Continuity mistake: On the bridge as Jack Wilder's car wrecks and blows up in flames it is resting against the center divider of the four lanes. In the next shot, from an above angle, most likely a helicopter, the car is visibly burning on the outside lane of the bridge away from the center divider.
Continuity mistake: When the Horsemen show each other their tarot cards, Daniel states that he is The Lover and Henley jokingly coughs "Three minutes" and Merritt states that he is The Hermit. Merritt is then shown turning his head to Henley looking annoyed and Henley is looking at Merritt. Next shot, she's looking at Jack. (00:12:00)
Continuity mistake: When Daniel is in his room and pushes off the woman on top of him, he crawls over to the tarot card in his shoe. When the woman yells "Are you kidding me?", the left shoelace is lying over the left side of the shoe, but when Daniel approaches the shoe in the next shot, the shoelace isn't in the same place. Continuity mistake: At the start of the scene where Dylan and Alma are having lunch with Thaddeus, Dylan asks Thaddeus "So you were a magician first?" At the end of the line, he lowers his hand, but by the next shot, his hand is suddenly raised, placed on his chin. Theatrical version only.
Continuity mistake: When Jack finds his tarot card near the start, he flips it over to see the date, time and location on the back. The way he holds the card changes between shots. (00:08:40)
Continuity mistake: When Dylan lands in the fake vault, he lands right next to the stand where all the money was placed on. When Alma, Thaddeus and Thaddeus' assistant enter the vault, he is suddenly standing almost a few meters away from the stand where all the money was placed. This has nothing to do with the camera angles because his hand landed on the stand as he landed in the vault. (00:36:05)
Continuity mistake: In the flashback of the Horsemen programming the banker's mind, the banker is shown walking down a flight of steps and Daniel is shown throwing and catching some poker chips. He is first shown throwing two poker chips in the air, then in a close-up, it is only one poker chip being thrown into the air. (00:37:00)
Continuity mistake: When the banker is doing his Philharmonic, Dylan tells Alma to tell him to stop and Alma then replies "No, I can't. You just have to let him finish his movement." In the reflection of the mirror behind them, we can see Dylan is looking at Alma. Next shot, Dylan is suddenly looking at the banker. (00:26:20)
Continuity mistake: As the Horsemen are searching the apartment, just before reaching the living room, Jack states that it is freezing. From the reverse angle, Jack is shown looking to the right. Next shot, he's suddenly looking forward. (00:12:30)
Continuity mistake: When Arthur Tressler contacts Thaddeus to ask him how well is his money being spent, Thaddeus is shown inside his car with his camera crew and replies with "Exceedingly well." During this shot, Thaddeus is shown lowering his car window until it has reached the bottom. In the next shot, as Thaddeus says "See for yourself", the shot shows the window only half rolled down. Continuity mistake: When the Horsemen discover the "Now You Don't" card, the first shot shows the edge of the card to be resting on the lining on the floor. When Daniel picks the card up, almost half of the card is shown to be resting on the lining in the floor. The same goes for the rose. (00:12:35)
Continuity mistake: During the fight at the apartment, Jack grabs Dylan's gun with a belt and throws them at Agent Fuller, trapped in the sink's garbage disposal. When Fuller is hit, his head is thrown backwards slightly. In the shot following, his head is suddenly facing forwards. This is only visible for a split second, so you'll need to be quick in order to see it. (01:17:35)
Continuity mistake: When Dylan is shown the interrogation tape of Daniel stealing his phone, the video frame shows no lower than Daniel's belt as he tells them to zoom in tighter. But in a close-up of the video when Dylan says "Tighter" a second time, the video frame now shows almost half of his trousers visible within the video frame. (01:13:50)
Continuity mistake: When Merritt mind reads Daniel to find out he is a "control freak", Henley is behind Daniel. Then she is standing next to him, then back to behind him where she takes a step forward to be right next to him. (00:10:50)
Continuity mistake: When Daniel starts doing a card trick on Thaddeus in their room, all four Horsemen are standing even with each other. A couple shots later, Henley and Jack are both suddenly standing behind Daniel and Merritt. Then a few shots after that, they are even with each other again. Extended version. (00:51:30)
Continuity mistake: When the Horsemen find the blueprints, as Henley says "I really want to meet them", she is standing about a foot away from Daniel. But in the next shot, she's suddenly standing several feet away from him. (00:14:15)
Continuity mistake: Just after Daniel and Henley put the rabbit in the box at the New Orleans show, Daniel closes the lid to the rabbit box. Daniel then says "If you'll say the magic word?" to Henley. Henley at this point, has both of her hands on her hips. Then her hands in front of her belly held together. Continuity mistake: When Jack performs his magic trick on the spoon, a man figures out how he did it and demands $100. In a close-up of his wallet, the wallet is opened. But in the wide angle, the wallet is suddenly closed. (00:05:05)
