Mr. Monk Is on the Run (2) - S6-E16

Corrected entry: When Mr. Monk and Natalie escape from the Sheriff at the car wash in Sparks, Nevada, they end up taking the Sheriff's car. They are first seen after this with this car as they are checking the Sheriff's briefcase on the side of the road. Then, the very next scene is with Natalie and the man behind bars at San Quentin (just north of San Francisco and at least a 2 to 3 hour drive from Sparks, Nevada). Then they are seen with Natalie's car at the parade in Riverton, CA (a town between San Francisco and San Quentin). The only way this could have happened is if they drove all the way back to Sparks, Nevada and then changed cars and returned to Riverton, California (at least 5 to 6 hours driving). Since the parade was happening that day, there would not have been enough time to do all of this driving and get to the parade on time.

Correction: They only took Rollins' car to escape and so he couldn't follow them. They had plenty of time to get Natalie's car once they were safe. Mr. Monk was already lying low while Natalie went to San Quentin, and Natalie got a camera put in her purse. So they did several things prior to Natalie going to the jail.

Mr. Monk Is on the Run (2) - S6-E16

Corrected entry: When Mr. Monk is at the hotel, a teenage girl comes in to change the towels with the puppy Eureka. At the hotel, Eureka is referred to as a "she" by both the teenage girl and Mr. Monk. However, at the end, when Mr. Monk "solves the case" of how the bomb will be set off, he talks about puppy Eureka again. This time, however, Mr. Monk says something to the effect that "he" (referring to Eureka) was wearing a special dog collar instead of saying that "she" was wearing a special dog collar. Not an error that the detail-obsessed Monk would make.

Correction: Monk has an eidetic memory giving him complete recall of everything he sees and hears which would include the dogs correct gender as female and not male.

Correction: We can see that Monks memory is sometimes not perfect, an example would be when he can't remember the exact order of his fears without his list. Monk accidently saying "he" instead of "she" is very likely considering it was the heat of the moment and that he is human.

Mr. Monk Goes to Jail - S2-E16

Factual error: When Monk visits the prison for the first time, he is searched, passed, and has a mini-panic attack because people have touched him. Sharona steps forward to comfort him, and she puts her arms around him. This is a very serious breach of procedure and it is not possible for the guards to miss it, because Sharona has not been searched. It's a common technique for trying to pass contraband called 'a touch through' - a person with an item to be smuggled into the prison (drugs, usually), passes them on to a person who has been searched and is therefore 'clean'. Monk would be taken back to the guard's station to be searched again. He would not be allowed leniency because the guards happen to know or to like him - visitor ingress and egress is always done under CCTV and the guard would know he was being watched - quite possibly by someone who doesn't know who Monk and Sharona are.

Suggested correction: Sharona was searched first by the female guard.

In fact Sharona breaks away from the female guard to go to Monk. She has NOT been searched.

The correction is correct. The female guard already finished patting Sharona down before the male guard even had a chance to start his pat down of Monk.

Yeah, the correction is correct. I went back six times through that clip: Sharona and Monk both get searched, and then Sharona touches Monk.

Mr. Monk Goes to Mexico - S2-E2

Trivia: According to co-producer Tom Scharpling, the Mexican homicide cops are purposely written as parodies of Stottlemeyer and Disher, right down to their attitudes, their ranks, their suits, and Captain Alameda's mustache. Even the bumbling lieutenant's name is a little joke on Disher. Plato means "dish" in Spanish.

Answer: Stottlemeyer was already upset after the phone call. He was trying to get "Kevin" (who would have to be a judge, but no further character information is given) to issue a restraining order with no evidence of needing one, except that Adrian Monk said she needs one. Kevin said he would need to "sleep on it." So it's clear they've been trying to provide protection and unable to get the results they need, which seems to be based on no one trusting Monk the way Stottlemeyer does. He's just angry that they failed to protect Linda despite all their work. Although it does feel like a scene was cut, or altered, from the show that shows the futile attempts to protect Linda which built up to his outrage.

Answer: While walking upstairs in the victims house randy starts messing with his out of place tennis shoes. When he gets upstairs to monks he has on other shoes. Could have to do with the expensive rug.
