Corrected entry: In the sewer, the guy with the big forehead starts singing with his guitar and a crowd gathers around. But you can see Leela's parents standing in the crowd and having no reaction to their daughter whatsoever, despite them knowing what she looks like. Considering later episodes, this is a bit confusing.
How Hermes Requisitioned His Groove Back - S2-E14
Corrected entry: This has to be done in slow-motion to actually notice. When Morgan and Hermes first meet they give each other a paper to stamp. It's already been established that a bureaucrat stamps forms five times, but, if you watch the scene in slow-motion, when Hermes gives Morgan a form to stamp and Morgan gives Hermes a form to stamp, Hermes stamps the form he was given 3 times and Morgan stamps the form she was given 2 times. Then when Hermes gives Morgan back her own form and Morgan gives Hermes his own form, Hermes stamps his own form twice and Morgan stamps her own form once. They both should have stamped both forms five times.
Correction: The rules of this site are quite clear - if you have to use slow motion or freeze frame to spot a mistake, it is not valid.
Xmas Story - S2-E8
Corrected entry: Professor Farnsworth says pine trees have been extinct for 800 years, yet they are shown in at least 3 previous scenes.
Correction: Those are fake pine trees. They fold down to be easier for skiers.
Why Must I Be a Crustacean in Love - S2-E9
Corrected entry: When Fry says he'll lend Zoidberg his arm, he holds it up. It has the right hand, but bends like the left arm.
Correction: It's definitely bending like a right arm would.
Why Must I Be a Crustacean in Love - S2-E9
Corrected entry: When Zoidberg cuts off Fry's right arm, it changes to a left arm lying on the ground.
How Hermes Requisitioned His Groove Back - S2-E14
Corrected entry: The other poker players confront Bender about his cheating using X-ray glasses, and he grabs the poker chips off the table and runs. What's the point of that? The other players know he's been cheating and they won't cash the chips - they are worthless plastic.
A Bicyclops Built for Two - S2-E13
Corrected entry: When Leela asks Alcazar why he held all the weddings on the same day, he replies that hiring a shape-shifting suit is expensive, but he would only need to hire a shape shifting suit if he was holding the weddings on the same day, else he could just have five different suits made. (00:20:00)
Correction: Who's to say that hiring five separate suits would be cheaper than one shape-shifting suit? He's clearly cheap.
Xmas Story - S2-E8
Corrected entry: When Fry and the others are talking about "Xmas" trees, they tell him that pine trees died out a long time ago. But, how can they say that when they were skiing around them, and over them, throughout the first scene?
A Bicyclops Built for Two - S2-E13
Corrected entry: The four other castles are really close to each other so why do Alcazar's other wives not know what he was doing? They can't have missed seeing him go into one of the other ones.
Correction: He's a shapeshifter, but none of his wives knows that until the wedding ceremony with Leila. Before that when they see him going into another castle they see him in another form, and they don't know it's him.
Corrected entry: When Nixon tries to go to the phone to call the police, he moves to the armrest. But when Bender plays his tape, Nixon moves back onto the seat.
Correction: Because of the angle it looks like he is sitting on the seat, but you can see he still is sitting on the armrest.
Corrected entry: When Bender shows everyone the card he got for Mom, he opens it and you can hear a melody play before the card says, "I love my mommy". Later, when Fry and Leela are leaving the robot museum, Leela reminds Bender to tell Mom that he loves her. Bender tells her that anyone can say that and that he has something else in store. Bender opens up the card, but this time you don't hear any melody being played. You only hear the card saying, "I love my mommy."
Correction: Later in the episode you find out that the card is a robot with a mind of its own so it probably didn't want to play the melody.
Corrected entry: Bender is surprised to know that the Ultimate Robot Fighting League is the most brutal form of fighting in the universe, yet at the beginning of the episode he claims that he loves "The Masked Unit", a well known fighter in the U.R.F.L, so how could he not know something like how dangerous a sport that he loves is?
Correction: Even though he knew it was fairly dangerous, he obviously didn't know it was the MOST dangerous form of fighting in the UNIVERSE.
Fry and the Slurm Factory - S2-E4
Corrected entry: At the planet with the Slurm, when they first meet Slurms MacKenzie, Fry gets some goo on his hand. He wipes it off on his pants and when he is doing so, the goo just disappears from picture. (It doesn't even fade a little).
Correction: How do we know how Slurm reacts with the fabric of Fry's clothes? We don't know the properties of either.
Corrected entry: When the Professor and Mom's clothes are thrown around the bedroom, their teeth are in jars next to the bed (they are definitely theirs as they comment on it on the DVD commentary.) The problem with this is that both of them are "wearing" their teeth, as can be seen when they talk.
Correction: Like most people, they have two (or more) pair of dentures - one is being cleaned, one is in use. Nothing unusual about that.
Corrected entry: It is revealed in a later episode that Leela wears a bracelet under he her wrist device. She isn't wearing it when the device escapes her wrist, although the bracelet is the only thing she has of her "true identity".
Correction: You have provided your own correction. 'In a later episode ...' Perhaps the significance of the bracelet (the link to her childhood) wasn't apparent until some future event (which we don't see) and she had it in her jewellery box, pocket, bank vault, whatever, until that point?
Corrected entry: In one scene Bender mentions that there is a chapter of his old fraternity, Epsilon Rho Rho. The letters on the house are "ERR". However, the Greek Letter for Rho is a "P".
Correction: And a thousand years in the future, after alien invasions have laid waste to the entire planet (twice.), the ice caps have melted and refrozen, and our grasp of history is such that we think that the moon was colonized by Jackie Gleeson and the crew of a whaling vessel, that little-known fact has been lost. Go figure.
Anthology of Interest I - S2-E20
Corrected entry: In the third tale of interest, with Stephen Hawking, after Fry doesn't go into the cryogenic tube, Bender, Leela and the Professor all appear, side by side. However, until Fry goes into the future, none of these knew each other (Bender was about to kill himself, Leela was happy working at the cryogenics lab and the professor had just lost his crew), so why would they be together?
Correction: The 'Tales of Interest' are fantasies, which are shown not even to have happened in the first place - they are fantasies in the Professor's fantasy.
My Problem With Popplers (a.k.a. The Problem With Popplers) - S2-E18
Corrected entry: Leela licks each of her four fingers only once but the sound of licking a finger plays five times.
Correction: She licks her thumb twice.
Corrected entry: Bender couldn't have flushed his chest down the toilet, it wouldn't have fitted. (00:11:50)
Correction: We never see Bender flush his chest. His chest could have been broken down into component parts that would fit and then reassembled. It might be unlikely that he put himself back together correctly (since he said he threw away his instruction manual), but flushing his chest down the toilet is not out of theoretical possibility.
Corrected entry: Bender didn't get affected by the magnet on the can opener. Normally he gets crazy and sings show tunes. (00:01:10)
Correction: Magnets on his head only affect his inhibition, thus allowing him to sing showtunes; they don't automatically make him sing. The can opener opening his head was probably significant shock to distract him from singing.
Correction: This is not a mistake. At this point in the series, Leela's parents are still trying to keep their distance, and not let anyone know that Leela is a mutant.
