Labyrinth (1986)

Corrected entry: In the scene where Sarah confronts the guards to the two doors, the one guard who presents the rules either has to always tell the truth (for the rules to be true) or both of the guards are liars (which negates the rules entirely), in that case Sarah never really stood a chance even with her logical solution.

Correction: This is not a mistake, but a good observation nonetheless. It proves that the guard she is talking to is the one who always tells the truth, and so she COULD have solved the puzzle a lot easier. Unfortunately, she does not catch this, and has to try the old-fashioned way.

Corrected entry: In the end when Bond and Goodnight are sailing away, Nick Nak starts throwing wine bottles at them. Only problem is that the when the bottles smash, there is no wine that spills out. Who would store empty wine bottles in a wine rack? (01:56:00)

Correction: Still, it is a character decision, and not necessarily a mistake. People throughout history have used staffage like this to decorate empty shelves. Charles Dickens, for one, had several fake books in his library that were nothing but covers without content.

Twotall

A hitman that makes $1m a hit would not use empty bottles.

Corrected entry: When Jules, Marty's son, comes out of the train at the end, look at his expression. He looks like he is about to burst out laughing.

Correction: First of all, he's Doc's son, not Marty's. And second, there is no reason why the kid should not be laughing. Maybe he is excited about travelling through time, maybe he finds the 1980's surroundings funny, or maybe his brother had just told him a joke. There are a thousand possible explanations to this.

Lost (2004)

Correction: This only goes to show that either a) one of the bullets missed him, and he was found with five slugs in him, or b) that Ana's mother misremembered, which is a character mistake.

Twotall

I don't know about you, but as a parent if my kid was killed I'd remember details. Something like that is distressing. And it's mentioned a few times he is shot 6 times.

The Phantom (1996)

Corrected entry: At the beginning where Billy Zane rescues the little boy from the truck across the rope bridge. We see the pair fall from the truck and grab onto a piece of rope - as this happens you can see that Billy Zane's stuntman's phantom hood has come off and his hair is flowing freely.

Correction: In what way is this a mistake? The Phantom has hair under his hood, and even he is subject to physics, such as his hood being pushed back by a strong wind.

Blade: Trinity (2004)

Corrected entry: According to vampire legend, vampires do not have reflections. Yet just before the scene where Drake goes into the vampire shop, he looks in the window and we see his reflection.

Correction: First of all, movies do not need to follow every aspect of the legends they are based on. They are free to incorporate all or parts of the legends as the film-makers decide suits them best. And the vampires in the "Blade"-saga do have reflections normally. Second, even if the "normal" vampires in "Blade" did NOT have reflections, Drake (Dracula) is extremely different from them. For instance, he can change his shape and walk in sunlight without burning. Who's to say he would have any other vampire weaknesses?

Panic Room (2002)

Corrected entry: When Jodie Foster sets the propane alight, she tells her daughter to get under the fireproof blanket, and then gets under one herself. However, she only covers the lower half of her body, so if the propane had set fire to the rest of the room hiding under the blankets would have been pretty pointless.

Correction: That's a character mistake - she was not completely safe from an eventual explosion, but did not have many other options. As it was, she lucked out that the propane did not set fire to the entire room.

Enter the Dragon (1973)

Corrected entry: The blonde lady that Roper is fond of shows up dead at the end of the film but the film doesn't give any indication of how she died. I can't for a second think that any of the men would have hit her let alone beat her to death! That just doesn't make any sense at all.

Correction: A movie does not have to explain every single detail or every motivation of the characters. Suffice to say that Han decided to have her killed, and it was done.

The Stolen Eagle - S1-E1

Corrected entry: Pullo falls asleep while he's on guard. Soldiers who fell asleep on their guard were sentenced to death. Yet Vorenus, who is a very by-the-books man, only gets annoyed. A centurion would have executed the soldier in question.

Correction: That's a character choice, and not necessarily a plot hole. In this case, Vorenus would have no opportunity to have placed Pullo under arrest or have him tried before returning to camp, and much can have happened to make him overlook this fault in the meantime. They have won a battle together (against overwhelming odds), they have accomplished their "impossible" mission, and return as heroes with Caesar's newly-rescued grand-nephew.

Correction: So what? That's not exactly trivia-worthy.

