Question: How did the creature get the vanity plates "BEATNGU?" Sure it's creepy, but can you imagine that thing standing in line at the DMV?
Answer: You can purchase vanity plates by mail, or it stole the truck.
Answer: The Creeper possibly has some skill in metalworks. Perhaps it created this custom plate as a mocking or darkly humorous touch to his truck. This is the explanation offered in the Creeper's bio page on Villains Wiki.
Answer: Considering that the entire story is pure supernatural fantasy, anything is possible.

The Matrix Revolutions (2003)
Question: Was Neo ever really The One? In the first film, Morpheus stated that the prophecy said The One would destroy the Matrix, and and all humans would be free; but Neo never destroyed the Matrix. So was he The One, and changed 'fate'; or was he not the true One, but just really powerful?
Answer: Neo was the One. Prophecy is not always 100% correct on all the details. And he did destroy the illusion of the Matrix and granted freedom to those who desired it. So he did end up fulfilling the prophecy in a way. It's much like Anakin Skywalker bringing "balance to the force" by annhilating the Jedi and allowing a new order to spring forth. Not exactly what you would expect.

A Few Good Men (1992)
Question: What exactly is a Code Red?
Answer: It's something done to one trooper in a unit who is not pulling his load, to let him know his teammates are tired of him making them look bad. It can range from a beating after lights out to scrubbing a soldier who won't shower with toilet brushes and Comet. (And yes, both of those are from my own military experience, though I wasn't the victim!) It's meant to give a warning and doesn't normally harm anything but the victim's pride. They are strongly against regulations in the past year or two as several soldiers were injured by their unit getting overzealous, just like in the movie.

Question: I noticed Ripley has one normal eye and one red eye in the early parts of the movie, what type of injury is that generally indicative of and what causes it?
Answer: Busted blood vessel in the eye. It can be caused by several different things, stress, impact, etc. It's painless and heals in a couple of weeks. In Alien the first host was seen with one blood shot eye, the same as Ripley. Gives a hint early on that she could be infected.

Question: I've seen this movie several times, but could someone tell me if the alien or Riddick killed Fry?
Answer: The alien did it. Riddick is just starting to change a little bit, but he is pretty upset by her death nonetheless.

Answer: You could tape VCR-VCR and edit out the courtroom scenes. You just aren't going to find a DVD or VHS of any musical with only a few scenes removed to keep dance numbers in one piece.

Question: Several times in the movie, you see a solider bang a magazine against his helment as he reloads. Why do they do this?
Answer: It's to make sure all the rounds are properly seated in the magazine, and to remove sand/dirt, greatly reducing the chances of jamming an M-16.

Question: What is parfey, which is supposedly the most delicious thing on the whole damn planet?
Answer: It's parfait. It's a cold dessert made of layers of fruit, ice cream, flavored syrup,sometimes cake and whipped cream. While I wouldn't call it the most delicious thing on the whole damn planet, they are pretty darn good.
Actually, that's the American version. Originally it was a French dish made with cream, eggs, sugar and syrup to create puree.

The Hunt for Red October (1990)
Question: During the ending sequence (with the Alpha) the Red October is running on the screws instead of the caterpillar. Now, we know the "reactor leak" was fake...and we know that the caterpillar was working normally (right after Ramius says "let us turn South" you see the Red October dive over a canyon wall with the screws not moving hence the caterpillar running). Wouldn't it have been wiser to run on the caterpillar during the ending?
Answer: The caterpillar drive was inoperable. The reactor leak was staged by the defecting officers, but the sabotage to the caterpillar (by the undercover KGB agent posing as the cook) was real.
Chosen answer: No, (mentioned in the book, not the film), the caterpillar can only drive Red October at a little over 1/2 her top speed. Speed is far more important than silence at this point.
Answer: The caterpillar was repaired but later after the crew exited screws were on and caterpillar was operation. The Russian fleet was still on there tail you still should be on silent drive. Movie shows them running on normal propulsion. Possible movie boo boo. Makes no sense.
The Caterpillar is not silent, it just does not sound like a sub. This is how the Dallas was able to track Red October even when it was running on the caterpillar. The Dallas just need to know what it sounded like. Presumably The Alpha knows what to listen for so speed would be important.

