Plot hole: On 10/8/04, Hope drew a comparison between the current situation and the movie "A Shark's Tale", saying Zach wanted to go as the shark that didn't eat people. But Hope had been trapped on an isolated island for weeks, since well before that movie came out, so how could she know anything about it?

Passions (1999)
Plot hole: On 9/27/04, Martin went to Sheridan's cottage and retrieved a gun that he said he had hidden there many years earlier, when the Lopez-Fitzgerald family lived there. But Beth burned Sheridan's cottage down in March of 2003, and it was completely rebuilt. So Martin's gun would not have been there anymore.

Passions (1999)
Plot hole: On 10/4/04, Paloma received a call on her cell phone from her Aunt Maria. But earlier in the year, the only way that Paloma and other people in Puerta Arena could communicate with people in Harmony was via a very low quality telephone land line. And even if one of the Cranes had given Paloma a cell phone when she arrived in Harmony, how would her Aunt Maria have the number?

Days of Our Lives (1965)
Plot hole: New Salem is supposed to be in the Caribbean, while actual Salem is in the Midwest (near Chicago). When Hope and Patrick's plane crashed in August of 2004, it was close enough to New Salem that they washed up there. But it was also close enough to Salem that Bo was able to take a helicopter out to the crash site. Helicopters have a maximum range of 500 miles, while the Caribbean is over a thousand miles from the upper Midwest, so this is impossible.

Passions (1999)
Plot hole: On 10/4/04, Paloma met Chad and she explained that she knew all about what had happened with him and Whitney and the Cranes. But how did she know about that? She talked very little with her family before she left the Crane Mansion, and she wasn't present when Eve and Julian told Katherine about what had happened. Yet she talked to Chad about the situation as if she'd heard about it from someone close to the situation.

Days of Our Lives (1965)
Plot hole: On 9/29/04, Lexie called Brady to tell him that his father, John, was missing and presumed dead. She made the call from a pay phone in the hospital lobby. But why would Lexie make such a sensitive call from a public place, when she has an office?

Days of Our Lives (1965)
Plot hole: On 9/14/04, Hope tells Patrick that Billie Reed is the only person who has ever come between her and Bo. But that statement is more than a little ridiculous. Stefano DiMera, Princess Gina, Megan Hathaway, Larry Welch, and John Black have all come between Bo and Hope.

Days of Our Lives (1965)
Plot hole: During the week of 9/6/04, Patrick delivered Jennifer's baby, and wrapped the infant in his own red shirt. Eventually, the baby was wrapped in a receiving blanket, and Patrick was wearing the red shirt again. But a newborn baby had been swaddled in that shirt, meaning that it should have been revoltingly unwearable.

Passions (1999)
Plot hole: During the summer of 2004, a single day in the lives of the characters lasted more than six weeks for the viewers. During the night of this day, far more happened than could ever really happen in one night. In the middle of that night, after Theresa's ordeal on the cliff (which started at night and must have taken several hours by itself), Luis and Sheridan flew to Mexico and had plenty of time to explore Puerto Arena and fight with Paloma. Just the flight to Mexico should have taken most of the night in the first place.

Passions (1999)
Plot hole: When the doctor told Theresa that she was carrying twins, he told her that each baby had its own amniotic sac and that therefore they were fraternal. This was stated over and over again in the next few episodes. However, identical twins can also have separate amniotic sacs, as long as the egg divides early enough in the pregnancy. It is not uncommon.

Days of Our Lives (1965)
Plot hole: On 8/9/04, Patrick told Hope that she would be able to jam the force field by "hitting the keys in an even and then an odd number sequence." This phrase is completely meaningless, but it is all the information that Patrick gave Hope about the keypad, which we had previously seen was a regular nine (or ten) digit keypad. And yet, Hope was able to get back through.

Passions (1999)
Plot hole: Flashbacks have now shown that when Martin Fitzgerald and Katherine Crane left Harmony, Paloma was a small baby, while Julian was a teenager. But if that's the case, then Paloma would have to be older than Ethan, who was conceived on Julian's wedding night with Ivy, which we're now being told didn't happen until after Katherine and Martin left. But Paloma is only eighteen as of August 2004, having just graduated high school. Ethan is at least in his mid to late twenties, having been a practicing lawyer in 1999.

Passions (1999)
Plot hole: On 8/10/04, Luis asks everyone where Paloma got the necklace with the Crane Industries logo on it. Katherine tells him that a man gave it to her, "a few weeks ago." Although the episode in which those events happened did indeed air several weeks earlier, it was the morning of the same day as experienced by the characters.

Passions (1999)
Plot hole: In May of 2004, Gwen had a job interview is Boston, and she was taking a taxi to the airport. The taxi definitely left Harmony, because when Gwen decided not to go to Boston, the driver told her when they were "back in Harmony." But that doesn't match up with what we know about the airports in the area. Harmony itself has an international airport. Sheridan and Luis flew from there to Mexico, and Theresa's flight to Australia was departing from Harmony. Theresa has also flown from there to Los Angeles. But when Sheridan and Luis flew to France several years ago, their flight left from Boston, and Boston was close enough to Harmony that they had driven there. So if Gwen is going to Boston, then she should either be taking a direct flight from Harmony, or driving straight to the city.

Center Stage (2000)
Plot hole: In Jonathan's ballet at the workshop, Sergei proceeds very slowly through an array of twenty dancers before reaching the leading lady, whom he expects to be Maureen. But instead it is Eva, whom Maureen has asked to take her place. When Sergei sees Eva, he is extremely surprised. I guess that could make sense, if he's been focused on his own dancing. But the stage crew and several dancers in the wings start chattering confusedly, as if they've also just seen Eva for the first time in that same moment. However, Eva must have been standing there for several minutes, or at the very least had just walked through the crowd of surprised people, and Maureen must have been missing from her spot this whole time, so these people should be in mid-reaction. The Days (2004)
Plot hole: In order for the show to be starting on "Day 1,412" as counted back from Cooper's eventual high school graduation, it would have to be a mere 49 days after his graduation from the eighth grade. (4*365 = 1460 + 1 for leap year) So it should be the middle of summer, but instead the school year seems to be in full swing. For example, it's already the end of Natalie's soccer season.

Days of Our Lives (1965)
Plot hole: On 7/16/04, Mimi heard on the radio that her brother Patrick was dead, and then she went to Alice's and told her mother Bonnie. But the news never releases the names of victims of any type of fatal event before the family has been notified, so Mimi never should have heard news like that on the radio.

Passions (1999)
Plot hole: On 7/21/04, Tabitha was using night vision binoculars to spy on Charity and Ivy, and she lamented that they did not enable her to hear their conversation. If she wants to hear them, then why doesn't she use her scrying bowl? It lets her see and hear conversations taking place anywhere in Harmony, and she has been consistently able to use it even without her full powers.

Days of Our Lives (1965)
Plot hole: On 7/8/04, Belle listened to her answering machine messages, hoping that Shawn may have called her. Her outgoing message was, "This is Belle. You know what to do. If this is Shawn, please call me." That doesn't make any sense. If Shawn is hearing that message, then he has indeed called her and doesn't need to be told to do so. And if he doesn't call, he will never hear the message asking him to call.

Passions (1999)
Plot hole: On 6/24/04, Martin and Katherine were in Mexico, reading a Harmony Herald article about Sheridan dropping the kidnapping charges against Luis. But that happened on the same day (not on the same day's show, but rather the same day in the characters' lives) as they were reading about it, so it would not have been printed in a newspaper yet. And even if it somehow had, it certainly could not have been transported to Mexico from a small town in New England on the same day.
