Continuity mistake: Bartman Begins: Whilst Bart is reading the Simpsons a Game manual, when the camera is facing the main road, there is a blue apartment building visible in the far background. When Homer appears in the scene seconds later, the same background is visible, but the apartment building is no longer there.
Continuity mistake: Bartman Begins: When Homer sees Bart in his Bartman outfit, in the shot where Homer says "If you think on coming home like that, don't bother", Homer is standing beside a wall of a building. The shot cuts and Homer is suddenly standing in the middle of the road, with no such building in sight.
Continuity mistake: Around the World in 80 Bites: Before the race is about to start, as Comic Book Guy says "With great hunger comes great responsibility", Homer and Comic Book Guy are standing beside each other. Shot cuts, and the school bus driver, Otto has suddenly appeared in between Homer and Comic Book Guy.
Continuity mistake: The Land of Chocolate: When Homer has chocolate balls dropped onto his hands, check out the arrow pointing to Fudgetown behind him. Behind the sign are three lollipops sticking out of the ground, most likely to be flowers. In the next shot, the lollipops are suddenly in front of the sign. The size of the lollipops also change.
Continuity mistake: The Land of Chocolate: At the start of the dream, Homer is standing under a "Land of Chocolate" sign. Three chocolate rabbits hop by Homer, and Homer begins hopping with them. The chocolate rabbits have a light chocolate colour as they hop by, but by the following shot, their skin has become a lot darker.
Continuity mistake: The Land of Chocolate: The chocolate rabbits who hop with Homer have pink eyes in one shot, but regular human-like eyes in the next.
Other mistake: Bartman Begins: Homer and Bart are in a dinosaur exhibit, trying to get Bart to fly off the dinosaur skeleton to the other side, whilst also fighting off some guards, and the exhibit continues through the next room where they are stopping Dolph. In these parts of the level, night time is visible outside of the windows - it is supposed to be day time during this level.
Revealing mistake: The Land of Chocolate: When Homer wakes up from his dream, their is a wrapper on his shirt from one of the Hershel's Smoochies chocolates. The wrapper looks nowhere near convincing and is just a poorly animated squiggle - the wrapper on his shirt is supposed to be scrunched up, but it is drawn as a 2D shape and is animated onto his shirt.
Continuity mistake: Bartman Begins: Bart exits the video game store with the Grand Theft Scratchy game. When he is saying that teenagers are so dumb, the front cover of the game is facing away from Bart. Marge then appears and takes the game off him - the front cover is suddenly facing Bart.
Bug: Game Over: When battling God, several dead people charge after you and you have to jump onto each of the arrow keys that the dead people walk onto in order to electrocute them. Sometimes during this (mostly during round 3), if you jump onto the arrow key the dead person runs onto, the arrow key may not electrocute the dead person running onto it.
Other mistake: Game Over: When Homer and Bart are battling Shakespeare, if the player transforms into Homer Ball and Shakespeare starts throwing skulls, the skulls will go straight through Homer.
Deliberate mistake: Five Characters In Search Of An Author: Various times throughout this level, Matt Groening draws on some paper and some cartoons come to life. Whenever this happens, he only draws on one piece of paper, yet several pieces of are shown with cartoons on them.
Continuity mistake: Five Characters In Search Of An Author: When the Simpsons enter the gate to go to Matt Groening's mansion, the mansion is shown to be almost a few miles behind the gate. Later as the intro clip starts and Homer and Bart have reached the mansion, the key card gate is only a few yards in the background. Then as the level starts, there is now a gate to the mansion in the background and the gate that requires key cards is now way behind the gate to the mansion.
Continuity mistake: Five Characters In Search Of An Author: Whenever you approach the golden gate in the Game Engine game play, the four slots to place the key card in are the same colour. When the Simpsons and poorly rendered Simpsons approach the gate at the start of the level, the four key card slots all match each colour of the key card and not the gate itself.
Plot hole: Whilst you are in the Game Engine, Homer may say at one point, "Turtle bride, why didn't I think about that?" This is a clear reference to Professor Frink's turtle bride we met earlier in Enter The Cheatrix. The main problem with this quote is that Homer didn't even know about Professor Frink's turtle bride. It was only Bart and Lisa who even knew about the turtle bride as they rescued Frink and only them who rescued Frink in Enter The Cheatrix and met the turtle bride soon after. And although, Frink was in that large box in the theatre, the only thing he ever did was to give Homer and Lisa a power upgrade. Plus, the turtle bride was never visible in the theatre and Bart and Lisa never mentioned this to him.
Continuity mistake: Medal of Homer: When Homer, Bart and Abe return to the village after stopping Burns, they exit the van with the door left open. Very next shot, the door is closed.
Continuity mistake: Medal of Homer: When Homer, Bart, Abe and Burns discuss the plan, they are all standing next to each other. Burns suggests that he and Abe get the paintings, and we can see the other three aren't visible around him at all anymore. Abe then replies and the other three still aren't visible at all. Then in the next shot, the four are suddenly all next to each other again.
Continuity mistake: Medal of Homer: At the start of the level, Homer and Bart have to run up to Uter. As soon as the cut scene starts, Homer and Bart are suddenly back to where they started.
Bug: Medal of Homer: After Homer runs out of the mill exit, the huge spinning wheel is shown. If Homer jumps onto it, you will end up stuck floating one metre above the spinning wheel in the air.
Continuity mistake: Medal of Homer: As soon as you will start to have to walk over to Uter. A cut scene plays where he throws a rock into one of the windows and the French citizens put up surrender flags in their windows. However, as you walk over to Uter before the cut scene, you can see the houses already have a flag in their window.