X-Men 2 (2003)
Question: I am confused as to the time difference between X-Men and X2. I heard it is 3 weeks and it was 3 years. Some say its 3 years because of Cyclops' new car, but then I realize that it doesn't take Logan 3 years to reach Alkali Lake. So, what is the time difference?
Answer: 3 weeks would be more than enough time to get to Canada and back. Further, we never know for sure if Cyclops had 2 or more cars to start with. Also, as Rogue is only 17-18, she would have changed dramatically in 3 years. 3 weeks, or a similar relatively short period of time, is far more likely.
Answer: I've been wondering that too. 3 weeks definitely makes more sense to me, but that actually made me think of another question. Since the first movie came out in 2000 and the second in 2003, it made me wonder what year it is. I suppose either are possible.

Question: I can understand why they would use code when talking about positions, objectives, etc. but when they call in the air strike from the battleships, what's the point of using code? Also, later in the film, when the same situation arises, they don't use the code. Seemed like it was just a silly way to introduce the whole premise for the movie.
Answer: The point of using the Navajo code to call in air strikes was to encrypt what the Marines were requesting without the Japanese being able to decipher what was said. This is critical because during the Battle of Saipan, the Japanese made extensive use of caves and reinforced earthworks to support their artillery positions and machine gun nests. The delay between requesting artillery support and the act of carrying it out allowed the Japanese to withdraw their infantry to relative safety before the fire mission could commence. By using PVT Yahzee and PVT Whitehouse, they were able to circumvent this and request attacks without the Japanese knowing what was coming. The only time Yahzee does not use the code is when he uses the Japanese radio to call off the artillery strikes that were falling short and hitting Marines. This situation required immediate attention and it would not have been appropriate to use the code.
Answer: They used the code to call in the strike so the Germans couldn't get the U.S. to bomb their own troops. I don't know why it wasn't used in the other situation.

Answer: She was referring to his "15 minutes of fame." This refers to a quote by Andy Warhol who said in the future, everyone would be famous for 15 minutes.

Question: Since Snake knew that X-rays would neutralize the pellets in his neck, couldn't he have asked brain about medical facilities within New York so he can neutralize them himself?
Chosen answer: Yes, but A. finding a working one is very unlikely, B. it would need a power source, also very difficult, C. Snake had no way of knowing if x-rays of a different frequency would work or set them off, and D. if he does disarm them, it's already been proven that New York is escape proof, so where would he go?
Answer: To be honest, why not extend this question further? The doctor explains to Snake that X-rays will neutralise the cores 15 minutes before they go off. Snake could fly the Gullfire to Canada and he would have about 20 hours to find a place (such as a hospital) that would have an X-ray machine. The frequency range of X-rays is so small that you could easily change frequencies within the 15 minutes. Additionally, we all believe what Halk says. Perhaps it was all a con to get Snake to help him (like the Plutoxin virus).

Question: At the end when Jean is holding the water back and controlling the x-jet, the power comes back on and the x-men escape leaving Jean to die, but could she do the same if she was in the x-jet? It could have saved her life.
Answer: She could have, but she had to die to come back as the Phoenix/Dark Phoenix in X3. Plot trapdoor.

Question: Maybe a dumb question. But what exact kind of Apocalypse happens in the movie that causes all of these problems? Shortage of gas is one of them. But was it nuclear war or what? What would cause the port of Sydney Australia to dry up like it was shown in the 3rd movie? Did the whole sea dry up?
Chosen answer: It was nuclear war. Tectonic plate movement could make ports dry and flood others. None of the movies ever goes into great detail about the apocalypse.

Answer: Lee Harvey Oswald was very sympathetic to the communist ideal, and lived in Russia for a while. He probably adopted the accent as an affectation towards that end.
