Question: When the team is given leave and Sam doesn't want to join Jack on his fishing trip, Jack says to Teal'c it will be just "you and me." Then as he's leaving he says "The loons. Don't forget the loons." What is he talking about? What is "loons" meant to be slang for?

Question: How did Hank's wife Janet survive all those years in the quantum realm?
Answer: Hank asks Janet a question about the energy from her hands, and she hints that the quantum realm changes you: not just adaptation but evolution (or mutation!) which gave her certain abilities which may have helped her survive. It's also hinted that she was involved with/accepted into a civilization which existed in the quantum realm and you see a city in the distance as they depart.

Question: How did Julia get kidnapped?
Answer: As soon as Davian escaped, Hunt realised Julia could be in danger and tried to call her cellphone. When she didn't answer he called their house, and her brother told Ethan "some English guy" was looking for him and he had told him the hospital where Julia worked. Posing as a paramedic, the English guy found Julia at the hospital and put a sedative patch on her arm, then smuggled her out on a gurney covered with a sheet - he is walking out as Ethan runs into the hospital.
Sedative patch? Where would the English guy get the sedative patch?
He's a kidnapper. They have related gear.

Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015)
Question: When Wanda uses her powers on Tony, he sees his friends lying dead on the ground. Later, Tony says that what he saw was something that was actually going to happen? Why would Tony believe that the deaths of the other Avengers is something that would actually come true? Wanda was very good at messing with his mind so, she could have made him believe that their deaths would occur.
Answer: What Wanda did was to amplify Tony's existing anxiety about failing to protect his friends and the world. He was probably already having dreams and thoughts to that effect before encountering Wanda - when she used her powers on him, the resulting vision was so vivid, but in keeping with his previous fears, that Tony was convinced it was an actual premonition of the future.

Question: After they find the body in Asher's apartment, and the cops are securing the scene, Paquette says, "lab results for Acosta's DNA came in...he's clean" How did his DNA clear? It came back as James Acosta?
Answer: As "Costa" was initially a suspect, the police took a DNA sample, which did not match any DNA on file - that was what they meant by "he's clean." It basically means that Asher was very careful at not leaving DNA evidence (other than that of others like Hart to frame them). Presumably the real Costa had no DNA profile linked to his identity on file either, or it could have returned a mismatch and revealed Asher's deception.

I thought that when one vampire dies, all the vampires that were turned by them died too. That's why Viktor never killed Marcus. Is there something I'm missing?

Question: How did Hendricks know Ethan and the IMF team were in the Kremlin that day?
Answer: Ethan's briefing said that IMF had "learnt" that Cobalt was en route to the Kremlin to destroy his identity records in the archives, at a specific time right down to the minute. As having IMF present to frame for the bombing was part of his plan, it is likely Hendricks leaked his own intentions to IMF knowing they would send a team to retrieve the records. After Ethan has his ID scanned, Hendricks turns and walks away like he was waiting for them to arrive, and may have scanned their frequency.

That Hope Is You, Part 2 - S3-E13
Question: At the very end of the episode, why does the Discovery warp instead of using the spore drive? Dilithium is still in short supply, everyone's desperate for it, seems daft to warp places which takes time, rather than jumping directly from place to place.
Chosen answer: Discovery had plenty of dilithium from before the Burn, and the implication seems to be that the dilithium planet in the Verubin Nebula has essentially ended the galaxy's shortage, although it will take time to mine and distribute it. That said, I suspect the reason Discovery warps at this point is to test out its new warp drive system, replacing the warp core which was ejected inside the Viridian.

Question: For viewers who haven't read previous novels or watched many other Star Wars shows, who is Grand Admiral Thrawn and what is Tano's connection to him?
Answer: In (non-canon) Legends, Thrawn was the central character of a trilogy of novels by Timothy Zahn. He was a Chiss officer in the Imperial Navy, who rose to the rank of grand admiral despite being non-human. Thrawn was brought into canon in the Star Wars Rebels series, where he commanded the Empire's Seventh Fleet and led the occupation of Lothal, which was opposed by the series' protagonists including Ahsoka Tano. In the final episode of Rebels, the Jedi and Rebel Ezra Bridger commands Purrgil space whales to drag Thrawn's Star Destroyer into hyperspace, jumping to an unknown location with himself and Thrawn on board. The final scene of the series shows Ahsoka Tano and Sabine Wren leaving Lothal to search for Bridger, and presumably Thrawn.

Doctor Who (1963)
Question: I wanted to know what was the name of the episode where these cancerous creatures suck the bones out of you and turn you into a pile of mush - it was one of the first episodes I think.
Answer: Your right it is, "Island of Terror."
Answer: I don't think this was a Doctor Who story. It sounds more like the 1966 film "Island of Terror" (although it did star Peter Cushing who played Dr Who in two Dalek movies around the same time).

Question: Rebecca tells Carla that "bitter little East Coast jokes" can't bother her today. What is an "East Coast joke"?
Answer: Rebecca is from Los Angeles originally, and has just spent several days on the U.S. west coast on the private jet of wealthy businessman Robin Colcord, shopping and having a makeover in Beverly Hills. She is implying that Carla is making jokes about her because as an "East Coaster" (Carla is from Rhode Island and lives in Boston), Carla is bitter and jealous over how glamorous "West Coasters" like Rebecca are.

Answer: He's referring to the common loon, a type of bird which are commonly found in fishing areas. Jack wants to go fishing in northern Minnesota where the loon is common and is actually the state bird.