Corrected entry: At the end of the film, when they are floating on the coffin in the flooded valley, there is a current moving from the right to the left. While other objects float away in the current, they stay dead still, obviously they are tied down. (01:39:45)

Correction: No, as noted in a previous correction the characters are swimming against the current, simply by moving their legs underwater.

The Fly (1986)

Corrected entry: In the scene where Jeff Goldblum starts transforming into the Brundlefly, there is a long sequence where his skin and body parts keep falling off and making a huge mess on the floor. After John Getz blows the creature's telepod power cord apart with a shotgun, he collapses onto the floor which is now clean.

Correction: As Brundlefly loses body parts, he also keeps moving backwards, leaving the shed skin and parts behind. He later stops, and throws Ronnie some feet, into the telepod. Stathis then comes up alongside the telepod that Ronnie is in and cuts THAT power cable (not "the creature's"), before collapsing. So the part of the floor where he lies, is a few feet away from where the Brundlefly parts fell.

I Am Sam (2001)

Corrected entry: When Sam and the visitors wait for Lucy at her birthday party, Brad is told to switch the light off. He pulls the switch but the light doesn't change. (00:29:55)

NancyFelix

Correction: That's because it's broad daylight outside, and there is a lot of light coming through the windows. There was no need for Brad to switch off any light, but to these mentally challenged people switching off the lights is part of what you're "supposed" to do at a surprise party, and they would not want to do anything wrong.

Corrected entry: The scene where the heroes are in pursuit in the forest is weird. The elf who does the tracking decides they are to take a shortcut to get ahead of Damodar en route. Next thing we see is Damodar in a castle. It doesn't make sense.

Correction: It makes perfect sense. They were pursuing Damodar and decided to try to get ahead of him by a shortcut, but miscalculated, and he got to safety before they caught up with him. Simple.

Leon (1994)

Corrected entry: There are some inconsistencies with where Mathilda is supposed to be going to school. First of all, her father knows she goes to a boarding school and, according to the headmistress, she was supposed to be there at the time of all these events. Yet he asks her if she's done her homework, and she replies "I did it already" - implying that he thinks she's supposed to be going to school somewhere near home. Second, these events are all occurring in July - it's possible that a boarding school would have year-round classes, but as far as I know New York schools do not.

Correction: Like the submitter said, it is possible that the boarding school would have all-year classes. Secondly, Mathilda's father is not exactly someone who takes much interest in his kids. He can see that Mathilda spends all her time at home, but he simply does not care. When he asks her about her homework, he is not really concerned about her, but is grabbing for excuses to slap her and order her back into the apartment.

Corrected entry: In the corn scene, Jason is set on fire, and then takes out his machete and the sheath is still on, but then its gone after the machete is thrown into the air.

Hamster

Correction: After Jason pulls out his machete, there are several shots where he is not shown and the camera is on the kid he is chasing. He had plenty of time and opportunity to remove the sheath.

Freddy Vs. Jason (2003)

Corrected entry: When the kid wakes up and his father is sitting beside him with his neck chopped on the porch of his house, the kid hears a noise in the bushes. As he walks towards them, we get a shot of the bushes moving - if you look to the right of the bushes, the shadow of someone shaking them is visible. (00:18:35)

Correction: First of all, Blake hears the noise in the bushes in his dream, before he wakes up to find his father dead. Secondly, why shouldn't there be a shadow? There is actually someone there, namely Freddy. It's a bit sloppy of him to expose even as much as a shadow, but it is possible, espescially seeing how eager and concentrated he is on scaring and killing Blake.

Corrected entry: Why would the Remans chose to name their battleship 'Scimitar' after a Terran weapon? Even though Shinzon was cloned from Picard's DNA, he does not seem to have Picard's memories.

Correction: Why do they speak English at all? By suspension of disbelief, we accept that the Romulans/Remans speak in a language the viewers understand. Under this rule, it is highly likely that the ship was named after a Romulan/Reman weapon, that resembled an Earth scimitar. Hence, the name is "translated" for our benefit.

I Am Sam (2001)

Corrected entry: Sometime in the beginning, Sam takes baby Lucy to a picture booth. During the time in the booth, we can see all three flashes and what pose each picture has. However, when the pictures are printed, they aren't the same as what was taken in the booth. It is most noticeable in the second picture in the middle.

Correction: This scene is part of a long montage showing how Sam takes care of and plays with Lucy when she is small. He takes several series of pictures, and the poses we see are not necessarily the ones we see being developed.
