Hellraiser III: Hell on Earth

Audio problem: When Joey calls Doc and he asks her what channel she's watching, she says, "Uhh 12, I think." Her lip movements don't quite match the dialogue.

Audio problem: During Joey's dream, as Elliot Spencer says, "Would you walk with me?" and they walk away from the camera as he begins explaining what's going on, their mouths aren't moving at all, and yet there's dialogue throughout the shot.

TedStixon

Audio problem: When the passerby is telling Joey and Terri that the gallery has been closed, he pulls his little dog away, and it makes a horrible yelping and then growling sound. But the dog isn't making those noises, and they're just overdubbed to add a laugh to the scene.

TedStixon

Audio problem: When Joey is awakened from her dream about her father's death, she picks up her phone, but the sound effect of her phone being pulled off the base doesn't quite match. (It plays the sound of the receiver fully being picked up before it's fully picked up.)

TedStixon

Audio problem: When Joey is talking to the DJ, her line "I heard she might be JP's girlfriend," her lips don't quite match what she's saying.

TedStixon

Audio problem: When Joey is arguing with the editor about whether or not there's a "story out there," there's a shot where Joey firmly says, "THERE IS a story out there." But her lip movements show her saying, "There's a story out there" in a more laid-back tone.

TedStixon

Audio problem: When Joey sees the clubgoer being brought into the hospital with Terri, as they hurry down the hall, none of the dialogue that is overdubbed matches anything being said. Especially the lines, "You ever seen anything like this?" and "Yeah, yeah! Sure." The camera lingers on the actors' faces as though they should be saying these words, but their lips don't match at all.

TedStixon

Audio problem: When Joey and Doc are introduced and Doc says, "Yeah, while, like you said, it's a mystery. But that's all it says: a mystery," his line is overdubbed. Several of the words don't match his lip movements.

TedStixon

Audio problem: When the two cop cars stop during the climax, virtually none of the female cops' dialogue matches her mouth movements. And even when it does, the overdub is a woman yelling much louder than the actress appears to be.

TedStixon

Audio problem: When Joey sees Doc as a Cenobite and flees as he blows up the storefront, she bumps into a random guy who is seemingly somehow missed the explosion that happened about 20 feet in front of him. Not only is it ludicrous he isn't fleeing, but his dialogue is also painfully obviously overdubbed.

TedStixon

Continuity mistake: In the first hospital scene, where a kid dies by the hook-tipped chains in the operating room, there is a point where his head just explodes. Later, when Joey opens the door, for a second you can clearly see the kid's body, still with a head.

Pinhead: Unbearable, isn't it? The suffering of strangers, the agony of friends. There is a secret song at the center of the world, Joey, and its sound is like razors through flesh.
Joey: I don't believe you.
Pinhead: Oh come, you can hear its faint echo right now. I'm here to turn up the volume. To press the stinking face of humanity into the dark blood of its own secret heart.

Question: When Pinhead kills JP Monroe, what is the device that is affixed to Monroe's head that is also part of his Cenobite form?

Phaneron

Chosen answer: It's a piston. 2 piston rods are jammed through his head and they move powered by something unknown. You can see the crank shaft and part of some sort of cylinder. A piston is part of an internal combustion engine. It's part of his cenobite form since he liked cars.
