The Island (2005)

Corrected entry: Why on earth does the facility have such an elaborate method of anaesthetising the clones before removing their organs? This would involve huge expense and require skilled medical staff and waste a lot of time. Why not just shoot them in the head and be done with it? There is no risk to the bodily organs - organs from executed Chinese prisoners (who are shot to death) are routinely transplanted, and in fact anaesthetic gases can cause liver damage - too bad if you are waiting for a transplanted liver, like Lincoln.

Correction: It's possible that in ten to fifteen years, anesthetics have been created that allow for no tissue damage. It's also possible that in that timeframe, they discovered that the organs do better when removed from a living body. Given that it takes place in a time we don't have access to, creative license can be taken.

Corrected entry: Emily says that "the book" is a mockup of the current issue, which makes no sense. The book should be a mockup of a future issue.

Correction: The current issue in that context means the one they are currently working on, not the one currently on stands.

Friends (1994)

Show generally

Corrected entry: Throughout the series, the central perk sign in the coffee shop reads the correct way round when they're inside the coffee shop, but in scenes outside the coffe shop the sign still reads the correct way.

Correction: It's supposed to. It's painted on both sides of the window. The logo is thick enough that you don't see through it.

Monsters, Inc. (2001)

Corrected entry: When Mike is in Harry Hausen's with Celia there is no menu on the table, then Sully appears and a menu is in front of them. (00:25:25)

T1969

Correction: Sully brings the menu with him and slides it onto the table as he sits down. You can see it in his hand just before he reaches the table.

Corrected entry: When Jack Sparrow is falling down in between the cliffs attached to his pole on Cannibal Island, there is a shot that shows the pole getting wedged. Tied to a rope that is tied to the poll, the force of stopping makes the rope around him quickly unravel. It shows a wide shot where Jack is unwinding about 5 feet below the pole, but then it cuts to a close shot and he is only a couple feet from the pole. Then it cuts back to the wide shot and he's back to 5 feet.

Correction: It cuts to a shot from above, which changes perspective. He's still the same amount away, he just appears closer with the pole at a different angle.

Happenstance - S7-E8

Corrected entry: When they run fingerprints on the envelope from "Dora" they put the fingerprints from the left side and the right side of the envelope together to make one print from two partials but this would be impossible as one partial would be from the right thumb and one partial would be from the left thumb by the way the envelope is held.

Correction: If it had been held that way, sure. But there's nothing that says it was. It's possible the daughter held it with her left thumb in two different places, leaving two partials.

Dumb and Dumber (1994)

Corrected entry: While Harry is walking up the stairs of the ski lodge he turns around when the female undercover agent asks why he never called her. However, she never gave him more than the first three digits of her phone number at the gas station because he lit himself on fire.

Correction: Already submitted and corrected.

Hocus Pocus (1993)

Corrected entry: Max just moved to Salem and all throughout his house we are shown stacks of cardboard boxes, indicating that this is the case as well. One problem: Max's room has no boxes whatsoever, and is completely unpacked, yet he was attending school, and would have had the least amount of time to unpack of the whole family, not to mention he is the only member of the family who is against moving there.

Jazetopher

Correction: It's an assumption that he wouldn't unpack for himself, or that his mother wouldn't do his room first to try to get him to feel more comfortable. I've gotten my bedroom set up in a day for a place I was entirely against moving to, so that I had my familiar items around me.

The Island (2005)

Corrected entry: When Scarlett's character gets taken back into the institute, she is apprehended by a government trained team, then put on a table for surgery, yet somehow she has managed to keep a gun concealed in her pants. How could that gun have gone so far unnoticed?

Correction: She was brought in by the bounty hunter, and the security at the compound likely just assumed he had searched her. Since the bounty hunter had already seen the mark on her wrist before turning her over, he was probably in on the overthrow plan. She's not on a table for surgery, just put there until they can prep her, which is obvious by the fact that she's still fully clothed.

Blade: Trinity (2004)

Corrected entry: When Dracula turns up at the hide out he is disguised as Whistler (has taken his form). How does he know what Whistler looks like when he died before Dracula appeared and he therefore never saw Whistler, surely Dracula must see the person before he can take their form?

