the child.

Corrected entry: The state of Illinois does not use the electric chair for executions. Since capital punishment was reinstated in 1976, all executions have been done by lethal injection.
Correction: If the show was trying to be completely accurate, then he wouldn't be put to death at all, because former Governor George Ryan issued a stay of execution that has not been rescinded. Seeing as the execution is the major story line, they didn't change it.

Corrected entry: The towel Flanders wraps around Apu's head changes shape between when it is first applied, and when the customs agent sees Apu. First it is an almost perfectly round shape with no loose ends, then it becomes a more flat shape with a loose end hanging over Apu's shoulder. When Apu is seen inside the police van, the towel is once again in the original shape.
Correction: Since it's a towel, and not an actual turban, it's not a surprise it loses shape and comes apart. And there is time before Apu is thrown into the police van for him, or one of the others, to have rewound it.

Family Guy (1999)
Corrected entry: Lois refers to Gene Simmons by the name Chaim Witz, and they both say they knew each other and had sex together before Gene became famous. But the name "Chaim Witz" was the name Gene used in Israel as a child. According to his autobiography, when he came to New York as an eight-year-old, his name was changed to Gene Klein, and he never used the name "Chaim" in the US. Lois could not have known him when he went by the name Chaim Witz, and could certainly not have had sex with him at the time.
Correction: He couldn't have told her his birth name? Perhaps she preferred it to Gene Klein, or was showing off her detailed knowledge of Simmons early life.
