Continuity mistake: When Gary goes through the pet door to run away from SpongeBob, when SpongeBob opens the door, there is no other side to the pet door.

Continuity mistake: When Spongebob is talking about treasure to Gary, behind him is a door. If you look closely you can see a TV in the room, but when Spongebob and Gary enter the TV is replaced by a door.

Deliberate mistake: Spongebob gets stuck in the top of a tree as Gary removes the ladder. In previous episodes it's quite clear that he's more than willing to 'fall' as he takes no damage when hitting the ground due to the low fall speed.

Continuity mistake: Gary Takes a Bath: When SpongeBob is in the tree, Gary steals the ladder, then drops it behind him. The ladder can still be seen behind Gary two shots later, but it is gone in all the following shots. (00:22:13 - 00:22:58)

Continuity mistake: Gary Take a Bath: The huge mud puddle around the tree was never there when SpongeBob first heard Gary's meows coming from the tree. In addition, when SpongeBob first looks down at Gary from the tree, the mud puddle is about the size of Gary, but in the next shot, it becomes tremendously bigger. (00:21:34 - 00:22:10)
