Me, Myself & Irene

Continuity mistake: When Charlie is taking Irene back to New York on his motorcycle they come across a supposed dead cow in the middle of the road, which by the way you could totally tell is fake. Charlie pulls out his gun and shoots the cow a few times then throws his gun off to his right way off the screen. Next screen shot the gun is right next to him. (00:31:20)

Factual error: The police are informed that Charlie and Irene are 100 miles away. As they board a police helicopter one of the cops tells them they can be there in 15 minutes tops. This means that the helicopter will be traveling at 400 mph. Police helicopters max out at about 130 mph. (01:02:25)

Continuity mistake: When Charlie tries to get the little girl off the street there are the same two extras walking by in short succession. (00:17:50)

Factual error: Much of this movie was filmed in the Burlington and Middlebury areas in Vermont. Therefore, there are a lot of inconsistencies with vehicle plates and identifying characteristics of things like particular state trooper uniforms/cars/etc. And yes, the abandoned bridge/railroad trestle/etc. is actually the pedestrian bridge over the Otter Creek in downtown Middlebury.

Continuity mistake: Just notice that in the clip at the very, very end of the movie, when Whitey says he thinks he's found the missing thumb, he ducks under without the hose in his mouth. But in the water, it's in. Then when he comes back out, it's out again!

Continuity mistake: Irene's hair moves back and forth between behind and in front of her right shoulder in the scene where she tells the police officer about her accident. It undergoes further changes when she talks to Dickie on the phone. (00:24:45)

Factual error: After Jim Carrey has his first "episode", the police car pulls up to the officer in charge, and it has blue lights on both sides. In Rhode Island, all police cars must have red lights only. (00:22:00)

Other mistake: When the cow is seen on the road, note the black and white patterning on its hide. At the end, when you see the cow in a neck brace, it has different patterning. (00:29:50 - 01:44:35)

Character mistake: Throughout the movie, Carrey's Commanding Officer, who is a Colonel, is called Captain.

Hank Evans: Listen, Pocahontas, unless you put your ear to the ground, you'll never hear the buffalo comin'!
Irene P. Waters: Ok, look, I don't know what that means!
