Twilight

Corrected entry: Bella tells Mike she won't be able to go to prom because she has a non-refundable ticket to Florida. (In the book there are two dances, and she declines everyone's invitation to attend the first one, and Edward takes her to prom by surprise.) In the movie, nobody questions why she suddenly is able to go to prom.

Correction: How do you know no one questioned her about it and wasn't given an explanation just before the prom? And why would anyone need to ask? She is "officially" with Edward now, and she is going because he wants to take her. Bella also just had a serious accident and broke her leg. That alone is sufficient reason for her to have cancelled or postponed her (fake) trip to Florida.

Corrected entry: During the "complication" scene, when Billy and Jacob arrive and Edward leaves, we can see Billy behind the wheel. How is that possible? He has to sit in a wheelchair, because he is unable to walk or use his legs otherwise.

Amras

Correction: The car could have been modified so that the vehicle can be driven by a person in a wheelchair. Billy's hands are not affected so the car may have modifications to allow him to drive the vehicle.

Tricia Webster

Corrected entry: In some scenes, you can notice Edward blushing or colour in his face. Vampires are meant to have pale white faces.

Correction: This issue has been addressed several times on the site now. It is stated in the books that although Edward's skin is pale, he (and presumably other vampires) is capable of appearing flushed under certain circumstances; there's nothing in the movie that contradicts this. Can this be dropped now?

Corrected entry: Edward hasn't been at school after meeting Bella for the first time. During the lunch scene, Rosalee is seen putting a carrot into her mouth. She doesn't eat. (00:14:45)

Correction: How is that a mistake? It's been pointed out several times here already that the Cullens only give the "appearance" that they eat normally to avoid suspicion. At school, the "siblings" always have food on their trays at lunchtime. They either nibble at it, or just go through the motions of eating, such as Rosalie is doing by putting a carrot in her mouth. The food is either un-chewed and un-swallowed and then removed discretely, or, if it is eaten, it is "voided" later (vampire bulimia).

Corrected entry: When Charlie takes Bella up to her bedroom at the beginning of the movie, you can see a thick black microphone wire running from Bella's jeans up her shirt. They are not her iPod wires, as we see on other occasions she has the regular white iPod earphones.

Hamster

Correction: I watched this through and couldn't see any wire - can you clarify what shot the wire's visible in?

Corrected entry: When Edward is running up the mountain at full speed with Bella on his back, Bella's hair falls flat on her back yet would surely be blown backwards.

Hamster

Correction: When Edward starts to run, they show the two of them at a side angle and Bella's hair is blowing quite a bit. Then they show it from a front/diagonal-type angle and you can still see the tips of her hair blowing behind her head.

Corrected entry: Make up flaw: After Edward 'sparkles' and is telling Bella about his special diet while sitting in the tree, the palms of his hands are blood red with cold or from the lack of makeup. (00:54:25)

barefootduchess

Correction: It is noted in the books that vampires do have blood and that their pale skin can appear flushed under varying circumstances, like physical exertion. The film does not contradict this, and Edward's hands could have been affected by having just climbed the tall tree.

Corrected entry: Right on the first scene, you can see that Bella is wearing a blue long sleeved blouse inside her green plaid polo. That plaid polo changes into a jersey shirt with the same blue blouse on her first day at school. Then, at the scene where they had a field trip, she wears the same blue blouse under her polo again. And wears it again on the meadow scene. The next day from this meadow scene, the scene where she realizes that she's in love with Edward, she still wears the same blue blouse, even when they got to school and the scene after that.

Correction: How is this a mistake? She's simply wearing the same clothes more than once. Everyone repeats outfit combinations.

padfootrocksmysocks

Corrected entry: When Bella is in the hospital talking to her mom, the T.V. behind her is playing in the background. The Cullens told her mom and dad that she fell down stairs, but in the T.V. behind her, you can see the fire and the Cullens ripping James up and throwing him in there, and you can see Bella pulling the glass out of her leg and you can see Edward really flying into the window. (02:04:05)

Correction: This is not a mistake - it's how the scene is supposed to present itself (and how the book was written, deliberately). Mom doesn't want to know too many details and believes the Cullens because they are so charismatic and convincingly "sold" mom on the stairs story. Mom just wants to know Bella will be ok.

