The Homer of Seville - S19-E2

Character mistake: Before their first performance, the director of "La Boheme" wishes Homer good luck. To anyone in professional theatre, doing so is the cardinal sin of theatrical superstition and is never done; the appropriate phrase is "break a leg."

Two Bad Neighbors - S7-E13

Trivia: When the episode was written, the show's writers were unaware there was a real George Bush, Jr (e.g. George W. Bush). The intended joke was that, in one of his usual moments of idiocy, Homer had invented a fake son.

Homer the Moe - S13-E3

Homer: Hello?
Bart: Uh, yeah, I'd like to speak to a Mr. Tabooger, first name Ollie.
Homer: Ooh, Bart, my first prank call! What do I do?
Bart: Just ask if anyone knows Ollie Tabooger.
Homer: I don't get it.
Bart: Yell out "I'll eat a booger."
Homer: What's the gag?
Bart: Oh, forget it.

Trivia: Although Marge's sisters, Patty and Selma, are identical in appearance, there is an easy way to distinguish the two: Selma has an "M" in her name, and her hair is parted in the shape of that letter.

I Don't Wanna Know Why the Caged Bird Sings - S19-E4

Factual error: During Dwight's attempted bank robbery, he gets hit with a couple of dye packs, then appears a few shots later totally clean. The dye packs banks use are notoriously difficult to wash off once they're triggered; even if Dwight did manage to clean himself up, there would still be remnants of dye on him.

Cape Feare - S5-E2

Trivia: The gag of Sideshow Bob stepping on the rakes was only supposed to be him stepping on a single rake one time. But the episode's running time was short, so the sequence was extended as a time filler.

Trivia: The Simpson family appeared in the Tracey Ullman Show as crudely drawn cartoons. Matt Groening had submitted basic sketches to the animators and assumed they would clean the figures up during production, but instead the animators just re-traced Groening's drawings.
