Continuity mistake: During the opening sequence Austin visits Qunicy Jones and the orchestra. When Austin pops out of the "movie screen" the timer below the screen reads 20:18:58. He re-enters the "movie screen" 13 seconds later, but the timer has progressed faster than the movie and is now at 20:19:26, 28 seconds later. (00:05:20)
Continuity mistake: When we are first introduced to the Mole, his mole is very close to his nose. When they show a close-up of the mole, however, it further down and closer to his lip than it was before. In the next shot, it's up by his nose again.
Continuity mistake: You can see that the hills (complete with HOLLYWOOD sign) are superimposed at the end of the opening sequence. A blue sky is visible through the gates, and in gaps in the leaves of the tree at the left of the scene. (00:07:00)
Continuity mistake: Whenever there is a scene inside the submarine, you can see that the front is just Dr. Evil's face sticking out from the wall. However, from the shots outside the submarine, you can see that there is a whole head connected to the neck instead of sticking out of the wall. (00:39:15)
Continuity mistake: When Goldmember first drives into the submarine, you can see some boxes and tanks to the right of the submarine, when Austin and Foxxy arrive when the sub submerges, the boxes and tanks have disappeared.
Continuity mistake: When Mike Myers is Austin Powers and is talking to himself as Dr. Evil, if you watch his medallion, it is constantly twirling between shots. You may think it's because he was moving around, but he was not moving his upper body at all. The arrow even tucks inside of the jacket for one shot.
Continuity mistake: In the first scene with Dr. Evil, inside the alleged 'Hollywood Talent Agency', Scott asks for some chocolate because he wants to prove to his dad that he is better than Mini Me. The chocolate is right next to him after he eats it. If you look closely, you can barely see it at the bottom right-hand corner of the screen. You can see the corner of the box. The shot changes back and forth between Dr. Evil and Scott a couple times. Almost every time it goes back to Scott, the chocolate is gone then comes back the next time. (00:10:55)
Continuity mistake: When the globe falls on Dr. Evil's head it should be shattered at the bottom. But if you look closely at the globe as it is lying on the floor seconds later you can clearly see a perfectly round hole where Dr. Evil's head was made to fit into it. (00:41:20)
Continuity mistake: In the scene at the start of the film where Dr. Evil is having a laugh with everyone, you can see in one shot that Scott's hand position changes slightly.
Continuity mistake: In the scene when Austin is in the laundry basket, sumo wrestlers put their diapers in the basket. Black, gold,and Fat Bastard's diapers are the colors although when Austin smells Fat Bastard's diaper, to the right to him is a silver diaper. No sumo wrestler put a silver one in there. (00:46:35)
Continuity mistake: When Austin and Mini Me are doing the famous shadow scene in this movie, Mini Me blows up a rubber glove and as you can see Austin has his back facing the camera, but when they show the shadow they are casting Austin is facing the opposite way. (01:13:15)
Continuity mistake: When Austin is driving with Foxxy and Nigel he is wearing a pink and black striped suit. When they almost hit the bus the stunt driver is wearing a dark blue suit.
Continuity mistake: Whenever Goldmember undresses. it causes a gold glow to light up the surrounding area. Later on in the movie when he reveals the 'second key', it stops producing this effect.
Suggested correction: We still see the glow as he's getting the key.
I believe he's referring to the fact that once removed, the key is no longer glowing, even though the film indicated it glowed.
Continuity mistake: When Austin and Foxxy are in Goldmember's factory you can see henchmen working on the car behind Austin and Foxxy. In another shot the henchmen are gone, in the next shot they're back. This happens a few times.
Continuity mistake: During the fight scene between Austin and Mini Me, Austin knocks over a lamp and it lands directly in front of the coffee table. A couple of shots later it is now off to the side of the table.
Continuity mistake: In the room with the fountain in the factory, there is a plant next to each of the 3 doors (Research, Offices and Factory). There is a plant to the right of the office door. But when one of the guards enters (and also Foxxy later), the plant is not there. (00:57:05)
Continuity mistake: When Austin is beating up poor little Mini Me, he smashes Mini Me through the glass table and it shatters. Even though there are two tables in the room it's the glass table that you can see through the screen door. But then they show a clip of the "Mole" guy talking to Basil on the phone with the table on the right side of the screen perfectly intact. (01:04:25)
Continuity mistake: In the scene where the Frau visits Dr. Evil in prison, the guards' position in the background changes from shot to shot - arms crossed, on the side, hands folded...
Continuity mistake: When Austin enters the room with the fountain in the factory, he kicks out the power cord. Every shot that you see with the power cord in it, the cord is in a different position every time. (00:55:20)
Continuity mistake: The rearview mirror of the BMW Mini is visible during the exterior shots of the car. However, in all the interior shots it's gone.
