Continuity mistake: When Jack performs his magic trick on the spoon, a man figures out how he did it and demands $100. In a close-up of his wallet, the wallet is opened. But in the wide angle, the wallet is suddenly closed. (00:05:05)
Continuity mistake: When Jack gives the man the $100 for figuring out his trick, he leaves, walks down a flight of steps and turns around a corner and walks by a mysterious man. In the next shot, he is shown walking past the exact same corner at the edge of the steps a second time. (00:05:10)

Continuity mistake: When Jack is leaving the ferry, the man whose wallet Jack stole starts yelling at the people on the ground to stop him, pointing his right hand towards Jack. As soon as the next shot starts, Jack walking away from the ferry, with the man still visible in the far background and the man is now suddenly pointing with his left hand for a brief moment. (00:05:20)
Continuity mistake: For Henley's trick she has handcuffs chained to her and is dropped into a tank. In one of the reverse angles, she has both of her arms stretched out. But in a close-up of her arms, she now has her arms extended with them in front of her. She is saying the same line during all of the shots as this happens so it couldn't have had anything to do with several seconds passing between shots. (00:05:45)
Audio problem: When Henley is escaping the tank, there is a quick shot of the timer going past 22 seconds and a quick cut showing the tank of piranhas. During these quick cuts, Henley's panicked screaming can be heard, but it is not until seconds after this until Henley begins screaming for help. (00:06:10)
Continuity mistake: Whilst Henley is unlocking the locks in the tank, she kneels down and begins tugging on the chain. She is shown holding onto two separate parts of the chain with each hand in one shot, but by the next shot, she is suddenly holding onto to one elongated piece of the chain with both hands. (00:06:15)
Continuity mistake: When Henley gets the "locks stuck" in the tank, she shouts for help. The timer goes past 49 seconds. A member of the audience runs over to the pipe 15 meters away from the tank, runs back to the tank and hits the pipe twice - the timer then shows 55 seconds. Running to get the pipe and return took longer than 6 seconds. (00:06:25)
Other mistake: When Henley is supposedly getting eaten by the piranhas in the tank, loads of bloody water keeps spilling out of the tank and even lands on a guy in a blue hat hitting the tank. As the shot slowly pans over the mysterious man in a hoodie, the guy in the blue hat is somehow completely dry. (00:07:10)
Continuity mistake: When Henley is in the tank, supposedly getting eaten by piranhas, there is a guy in a shirt with a blue hat standing in front of it. In one shot, the guy takes his hands off the tank, but by the next shot, his hands are back on it. (00:07:10)
Continuity mistake: After Henley finishes her trick and the camera pans over to her, just before the camera stops panning, there is a blonde woman with short hair and tree patterns on her dress visible in front of her to the right (or viewer's left). But as it cuts to a wide angle, that same woman is suddenly behind her. (00:07:15)

Continuity mistake: When Henley is being cheered at by the crowd after finishing her trick, she gives a member of the crowd a fist bump, but in the next shot, she has her hand placed over the man's fist. (00:07:20)
Audio problem: When Daniel and the fan burst into his room, making out, almost half of the dialogue doesn't match up with what they are saying. (00:07:25)

Continuity mistake: When Daniel is in his room and pushes off the woman on top of him, he crawls over to the tarot card in his shoe. When the woman yells "Are you kidding me?", the left shoelace is lying over the left side of the shoe, but when Daniel approaches the shoe in the next shot, the shoelace isn't in the same place. (00:08:10)

Continuity mistake: When Daniel finds the tarot card, he goes over to it and it is positioned on the edge of the table, then in a close-up, it is suddenly slightly over the edge of the table. (00:08:10)
Continuity mistake: Daniel finds his card. In a close-up of the card, he has his 4th finger placed on the side of the card, his thumb placed on the bottom of the card and the other three fingers hanging freely. Yet in a reverse angle of the card where the camera is in front of Daniel, he has all five fingers placed on the left side of the card. (00:08:15)
Audio problem: Annoyed at Daniel, a fan storms out of his room, closing the door behind her. The sound of the door closing is heard before the door actually finishes closing. (00:08:25)
Plot hole: Each of the four magicians are given a tarot card that has a date (March 29), a time (4:44pm), an address (45 East Evan St), and a city (NY). When they enter the building on that date, they know which apartment to go to. The problem with this is that it was never stated on any of the cards which apartment to go to once they reached 45 East Evan Street. (00:08:40 - 00:10:05)

Continuity mistake: When Jack finds his tarot card near the start, he flips it over to see the date, time and location on the back. The way he holds the card changes between shots. (00:08:40)

Continuity mistake: Just before Henley notices the tarot card in the piranha tank, her position in front of the tank changes between shots. (00:09:00)
Continuity mistake: When Henley is first looking at 45 East Evan Street, her tarot card is in her hand, pushed up against a cup of coffee. By the time she meets up with Daniel, the card is no longer pushed up against the coffee cup, but instead in one of the other fingers. She couldn't have moved the card, because her bag was in her right hand and the coffee was in her left. (00:09:30)

Answer: The mirror was inserted at an angle, so that the reflection was the ceiling and not what was in front of them. It's the same principle for how periscopes work.
