Continuity mistake: "Rusty Romeos," a 1957 short co-starring Joe Besser, is a remake of "Corny Casanovas," a 1952 short co-starring Shemp Howard. In a scene using stock footage from the earlier film, Moe and Larry are fighting, and a framed photo of Shemp is on a small table next to the couch. In the following scene, using new footage, the photo is of Joe. (00:15:10)
Continuity mistake: In "Violent Is The Word For Curly" (1938), after putting the gas in the radiator of the car, Curly leans on the car and falls asleep. Moe walks up to him appearing to be almost instantly, but at that point the sun angle and shadows have changed quite a bit (indicating at least an hour or more between takes) even though it took place in a matter of a few seconds.
Continuity mistake: In "Disorder In The Court" (1936), Curly is on the witness stand in a courtroom. When he tips his chair and falls backwards, a stunt double is used. The double's hair is much darker. When Moe and Larry rush over to pick him up, he is facing the wall. In the close-up, Curly is now facing forward. (00:05:00)
Continuity mistake: In "Disorder In The Court" (1936), Curly is trying to catch a parrot flying near the jury box. He tries to hit the bird with a mallet but winds up knocking out the six jurors in the front row. Moe drags Curly away, but suddenly the six jurors in the back row also appear to be knocked out.
Continuity mistake: In the episode "Scheming Schemers" (1956), Larry and Moe start to dip their heads towards each other in the sink and suddenly the camera changes to a more central angle and the two start over in dipping their heads towards each other.
Continuity mistake: In "Movie Maniacs" (1936), the Stooges unwittingly run into a lions' den. After they slam the door shut, Larry removes his top hat but in the next shot the hat is back on his head - and he and Curly have switched places. (00:14:46)
Continuity mistake: In "Calling All Curs" (1939), Moe accidentally punches Larry in the face. Larry falls to the floor unconscious but in a later scene he is sitting on the floor with his back against a wall.
Continuity mistake: In "Some More Of Samoa" (1941), the Stooges are on the island of Rhum-Boogie and Curly is wearing a tiger skin. In the final scene, as they hop into their canoe, he's suddenly wearing a leopard skin.

Continuity mistake: In "Shivering Sherlocks" (1948), Moe, Larry and Shemp are working at the Elite Café. A police officer is wearing a badge when he enters but when he sits at the counter, the badge has disappeared.
Continuity mistake: In "False Alarms" (1934) Curly ducks when Moe throws a bucket of water at him and the water lands on the fire captain who is standing behind Curly. In the next shot, the captain's uniform is completely dry.
Continuity mistake: In "Spook Louder" (1943), when Moe is hit in the face with a cream pie, he drops the club he is carrying. In the next shot, he is holding the club and drops it again.
Continuity mistake: In the episode "Oily To Bed, Oily To Rise" (1939), the Stooges pick up the three men who own the car. While arguing about the deed, the Stooges are standing in the back seat area (no-one was driving at this point) and the other three men are sitting in the back seat. After a quick camera change outside of the car, the camera is back on the men and now suddenly the Stooges are in position where the three other men were and vice versa. This was part of the plot so the Stooges can throw them out of the car, but the sudden switching of positions is unrealistic.
Continuity mistake: In "Self-Made Maids," Moe, Larry and Shemp play dual roles, appearing as artists and as three models, Moella, Larryella and Shempella. In one scene, Larryella squeezes Shemp's hand while he's holding a tube of black paint. The paint squirts only on his face but in the next shot there are also paint spatters on his smock. When he returns to his easel, the paint on his face and smock has disappeared.
Continuity mistake: In the episode "Scheming Shemers" (1956), after Moe reaches into his tool bag to get Larry out of the drain, he holds a plunger in his left hand and a wrench in his right hand. The camera suddenly changes angles towards the sink as Moe arrives and now the plunger and wrench are each held now in the opposite hand instantly.
Continuity mistake: In fake Shemp episode "Commotion on the Ocean" (1956), when the Stooges first greet the large villain on the ship, Moe's hat is flat and he wears an ascot. Instantly the shot changes up close and Moe's hat is poofed up and he's now wearing a necktie instead of the ascot. This was a combination of old footage with Shemp, and a new scene filmed with just Moe and Larry (after Shemp's death). (00:03:00)
Continuity mistake: In Malice at the Palace, after the fruit is wiped away from the guard's face, he turns to look at Moe. After a quick cut, the man repeats looking at Moe.
Continuity mistake: In "Malice in the Palace", the big guard menaces Shemp until Shemp starts flinging fruit with a sword. Before the first piece of fruit hits the man's face, his face was clean, then there's remnants on his face, suggesting multiple takes.
Continuity mistake: In the episode "Malice in the Palace", Larry drops a hot dog after plating them, and never notices. After setting the cat up with a hot dog, the one on the floor, along with the small amount of water, has disappeared.
