Audio problem: Paul uses a chainsaw to cut some metal on the stuck gate. He finishes, and you hear the chainsaw spin down as it stops. The chainsaw is not spinning at all, but it's still making noise.

Continuity mistake: Right at the beginning of the film, Michell walks into the gate of the school. The sun is off to one side and it's later in the day. Instantly, when he's inside the school, the sun is overhead.

Deliberate mistake: Lou and Eddie are driving Bart around in the cop car. Bart asks when they're going to shoot people. The shot cuts to Lou, who is driving. The entire frame of the car disappears around him and it's just him superimposed over a background. The shot cuts again and the frame is now visible. Even if it was a low-angle shot, you'd still see the roof of the car.

Continuity mistake: Lee is talking to Randi while she is sick in bed. She's looking at him. The shot cuts to another angle, and she's looking toward the camera.

Continuity mistake: Guillermo is lying on a table in the hospital and wearing a dress. Nadja comes in, trying to get him out of there. While she is talking to him, he sits up a bit and starts playing with the bottom of his shirt. The shot cuts, and now he is lying flat on the table again.

Trivia: A significant amount of the movie was shot at Hell's Half Acre, 45 minutes west of Casper, Wyoming. This substituted as the Bug planets, in particular Planet P. Some local residents of Casper were extras in the film. The crew faced difficulties with filming in Wyoming, particularly weather-related issues. At times, the area experienced high temperatures during the day, causing some actors to suffer heat strokes. At night, the temperatures would drop significantly, or it would snow.

Revealing mistake: Near the end, there is a scene of the bad guy hanging upside down on Mt. Richmore. In the top left is an odd line going through the shot. Other mistake: When they're trying to head to Mexico, they pass the same rock formations several times. Specifically, earlier in the drive, the formations are in the scene where they mention the Rocky Mountains. The same formations can be seen later when they get pulled over by the cop. It's like they're driving in circles. Part of the film was shot outside of Moab, Utah, near Arches National Park. (01:34:19 - 01:41:30)

Revealing mistake: Near the end, as they are chasing the two women, the cops turn around on the freeway into the dirt median. They follow exact tyre tracks from previous takes.

Audio problem: Right after the girls blow up the tanker, there is a sequence with scanner traffic. They show some helicopters. Right at the beginning of the scene with the choppers, the audio of them cuts out for a split second.

Continuity mistake: When Jack is trying to catch up to the bus in Tuneman's car, the sun changes several times. In most angles, it's to their right. At one point, it is behind them. Then, it's above them.

Continuity mistake: Jack is lying on his horn trying to get onto the onramp. This is right before he drives past Tuneman. He is lying on the horn, and yet both of his hands are on the wheel.

Audio problem: Near the beginning of the film, when the sheriffs are chasing Kya, she takes her boat through some trees. The main sheriff says "in there," or something similar. His mouth doesn't match what he is saying.

Factual error: Near the beginning when the Ducks are late for the ceremony at the school, they're rollerblading around Minneapolis. In one short moment, they're rollerblading around Minnehaha Falls, which is in Minneapolis (the scene where Goldberg goes down the stairs). The next, they are skating down Ramsey Avenue in St. Paul (the scene just before they are forced to jump over the rail). That's a distance of nearly 5 miles. This is within the space of seconds.

Continuity mistake: After the old man plugs the lamp in and starts to admire it, Ralphie is looking up at it. Cut to the other angle where we can see his face, and he is now looking down.
