Baby, It's Cold Outside - S7-E9
Factual error: As Hawkeye performs CPR on the hypothermic soldier, he pumps his arms from his ellbows. CPR is done by keeping the arms stiff and pumping with the whole upper body. Hawkeye as a surgeon would know that. Fun Fact: You can perform CPR one-handed in a pinch, but only as long as you keep your arms stiff.
Continuity mistake: Private Rich's left boot is totally black when he's put on the chopper. When it goes up, it's worn to the bare leather, and back to new looking during the landing.
Revealing mistake: In the first scene, when the camera pans back, in the upper left corner of the screen you can see that a part of the tent has been removed to make room for the camera. (00:02:15)
Continuity mistake: When Potter is on the phone, he turns to hush Hawkeye and BJ. As he does so, he's holding the receiver with his left hand, and covering the mouthpiece with his right. He then puts his left hand down on the arm of the chair. When the camera cuts in for a close up, his left hand is on the phone again.
Revealing mistake: When Hawkeye and BJ are in the showers and Margaret steals their towels and clothes, the duo head back to the Swamp naked, but we can see the top of whatever Hawkeye's wearing.
Continuity mistake: Charles arranges a prank that involves a cake. The cake looks totally different in the respective shots. At least three cakes were involved: The one Klinger gives to Margret looks different from the one she holds in her hands when walking over to Capt. Hill. The one she holds in her hand in the closeup counter shots is yet another pie.
Continuity mistake: Charles (in scrubs), Radar, and Father Mulchahy are all in the changing room when Radar and Mulchahy go take a phone call. When entering the comm room, Charles has appeared and is complaining about waiting for a phone call in his fatigues.
Revealing mistake: When the ambulance arrives in the compound at Christmas eve, it drives through the newly fallen snow, but it doesn't leave any tracks. Vehicles driving over a very thin snow cover always leave dark tracks, because the pressure instantly melts the snow just below the wheels. Even a person walking through the snow would leave dark footprints under these conditions.
Continuity mistake: While Igor is serving dinner, his cap peak goes from being up in the front shot to down in the side shot, while he is talking to Col. Potter.
Visible crew/equipment: While BJ's holding Peg's letter and telling Hawkeye about being homesick and depressed, the edge of the Swamp set can be seen at the top, left corner of the screen.

Visible crew/equipment: After Radar shows the box of bees to BJ and Hawkeye, when BJ gets in the jeep and drives off, just before the shot cuts away we can see the T-mark on the ground at Radar's feet.
Visible crew/equipment: After a 14 hour shift in the OR, when sleepy BJ and Hawkeye are in the change room just as Hawkeye says, "Let's face it, their demand is bigger than your supply," the shadow of the moving boom mic is visible on the curtain.
Continuity mistake: When BJ and Hawkeye are peeking into Radar's box of bees, in the wideshot there's tape on the box, but in the closeup the tape has vanished.
Visible crew/equipment: As the M.P. jeep escorting the General's jeep gets close to the camera, a reflection of a lighting rig or reflector is seen in the right windscreen.
Hot Lips Is Back in Town - S7-E19
Revealing mistake: While Hawkeye's in the shower Radar shows up with a cup of coffee, and when Hawkeye steps out of the shower stall the door swings out so we can see the top of whatever Hawkeye's wearing.
Hot Lips Is Back in Town - S7-E19
Factual error: In the beginning, you can see that there's a First Lieutenant bar on Margaret's left collar instead of the medical symbol Caduceus, like Charles has on.
Other mistake: After pulling out of the camp to head for the cave, The Bus is shown from several angles. Even though it's loaded, the shots of it travelling are re-used shots from an earlier episode, and the place it stops is a re-used shot from the episode "Rainbow Bridge"
Rally 'Round the Flagg, Boys - S7-E21
Revealing mistake: When Col. Flagg holds his pistol up to stop Mr. Pak Sr. from leaving, you can see there is no magazine in the pistol.

Suggested correction: True, but doing CPR the real way is going to likely seriously injure the actor it is being performed upon.

Explaining why mistakes occur does not invalidate them.

Chest compressions can definitely be performed by pumping from the elbow, one or two handed. The first documented use was in 1891, so Hawkeye would be aware of it. However, modern CPR standards, including straight arm procedures, were not developed until at least 1960 by the American Heart Association. Using straight arms and bending at the hips uses the larger muscle groups of the core and legs, which provides more control, as well as stamina. This is not an error for the Korean War era.
Additionally, what Lorg said - you don't want to hurt the actor, you can see his shoulders rise as his arms straighten, giving the illusion of compressions. There is another episode where Hawkeye is performing chest compressions similarly, and yells at the unconscious patient that his arms are getting tired, which is what would happen with bent elbow compressions, and one of the reasons modern technique uses straight arms.
I didn't know that, but it makes sense that CPR procedures would evolve. You should submit that as a direct correction to my mistake.
