The Magician (1973)

The Garden of Evil Affair - S1-E8

Deliberate mistake: The bad guys chase Mark through a movie studio backlot past a London bus with a large red "Out of Service" sign on its side. During the ensuing shoot-out scene, the film is reversed for some reason, and the sign on the bus is suddenly backwards. (00:24:20)

Hawaii Five-O (1968)

Season 9 generally

Deliberate mistake: 9-12 "The Bells Toll at Noon": When McGarrett picks up Danny and drives away in his Mercury Grand Marquis, the rear view mirror is missing, probably removed to prevent it from blocking the actors' faces. It reappears later on. (00:33:00)

Hawaii Five-O (1968)

Show generally

Deliberate mistake: Throughout series: Five-O was said to be Hawaii's state police force, and was shown headquartered in the Iolani Palace. For decades, tourists were disappointed to learn that in reality, Hawaii had no state police, and that the palace was a state museum, not a state police station.

Turn Back the Clock - S1-E7

Deliberate mistake: Several of the roaming dinosaur segments here are repeated 2-3 times over. They're all recycled footage from producer Irwin Allen's own 1960 remake of "The Lost World," and Allen must have wanted to get as much use out of the dino shots as possible. (00:28:00)

Show generally

Deliberate mistake: "The X-Factor": Car-wreck stock footage turns the admiral's 1965 sedan into a much shorter, fatter 1950s model when it bursts into flames and rolls down the embankment. (00:26:00)

Show generally

Deliberate mistake: "The X-Factor": When the helicopter is chasing Nelson's car, re-used footage from a first season show briefly turns the otherwise color episode black and white. (00:24:00)

Doomsday - S1-E19

Deliberate mistake: The huge system and missile control boards containing the failsafe units suddenly appear on Seaview's bulkheads just for this episode. And of course, they disappear after this, never to be seen again. (00:15:00)

Long Live the King - S1-E15

Deliberate mistake: The Seaview's 8 huge picture windows were a concession to design over practicality. Though they knew that such big windows could never withstand deep sea pressures, the producers wanted the characters - and the audience - to be able to see all the underwater wonders "up close." The "impossible" windows became one of the show's most popular features. (00:25:10)

The Pieces of Fate Affair - S3-E23

Deliberate mistake: Because lawyers for real-life review columnist Judith Merrill were not amused by the parody of her and sued, the name Judith Merle is very obviously dubbed over throughout the episode (and changed in the credits) to Jody Moore. (00:32:50)

Show generally

Deliberate mistake: "The Creature's Revenge" (Adventure 3, Part 5): The 2-inch heels on Sapphire's bright blue boots disappear and reappear repeatedly. They're most often missing in the scenes she appears in with Steel, presumably so that her height won't exceed his. (00:15:15)

Monk (2002)

Mr. Monk Gets Married - S2-E15

Deliberate mistake: Joshua Skinner hid a fortune in gold by melting it down, mixing it with ink and writing it into 947 journals. Monk's producer concedes that in real life, 947 journals would probably hold "only about $11 worth" of gold-laced ink. But the idea was so amusing that he couldn't resist using it anyway. (00:42:00)

Blake's 7 (1978)

Power - S4-E2

Deliberate mistake: Because Paul Darrow had turned an ankle while shooting the fight scene with Gunsar, the uninjured Avon is inexplicably limping throughout most of the fight. (00:14:00)

UFO (1970)

Conflict - S1-E4

Deliberate mistake: For reasons unknown and unexplainable, the otherwise spacious and well-equipped Moonbase has halls and doorways too short for the average human to fit through without ducking. (00:20:00)

Blake's 7 (1978)

Redemption - S2-E1

Deliberate mistake: In the escape scene near the end, an explosive charge that went off too soon knocked Paul Darrow over - and briefly out of the shot. Because he was able to get back up and keep running, the accident was left in, though he's said it was fortunate there was no microphone on him at the time, as he uttered a few words that were "definitely not rated PG." Star Trek (1966)

Friday's Child - S2-E11

Deliberate mistake: When the decoyed Enterprise heads back to Capella, the special effects shot is reversed to indicate that it's going back in the other direction. Unfortunately, this gives us two brief shots of the ship with the registration numbers backwards. (00:37:40)

Forever Knight (1992)

Fever - S3-E13

Deliberate mistake: At the end, a line apparently cut earlier creates slight confusion. Nick says to Nat, "When LaCroix asked you why?" (why save vampires). In the earlier scene as shown, the elusive LaCroix spoke only briefly to Nat in the lab, and never asked her that question. (00:42:20)
