If you look carefully, he picks up his suitcase and then puts it back down on the table on purpose. Also, when he leaves the room, you can see him turn around and hide out of shot waiting for his cue to come back in. (00:20:15)
Correction: Stevens is making an excuse to come back in because he wants the boss to spank him. All his actions are deliberate.

Corrected entry: At the fight Ross walks up with a very big drink and a even bigger tub of popcorn, however you never see it again after that shot. It can't be on the floor, they would have stepped on it, and considering the size of it, you should have been able to see it.
Correction: He has put them on the floor between his feet, after all there is nowhere else to put them. There is no reason why he would step on them since he knows they are there. We can't see them because we never see a shot of the floor.
Correction: It could be a Vegi burger. We have no way of knowing.
