Key Largo (1948)

Continuity mistake: During the whole scene with the policeman waking up and confronting Rocko, there are several wide-angle shots of the room. The windows show fairly bright light coming from outside...it must have been a case of clear-day thunder and lightning, I guess.

The Court Jester (1955)

Continuity mistake: When Ravenhurst and Princess Gwendolyn keep snapping their fingers, the snapping causes Hawkins to alternately fall under and return from his hypnotized state of mind (as conditioned by Griselda). Hawkins has been hiding behind a closed curtain, and upon each of his flashes of bravery, he opens it, only to be snapped back into hiding. Watch the internal and external shots - he opens the curtain in both of them, as if for the first time upon each occasion.

Hellboy (2004)

Hellboy mistake picture

Continuity mistake: When Hellboy is walking at one point, holding his gun up in his left, gloved hand (just after one of the agents has said "This place is like swiss cheese"), watch the frame. It switches suddenly so his right hand (the stone one) is his left, and he's holding the gun in his "right." (00:59:40)

Blade (1998)

Continuity mistake: When Blade throws the darts full of EDTA into Frost at the end of the movie, they all just sit there in Frost's flesh, not pumping the blue fluid into him (this is especially evident after Blade kicks the final one into Frost's face). This is a blooper in and of itself, because as we saw earlier (as Blade fought two vampire guards and killed them with the same darts), the darts quickly pump the fluid out upon impact. What's more, all the darts are suddenly completely empty in the zoom-out shot of Frost's body bubbling and expanding from the reaction to the EDTA.

Continuity mistake: When Indiana is hiding his face with the cloth, watch as he enters the tent that Marion is being held prisoner in - at first, Indiana has to hold it in place; in the next shot, he has it tucked into the rest of the folds. The next shot, the actual position of the cloth changes.

redbaron2000

Continuity mistake: As Indiana writes "Neolithic" on the blackboard in his classroom at the beginning of the movie, he stops and checks to see if he's spelling it right, then finishes writing it. Later shots of the board reveal the same word on the board, only either the handwriting is different or the actual structure of the word has changed.

Raiders of the Lost Ark mistake picture

Continuity mistake: Just after Indiana (barely) escapes the tumbling boulder at the beginning of the movie, he leaps through a veil of spider webs, only to be held up by the native hunters and Belloq, who takes the idol from Indiana. Watch carefully - there is a thick strand of webs attached to the idol as Indy hands it to Belloq, but they disappear in the next shot as Belloq hefts the idol and holds it up in the air.

Raging Bull (1980)

Continuity mistake: When Joe Pesci has to apologize and shake hands with the guy he got into a fight with, there is one shot of him shaking hands. The very next shot - with no transition whatsoever - shows Joe Pesci holding/playing with what appears to be a matchbook.

The Relic (1997)

Continuity mistake: When the two police dogs, Castor and Pollux, run into the dark tunnels and away from the policemen, one of them, Castor, winds up being killed by the Kothoga. The officer who cared for them, Bradley, goes chasing after Pollux in the dark with his flashlight, and Lieutenant D'Agosta chases after him, with a flashlight of his own. After Bradley finds Pollux, he's talking to him and still using his flashlight, when he gets killed by the Kothoga. However, after D'Agosta gets into that room, there is no flashlight lying on the ground, let alone shining on Pollux - as it fell only moments before.

Continuity mistake: When the scientists find the creature climbing onto the ship at one point, it's night time. It smashes a lamp, then jumps back in the water, swims across the lagoon, then standing up near the water's edge, it grunts and slashes at the spotlight they aim at it, then goes back underwater. Two of the scientists dive in to go after it, and follow it through an underwater (then above-water) cave. When both creature and scientists exit the cave, however, it is not only daytime, but the other scientists are waiting on the shore nearby.

Home Alone 3 (1997)

Continuity mistake: When the police are arriving at the end of the movie (behind the snow ploughs), there is an overhead shot showing sunlight shining onto the street. Every other shot in that exact scene is otherwise grey and cloudy.

Home Alone 3 (1997)

Continuity mistake: When Alex runs into the garage towards the end of the movie, we see sunlight shining in through the window. Wasn't it just grey and snowy outside?

Home Alone 3 (1997)

Continuity mistake: When Alex first takes out the bubble-squirting gun and threatens Olek Krupa's character with it, the muzzle looks like what one might see on a real gun. However, when we get a closeup of it after Alex shouts at Olek Krupa and chases him away, the muzzle has a gaping hole in it, because it's a different bubble-squirting gun.

Mr. Deeds (2002)

Continuity mistake: When Deeds reads a card to everybody in the pizza shop towards the beginning of the movie, his last line, "...even when your bosoms sag down to the floor" causes one of the higher-aged men to cry. However, watch carefully: Deeds reads it, and everyone - including the man - laughs aloud. The very next shot shows him up close and wiping tears from his eyes, a smile being a far cry from on his face.

Continuity mistake: When Elle wakes up in her hotel, she looks out the window. Just a moment before, there was a speed-time shot of the sun rising; however, when she's looking out the window and talking in standard time, the sun's reflection is still moving awful fast.

Blue Streak (1999)

Continuity mistake: At the end of the movie, when Carlson and Hardcastle spoof Miles about busting him, the two cops are on the U.S. side of the border, and Miles is on the Mexican side. In the overhead shot of them as Carlson says "...we can't make it - you're out of our jurisdiction," and he taps the yellow border line with his foot, look carefully at their shadows - all are long and facing the upper right hand corner of the screen. However, in all the frontal shots of Miles as he talks to them and throws a little dance, the shadows on all the buildings and trees behind him (in Mexico) are facing towards his right - in other words, in the opposite direction of the shadows from the overhead shot.

Foul Play (1978)

Continuity mistake: When Scarface is holding Gloria as he asks "Where is it?", watch her arms - from the side, we can see her left arm is arched outward; however, from the view behind Scarface and facing Gloria, her hands are pressed together in front of herself, in a defensive position.