Brenda Elzin

Corrected entry: In the outdoor scene where Edward explains how Carlisle changed them, the scene goes from it being cloudy, to pouring rain, and finally to them being completely dry, as if the rain never happened. (00:58:55)

Correction: This scene is actually different days/moments that Edward and Bella are discussing their lives in an attempt to show the depth of their relationship, if you look closely they have different clothes on.

Corrected entry: In the scene where Edward was bitten by his father he was bit on the right side when the mark is on the left.

Correction: The mark on the left side of Edward's neck is a birthmark, and not a bite mark.

Corrected entry: In the scene where Edward pops the ding out of Bella's truck, he has first jumped onto the roof of the truck and startled her. After they talk, he leaves, and gets in his car which is right next to her truck, so she would have seen him drive up.

Correction: I thought she was being surprised that he jumped on her car. Not a very "human" thing to do.

shortdanzr

Corrected entry: When Edward and Bella are talking in the forest after he has shown her what he looks like in sunlight, his ears are red from the cold. As vampires are already cold, his ears wouldn't change colour.

darkkitten

Correction: In the book, Bella comments to Edward that he still looks "flushed" from his previous day's hunting. There's nothing in the movie to contradict that environmental factors such as cold weather, physical exertion, and even emotions can cause slight color variations in a vampire's skin.

raywest

Corrected entry: In the very last scene where Edward & Bella are at the prom and he kisses her neck, you can see that Bella is whiter than Edward, when Edward should be unbelievably white.

Correction: Spoiler alert: The books mention a number of times about how exceptionally pale Bella's skin is, even when she first moves from sunny Phoenix. This (and a few other characteristics) appears to foreshadow her eventually becoming a vampire.

raywest

Corrected entry: In the scene where Bella is being attacked after the bookstore, there are two people in the background. Later there are four attackers. Who are the other people?

Correction: The two other people were a young couple. They seemed rather absorbed with one another romantically and had probably moved on without noticing that Bella was in trouble.

raywest

Correction: When? Where? She gets out of her car a lot in this film.

Brenda Elzin

Corrected entry: On Bella's first day at Forks High, the class sequence goes Gym, lunch and Biology. On the day Edward returns to school, Bella walks into Biology and Mike says hello, dripping rain on her from a hat as though it's first period. She would have already seen him in gym and lunch, and she would have seen Edward at lunch. (00:06:50 - 00:16:20)

Whisper292

Correction: It could have rained in between classes. Maybe Mike came to school late that day. Also some schools have rotating periods that changed throughout the week.

shortdanzr

Corrected entry: When Taylor tells the story of the Cullens, the flashback shows Carlisle, Edward, Emmett and Rosalie. Where is Esme then? Edward explained to Bella that Carlisle first turned him into a vampire before turning Esme in the movie.

Correction: So they don't show Esme. Doesn't mean she wasn't around. At any rate, in the books she becomes a vampire before Rosalie and Emmett, but no such thing is said in the films. If they decide to change that relatively minor detail that's no mistake.

Phixius

Corrected entry: In the "edible art" scene where the Twilight book cover is depicted, as Bella and Edward move around the salad bar, the clock on the wall in the background reads 7 o'clock when it is lunchtime.

Correction: The clock did not change during the scene, which means it was broken, which means this is not a mistake.

Brenda Elzin

Correction: Which time is Bella getting out of her truck (not a car) can you see this? If it's at the school, it's certainly possible that the reflection could be a student, a teacher, or some other staff person rather than a film crew member that is reflected. How can you tell it's a crew member and not some random person standing nearby? Is he/she wearing technical gear or holding film equipment that identifies them as a crew member? Sorry, but you need to be more specific for it to qualify as a mistake.

Trivia: At the end of the movie when Bella is sitting on the bench prior to prom, Jacob offers to help her since her foot is in a cast. Edward says to Bella "I leave you alone for two minutes and the wolves descend." This is a veiled reference to the fact that Jacob is indeed a wolf, which you find out in the second book "New Moon." (01:44:15)

Question: When Edward and Bella were by the lockers at school, how come Edward couldn't read Bella?

Answer: Edward is able to read anyone's mind "except" for Bella's. He cannot understand why and that confuses and frustrates him. It is learned later that Bella has an unknown ability to block any mental intrusion. That is why Aro could not see Bella's memories and why Jane was unable to mentally inflict pain on her in "Twilight: New Moon."

raywest

Answer: Edward can't read Bellas mind because of an invisible barrier that protects her from mind effects. After she became a vampire, she was actually able to transfer the barrier to protect people. However she had to train to control the power.
