The Green Mill Murder - S1-E3

Continuity mistake: During the interrogation of Mr. Rogers, the distance between the trumpet and the mute constantly changes between shots. And when he says "So what? Doesn't prove a thing!", Miss Fisher is holding her hand on top of the mute, instead of having her arms folded. (00:49:40 - 00:51:00)

The Green Mill Murder - S1-E3

Plot hole: The murder weapon during Miss Fisher's demonstration hardly appears to generate enough momentum not just to send a projectile across the room with lethal force, but also do it achieving full penetration through clothes, disappearing entirely inside the body so the coroner wouldn't notice. That's assuming that the coroner did not even bother to in fact open up the cadaver and perform autopsy, which would be strange, especially with a weapon of undisclosed characteristics, when finding out more about the depth and damage to internal organs would have been crucial. And with any autopsy the dart would have been found, solving the case almost immediately. (00:49:45)

The Green Mill Murder - S1-E3

Plot hole: Talking about the murder weapon, the coroner says that the wound was a "horizontal" stab. Nerine's confession is ruled out because she mimics the attack at an angle. Funnily enough though, during interrogation, Jack himself makes a remark about the stage being a spot overseeing the room, and the killer was in fact on stage, and standing. When we see briefly the flashback of the murder, it's clear that the trumpet is way above the head of everyone dancing. So the projectile wound would hardly be "horizontal."

The Green Mill Murder - S1-E3

Factual error: At the beginning, Charles is trying to sell his airplane to Miss Fisher: he calls it a "Tiger Moth." The series is set in the 20s, and he should have simply said a "de Havilland Moth", which were the most popular recreational aircraft of the decade. The Tiger Moth though came out in 1931, making its mention an impossibility. (when we see the plane, it's a model manufactured in 1942, going by its registration number).

Death at Victoria Dock - S1-E4

Continuity mistake: When Miss Fisher tends to the fatal wound of the victim, she slips one glove off, using it to plug the hole in his chest. She suddenly then has both gloves off. Even assuming the montage implies a lengthier amount of time elapsed, when she takes the box from the dying guy her hand is all bloodied up, but it shows much cleaner in the following shot. Death at Victoria Dock - S1-E4

Continuity mistake: As Miss Fisher gulps down her stiff drink thanking Butler the butler, she holds her hand in her lap all bent and twisted in a quirky claw shape. There was no indication of it in the previous shot, where she was simply rubbing her thumb. (00:06:35)

Death at Victoria Dock - S1-E4

Continuity mistake: As they are waiting for the events to unfold at the bank in Church street, Miss Fisher tells the constable to try and look natural. The poor nervous chap holds his hand on the lapel of the coat at a different height between shots. (00:48:30)

Death at Victoria Dock - S1-E4

Revealing mistake: When Miss Fisher reads the newspaper just before the final reveal, it's Friday 26 August 1928's newspaper. Remarkable, considering 6/26/1928 was a Sunday. It's not the only peculiar trait of that first page though, as in the text you can read the name "Casey Anthony" multiple times together with "not guilty" in bold text etc., all parts of a tragic story happening over 80 years after this episode. Death at Victoria Dock - S1-E4

Plot hole: The anarchists were alarmed enough by Nina running away to abandon their safehouse in a hurry, but still go through with their plan to rob the bank as planned - hard to see why, since it was a generic bank robbery and nothing about it seemed time sensitive - and look totally dumbfounded by Peter's presence or the fact that it could all be a trap, when it's obvious their plan had been exposed - it's why they left, after all.

Raisins and Almonds - S1-E5

Factual error: Looking at the lending list card, we see that Saul returned the book on the 26th of August 1928, a Sunday (when we assume the privately owned store would be closed), and more importantly, that his last name changed: from Saul Michaels as he was mentioned in conversation, to Saul Abrahams as it is written on the card. Raisins and Almonds - S1-E5

Revealing mistake: The leap between two buildings during the rooftop chase is just awkward looking. No way the simple little hop filmed from behind can bring the man over the long distance shown in the following shot. (00:14:40)

Raisins and Almonds - S1-E5

Other mistake: Miss Fisher takes a handwritten phrase in "ancient" Hebrew to one of the main characters to be translated. The writing is actually in cursive Hebrew and is properly written. While performing the translation however, the "expert" translator holds the writing upside down. He also follows the writing with his finger from left to right. Hebrew is written from right to left. (00:32:00)

Raisins and Almonds - S1-E5

Plot hole: It turns out in the climax of the episode that there are no bullets left in the gun and Miss Fisher knew it. That would mean then that she deliberately wasted minutes with Simon bleeding out on the floor when Chaim was holding them at gunpoint with an empty revolver, for no discernible purpose.

Ruddy Gore - S1-E6

Continuity mistake: Miss Fisher is in his friend's office. He gets the five minute call, marked by a conspicuous jump in continuity as he was standing by a chair, and now is leaning against it with his hand at the top of the back. (00:04:00)

Ruddy Gore - S1-E6

Character mistake: The general idea in the first part of the scene with Dot and Miss Fisher at the balcony would be that she is so flustered by the handsome actor, she was wearing her binoculars backwards. But Ashleigh Cummings is in fact at first looking through the binoculars the proper way, then turns them around, and puts them the wrong way. (00:05:00)
