The Dark Knight (2008)

Corrected entry: When Batman is using his sonar technology in the unfinished building near the end of the movie, the Joker's black eye make-up shows up on the image. However, it shouldn't, as there is no reason for this make-up to resonate differently than the paint on the rest of his face.

Correction: Without knowing what each type of make-up he uses is made of, there is no way we can be sure how each would resonate.

Bruce Almighty (2003)

Corrected entry: In the scene where Bruce is training the dog that the house is not a bathroom and outside is, he goes between the words bathroom and house turning back and forth to each one. During the rant, he says "bathroom" while facing the house and "house" while facing the tree outside.

Correction: At best that would be a character mistake. But it most likely was done to show the confused state Bruce was in.

Hancock (2008)

Corrected entry: Hancock is all bulletproof, of course. But that shouldn't make his new, black superhero suit prepared by his PR manager bulletproof, too. When he is going into the war-zone in the bank robbery sequence, you can see the bullets bouncing off his suit, making no hole whatsoever. However, we know that his superpowers do not extend to his clothes, evidenced by his sunglasses being broken by bullets, and all his clothes burnt off due to a fire.

Correction: We do not know what the suit is made of. It could be kevlar which would make it bullet proof.

But his suit doesn't even scratch or scar. Even Kevlar scratches and dents. There should be some kind of mark on it.

Coneheads (1993)

Corrected entry: Yes, it's a silly sci-fi comedy, but why have none of the human characters shown any concern as to the shape of the central characters heads? They are obviously not human.

Correction: That is addressed in the movie. The Coneheads say that they are from France. That is supposed to make people believe they are human.

Batman Begins (2005)

Corrected entry: The officer who has been promoted to Liuetenant at the end of the film was wearing silver bars on his uniform at the beginning of the movie, signifying the position of Liuetenant.

Correction: Without knowing just what the Gotham City police force uses for rank insignia there is no way of knowing whether this is a mistake or not. For example the US Navy uses a different insignia for than The Army or Marines.

Aladdin (1992)

Corrected entry: In the scene where Aladdin is escaping from the cave in the magic carpet, he doesn't lose his hat in any moment, despite its being a frenetic, very fast and roller coaster-esque escape. It should have fallen off at some point.

Correction: Without knowing how tightly his hat fit you cannot call this a mistake.

Corrected entry: If New York City has lost power, the cell phone towers are inoperable. Therefore, cell phones will not work. This very problem happens all over the country when there is a power failure. There is not always another tower close enough to pick up your signal.

Correction: Most if not all cell phone towers have emergency generators. While they would not provide power indefinitely, depending on their fuel, they could keep the tower operational for anywhere from a couple of hours to a few days.

Corrected entry: George lands in a pile of oak leaves during one scene at his house, but oak trees wouldn't be found in the jungle.

Correction: This movie is not even remotely based in fact. While it is true that you would not find oak trees in the jungle, you would not find talking apes or elephants who fetch either.

Crusade - S4-E1

Corrected entry: When Lana is in the shower, you can see steam billowing up around her just as she turns it on. Water can't get that hot, that fast.

Correction: For some time now there has been available "point of use" water heaters, also called "tankless water heaters". If these are installed near the shower you will get hot water immediately.

Corrected entry: In his log entry at the beginning of the movie, Captain Sulu mentions that he has been commanding the Excelsior for three years on a mission in Beta Quadrant. In the next scene, as they walk into the briefing at Starfleet Command, McCoy asks where Sulu is. Kirk has to remind him that Sulu is now a captain, and on assignment. It seems odd that McCoy wouldn't have known that, or that he would have expected Sulu at a briefing taking place very far away from the location of Sulu's mission.

Correction: In any large organization not everyone knows where everyone else is at all time. Kirk's reminder may have been a way of saying that a captain is not always able to be where he would like to be. He may have orders to be elsewhere.

Corrected entry: When the DSRV docks to the Red October, the crew let the October know they are docked by hitting the hatch with a hammer. However, the hammer used is a normal wood and steel hammer, the kind you could buy in any hardware store. Hammers, indeed, all tools on board submarines, are coated with a thin layer of plastic so as to minimize the amount of sound they make if they get banged around.

Correction: Not true. I had a friend stationed on the very DSRV used in the movie, and I have been in it myself. Since this type of vehicle is used for rescue the hammer is not coated. They want to make noise.
