Doctor Who

The Curse of Fenric - S26-E3

Continuity mistake: Near the end of episode 4 of "The Curse of Fenric", when Ace and the Doctor run out of the exploding bunker, the Doctor stumbles in the mud and puts his hand out to stop himself falling, getting mud all over it. The Doctor even stops to look at his muddied hand, in an almost symbolic gesture. Then the director goes in for the close-ups with the Doctor and Ace, and when the Doctor puts his hand up to rub Ace's nose (same hand), it's perfectly clean.

The Curse of Fenric - S26-E3

Continuity mistake: In episode 3, after the Nitro-9 explosion which Ace uses to blow up the wall, sealing up the mine shaft, the wall is can be seen still standing, unaffected by the blast. However, after a quick cutaway to the Doctor and Ace, the wall has vanished completely by the next shot.

Battlefield - S26-E1

Continuity mistake: When the roof falls on Ace and Shou Yuing, Ace's face gets covered in dark streaks, which mysteriously disappear soon afterwards.

Survival - S26-E4

Continuity mistake: In episode 2 of "Survival", Midge is captured, and the sabre tooth he's carrying gets knocked to the ground. Neither he nor the Master pick it up before they teleport to Earth. Yet in Episode 3, the Master is able to present the sabre tooth to Midge as he's about to ride his motorbike towards the Doctor.

The Curse of Fenric - S26-E3

Continuity mistake: In episode 2, when the Russian soldier is enticed into the water by the now-Haemovores Jean and Phyllis, watch his helmet, which he drops into the water as he moves towards them. When the camera angle changes to a shot of him from the front, we see his helmet slowly drift from directly behind him out to the right of screen. Then we cut to a shot of Jean and Phyllis, then back to the soldier - whereupon his helmet again drifts from directly behind him off to the right. Finally, when the other Haemovores drag him down into the water, look behind him and you'll see the helmet, sitting on the beach well above the waterline...

Survival - S26-E4

Continuity mistake: At the beginning of episode 3 when the Doctor tells Ace that she can do what the Cheetah People can, he puts his hand on her shoulder. In the next shot his hand is no longer there, but it's back again in the next.

Survival - S26-E4

Continuity mistake: When Karra dies and turns back into her human/humanoid form she is wearing a black top that they did not wear as a Cheetah Person.

Survival - S26-E4

Continuity mistake: When the Doctor picks up the humanoid skull his hat is looking normal but in the next shot the brim of his hat is folded down and completely flat. In the next shot it's back to not folded again.

Planet of the Spiders - S11-E5

Plot hole: At the climax of episode 2, the Doctor is about to catch Lupton when the latter simply teleports to safety. So why didn't he do that in the first place, before engaging in a 15-minute chase?

The Chase - S2-E8

Trivia: Such was the popularity of Doctor Who in Britain in the mid-1960s that even the Beatles wanted to make an appearance in the show. So a scene was written into "The Chase" to allow them to appear. The idea had been devised of including a scene on the Time and Space Visualiser depicting a Beatles fiftieth-anniversary concert in 2015, with the Fab Four dressed up as old men. John, Paul, George, and Ringo themselves were interested in the proposition, but it was vetoed by their manager, Brian Epstein. It was then thought that an appearance by the Beatles on Top of the Pops might be used instead, but no such footage was available. Fortunately, the Beatles were scheduled to perform "Ticket to Ride" at Riverside Studios in Hammersmith on April 10th, 1965, and that footage was used instead.

Earthshock - S19-E6

Question: In Earthshock, season 19, at the end of episode 3, the Cyber Leader views his troops marching down the corridor. Each column is headed by a Cyber Leader. Is this a mistake, or is there more than one Cyber Leader allowed per army?

Answer: In 'The Five Doctors', three separate Cyberleaders are definitely used. So it's likely that Cyberleaders are like unit commanders, of which a fair-sized army might have several.
