Character mistake: Captain McCrea tells the passengers that it's the 700th anniversary of the Axiom's first flight. The Axiom has been in flight for 255,642 days. Actually, 700 years is 255,675 days. That figure includes the additional day in 175 leap years.

Wall-E (2008)
Suggested correction: Leap years only occur because of the earth's rotation around the sun. As the AXIOM is in space, there is no need to correct for the earth's rotation.
First, rotation is the spin of the Earth (which cause day and night). Revolution is the earth orbiting the sun (which causes years). However, this correction is not valid on the premise you're trying to present. Many films set in space still use Earth time, so a day is 24-hours, even though they're in space and there is no sunrise and sunset (although it's stated the Axiom operates on a 25-hour day). So they would use Earth's year, which takes 365.256 days. Since the Axiom isn't orbiting the Sun, it wouldn't experience a year, so they're using something else. The fact that they're slightly off suggests it's a writing mistake and there's no evidence they use an arbitrary 365.203 day year.
That's still wrong. Even if their years were strictly 365 days, 700 years would be 255,500 days, not 255,642.

42nd Street (1933)
Character mistake: On the marquee at the Philadelphia theater where the musical "Pretty Lady" will be performed, lights spell out GALA PREMIER. A premier is the ruler of a country. The debut of a musical is a première.
Suggested correction: "Premier" as an adjective means "earliest creation", such as a primer issue or "first in importance or order." In fact, in 1933 "Mickey's Gala Premier" was released. Only as a noun does it mean prime minister or other head of government.

The Parent Trap (1998)
Factual error: Hallie, in London, dials the operator and says she wants to place a collect call to Napa, California. The phone rings once and Annie answers, then begins talking. On such a call, the operator should have told the recipient, "You have a collect call. Will you accept the charges?"

Columbo (1971)
Character mistake: This episode opens with James Ferris typing the final chapter of a mystery novel. He is using all-capital letters, No professional writer would do that.
Suggested correction: It's not meant to be all capital letters, but block letters. Just look at the title card and credits in the opening - they're block letters too.

The Santa Clause 2 (2002)
Other mistake: Charlie spray-paints graffiti on the wall of the gymnasium to protest Principal Newman's refusal to decorate the school for Christmas. We see "Newman" in large letters, an equal sign and a decorated Christmas tree with a big red circle and slash across it. The letters have sharp, smooth edges and the tree and ornaments are highly detailed. It is obvious the graffiti was painted with brushes, not spray paint.

In one scene, Larryella squeezes Shemp's hand while he's holding a tube of black paint. The paint squirts only on his face but in the next shot there are also paint spatters on his smock. When he returns to his easel, the paint on his face and smock has disappeared.
