Smallville

Perry - S3-E5

Continuity mistake: As Perry and Clark talk for the last time in this episode the sunlight in the scene changes between shots. As they step out of the truck the sun is behind them as they walk towards the road where the bus is going to stop. When Perry turns to face Clark the sunlight, which should now be hitting Perry right in the face, is instead casting a bright orange light on the back of Perry's head.

Forsaken (1) - S3-E21

Continuity mistake: While Clark and Pete are playing basketball, in the wide shot Clark and Pete, and the side of the barn where the hoop is, are in full sunlight. When the shot zooms in Clark and the barn are now in shadow.

Magnetic - S3-E7

Continuity mistake: The first time Seth tries levitating a spoon, he floats it a few inches towards him. When Lana enters and breaks his concentration, it falls back down almost exactly where it had been.

Suggested correction: Even though it's impossible to tell how much the spoon moves towards him, the spoon was in the middle of the jello, then lands in front of the jello, a few inches away from the middle.

Hereafter - S3-E12

Continuity mistake: In the head on shot of the car that almost hits Mr. Altman you see the driver of that car react by turning his car to the left. In the very next shot, as Clark and Mr. Altman are just coming to a stop after Clark's high speed rescue, the driver is now turning his car to the right, as shown by which way his wheels are turned.

Hereafter - S3-E12

Continuity mistake: When Adam says "It's nice to be appreciated" Lex is looking at Adam. In the next shot, as Lex says "strange thing is." and now Lex is looking down at the file or piano.

Forsaken (1) - S3-E21

Continuity mistake: After Lionel finds out about the wire that Lex has been wearing, he sits down and tells Lex to get out. As Lex leaves, in the wide shot, Lionel drops his hands down to his lap. In the zoomed in shot Lionel's hands are up to his face as he plays with the wire. There was no time for him to make that move between shots.

Memoria - S3-E19

Continuity mistake: As Clark is sitting in his barn's loft his mother enters while he watches a model of the solar system. In the shot when he turns it off the large red globe, which looks to be Jupiter, stops well to the right of the model's sun in this shot. When the shot returns to Clark, Jupiter is now partially in front of the sun. Clark had not moved his hand from the off switch so he didn't move the model by hand and the model would have taken longer to make another rotation to put in that position.

Magnetic - S3-E7

Continuity mistake: As Lana gets ready to throw the first ball there is a kid in a red, black and white shirt in the background and he is walking away from the scene. Just after she throws the ball the very same kid is calmly walking behind her again.

Perry - S3-E5

Factual error: Perry uses a simple black rope to tie himself to the railing by his ankle. This is not a bungee cord of any kind. He falls and is stopped, jerked to a stop actually, with both his weight and the weight of Clark pulling on his ankle. This would cause a very serious sprain if not an actual broken ankle yet Perry shows no signs of being injured when he and Clark walk to the bus.

Relic - S3-E6

Factual error: Tate fires at Clark, who is dressed as the drifter, 8-9 times from a revolver that is chambered for only 6 rounds.

Suggested correction: I count 5 shots fired, which is how he had 1 left that he was planning on using on himself. You must be counting ricochets or other sounds as shots fired.

Delete - S3-E11

Continuity mistake: When Molly first starts flipping through the disks for Lex, she has a ring on her left ring finger. After Lex talks about just getting back Molly is shown still flipping through the disks only now the ring is gone.

Velocity - S3-E13

Continuity mistake: As the car that Jason was in comes to a stop after the crash you can see Pete's red car is nowhere near the wreckage of Jason's car. In the next shot Pete's car is shown rolling forward to a stop, meaning he hadn't backed up but was still going forward and stopped where he was, but now Pete is only 30-40 feet from the wreck of Jason's car.

Perry - S3-E5

Continuity mistake: As the telephone pole crashes falls on Perry's car the sky is bright blue with very widely spread clouds. Clark takes less than two seconds to get Perry out of the car and as he runs away from the car, with Perry in his arms, the sky now has many more clouds than before.

Obsession - S3-E14

Continuity mistake: When Alicia confronts Lana in the Talon, when Alicia says, "you're definitely not smarter" Alicia has the knife right on Lana's cheek. When the camera switches to behind Lana, as Alicia says, "You don't have my abilities" the knife is not on her cheek.

Resurrection - S3-E15

Continuity mistake: Garret is shot in the chest and the bullet is shown as hitting on the right side. Then, in the special effects shots as time is stopped and Garret is in mid-fall, his bullet wound is now on the left side of his chest.

Magnetic - S3-E7

Continuity mistake: Seth fires at Clark and Clark dives behind a ride car to dodge the bullets. As Clark stands up he brushes the impacted bullets off of his shoulder. Seth says "Looks like I'm not the only one with special powers." before he turns to use his powers to pick up a ride car that is behind him. As Seth starts to get the car in the air, in the background you can see Clark is only just standing up and brushing his shoulder off again.

Asylum - S3-E9

Continuity mistake: When Lex first tries to break out of Belle Reve, he stabs a security guard in the leg with a pencil deep enough to draw a large amount of blood on the guy's pants leg. But when Lex is trying to incapacitate the man you can see the pencil flopping around on the guards leg and not sticking inside the guy's leg.

Perry - S3-E5

Audio problem: After Perry explains that the information he has on Lionel is with "multiple attorneys with 'in the event of my death' instructions" Perry tells Lex that the information is "all yours". As he says "all yours" the camera is behind and you can see Perry's mouth say "I just want one thing." but you don't hear Perry actually speak the line until the camera has switched and is facing Perry.

Obsession - S3-E14

Continuity mistake: After Adam says "Look who's talking." you can see Lana raise the notebook she found as she starts to respond when the camera is behind her. When the camera jumps to the other side, facing Lana, the notebook is down instantly between shots and she has to raise it up again.

Truth - S3-E18

Continuity mistake: Lex whispers into his father's ear something about keeping secrets. At first the view is of him less than an inch away from his ear. In the next shot he's at least six inches away.

Shimmer - S1-E10

Lana Lang: That's the thing about Clark Kent. He's not always there when you want him... But he's always there when you need him.

Hero - S7-E13

Trivia: When Clark confronts the Flash in his hotel room, he reads off the fake IDs Jay Garrick, Barry Allen and Wally West. Those are the secret identities of the first three men to be called the Flash in the comics. Also, this Flash says his name is Bart, like Bart Allen, the teen hero formerly known as Impulse and currently being called "Kid Flash." (00:10:35)

Answer: In the comics, Krypto is a dog from Krypton who was used as the passenger in a test launch by Jor-El, Superman's father, before he launched the actual rocket taking his infant son to Earth. Krypto's capsule was involved in a mishap, sending it out of Kryptonian orbit and eventually found its way to Earth where he linked up with the young Clark Kent. Like any native of Krypton, Krypto has superpowers on Earth. In Smallville, the dog is a standard Earth dog who has been experimentally injected with kryptonite, giving him super-strength for a limited period of time, who escapes and links up with Clark (who suggests the name Krypto, ostensibly because of the dog's cryptic origins). It doesn't take too long for the dog's strength to fade, and the Kents decide to keep him, although they ultimately name him Shelby, after a dog that Martha Kent had in childhood.