George Colvan

Correction: Not "surely." It's never said if he has to see a person before taking their form. However, finding pictures of Whistler wouldn't have been difficult for Danika and her gang.

Corrected entry: The typewriter Jake is typing on near the end of the movie is a small IBM Selectric, a different model than the one seen earlier in the film.

Correction: He's had plenty of time to purchase a new typewriter to complete his manuscript.

Down With Love (2003)

Corrected entry: Near the end of the movie Ewan is rejected, leaves Renee and then goes to the elevator. He pushes the down arrow. When the doors open, Renee is standing there. Not only is it impossible for her to get to the elevator in the time that Ewan approaches, but she would need to go down or up a floor, then run to the elevator AND click a button to get it and so on. My point is that it's impossible. Plus, they end up going to the roof when Ewan pushed the up one.

Correction: Again, one point of the movie is to keep the 60's feel, which includes such "slapstick" impossibilities as her showing up in the elevator. And they should go to the roof if he pushed the "up" button for the elevator - the roof is up. Him first pushing the "down" arrow is negated by the elevator first going up according to Barbara's direction.

Down With Love (2003)

Corrected entry: In the scene where Barbara Novak is walking to the elevator after having caught Catcher with another woman, he chases after her. When you first see him he doesn't have the woman's grey hat on his crotch area, also not when he slides to catch the elevator door. Yet, in the shot where she says "and yet her hat's off to you anyway" he has the hat on his crotch area.

Correction: When he runs out the bedroom door, you can see the hat against his zipper. It's almost the same color as his trousers, which makes it difficult to distinguish as he's running, but the outline of it under his crotch is very clear. As he reaches the elevator, you can make out the wrinkles in the hat against his pants.

Corrected entry: When Scarlett is dressing for the barbecue, she's not wearing a coral necklace. When she's hurrying to get ready before her father counts to ten, there is no time for Scarlett to get a piece of jewellery. But Scarlett is wearing the necklace when she's undressing for her nap at Twelve Oaks. (00:17:55)

Correction: It's possible that Mamie grabbed it on the way out, or that the girls' jewelry was waiting in the carriage. Scarlett has plenty of time to put on the necklace between leaving her room and arriving at Twelve Oaks.

CocoCami

Corrected entry: When George (Steve Martin) is "losing it" in the grocery store he removes 4 hot dog buns from 3 packages. The manager is upset and tells George he has to pay for those 4 buns. Does it really matter if he takes 4 buns out? No. I'm sure if the hot dog bun packages were rung up it would show the regular price regardless off how many buns are in the package. We can assume that if George made it to the check out stand he would have made a ruckus there too.

Frank Scialdone

Correction: It's not a plot hole. Whether or not it matters isn't the point. The point is that George is having a breakdown. And he's leaving the buns on the shelf, which WOULD be a problem for the manager, regardless of whether the package rang up at full price or not.

The Skeleton Key (2005)

Corrected entry: In the scene where Caroline is washing Ben in the bath, she drops the soap and gets water in her eye; when she puts the sponge down it falls into the water, yet she retrieves it from the soap tray. (00:48:00 - 00:48:30)

Correction: Previously submitted and corrected.

Moulin Rouge (2001)

Corrected entry: In the scene where Christian, Satine, and the dancers are rehearsing "Come What May" Christian's outfit changes several different times. In one shot he is wearing a jacket and in the next shot he is wearing suspenders without a jacket. This changes several times right before he starts to sing with the dancers in that scene.

Correction: It's not one rehearsal - it's a montage showing several rehearsals.

CocoCami

Corrected entry: When the glass in the greenhouse ceiling breaks, showering Marlene with the shards, she bends forward, covering her head. When they show her dead in a later shot, she is on her back, with cuts and blood all over her face and neck.

elleemann

Correction: She falls forward, but it's possible that as she falls she twists. Or that she isn't dead when she hits the ground, and tries to roll over. Also, the glass is still falling around her, as are plants, so she could easily have gotten cuts after she's on the ground.
