Continuity mistake: When Deeds enters the basketball stadium, where the romantic dinner is being held (prior to the rehersal), he walks into the stadium twice. You see him walking in down the entrance, past the chairs, then you see him fully walk onto the basketball court. In the next shot, he is still walking down the entrance, past the chairs. Continuity mistake: When Deeds enters Madison Square Garden, he walks past two chefs who have a food trolley in front of them. One of the chefs lifts the lid of the trolley to reveal chicken parmesan. But as the chef lifts the lid, between shots it switches from him opening it with his right hand to his left hand. Also when it switches to him opening it with his left hand, he also acquires a silk handkerchief in his hand too. (01:04:35)
Continuity mistake: After being heartbroken by Pam, Deeds goes home to his pizza shop, and he rips off his greeting cards from the wall. Between two shots he rips the same load of cards off twice. (01:09:20)
Continuity mistake: In the Pizza shop, When Pam kicks Jan in the stomach, Jan goes flying and hits a table, and then slides off the table on the floor. In the following closeup, Jan is lying on the table, and pieces of broken wood also appear around her which weren't previously there. (01:11:30)

Continuity mistake: When Emilio finds out he is the rightful heir to $40 billion, he is standing at a wooden lectern, and he says to Deeds "And you, Long-Long-Longfellow..." and there is a shot of Emilio from behind, and there is nothing resting on the lectern, yet in the following wideshot, a gavel is laying on the lectern. Continuity mistake: In the part where Pam falls into the ice and Deeds rescues her, she comes out of the water and her hair is soaking wet but when she is lying on the ice, her hair looks like it has been dried with a towel. (01:37:00)
Continuity mistake: In the scene where Deeds is tossing the cats out the window, he throws a black cat with white paws which gets caught by a dog. The dog runs by a guy who suddenly has the cat in his hands without bending over to pick it up. Not only that, but the cat has become grey with black stripes.
Continuity mistake: Murph is helping out at Deed's pizza shop early in the film. In the scene where he is talking to Deeds, a Pepsi cup disappears off his serving tray.
Continuity mistake: Deeds beats up an opera singer and another rich guy. Pam catches it all on her button camera, but she wouldn't be able to see both assaults from a different view, she shows the same views of the assaults as the actual movie itself shows.
Continuity mistake: In the scene where Deeds is rescuing "Pam" from the fake mugging, he catches up to the 'mugger', grabs him and throws him into a series of garbage cans sitting beside a building. While falling, he drops Pam's purse near where the garbage cans were sitting. But after Deeds finishes beating up the mugger, he picks up the purse, which has now mysteriously moved across the sidewalk in front of the cable barriers on the curb.
Continuity mistake: In the scene at Madison Square Garden basketball arena, when Deeds is going to propose to Pam during a romantic dinner, the candles on the table constantly change lengths. At one point one of the candles appears to be half the size of the other, but later it is mysteriously longer and almost the same size. The candles should gradually grow shorter during the scene, not longer.
Continuity mistake: When Deeds is talking to the pilot of the helicopter about football teams, you can see them start to fly over a bridge, then two cuts later, they fly over the same bridge.
Continuity mistake: When deeds saves babe from the lake when he punches a hole in the ice the hole is not big enough for her to get out but then it cuts away and back and it is suddenly larger.
Continuity mistake: When Adam Sandler beats the supposed mugger, he and Winona Ryder step over the mugger's body, but then stop to talk. The shot then shifts from the two talking (with no one behind them), to the mugger (who is behind them), back to Sandler and Ryder talking again (with no one behind them).
Chosen answer: Helicopter performance is dependent on a number of factors, including air density. As altitude increases, air density decreases and the performance of the helicopter falls as well. At the height of Mt Everest, the air density has fallen to a sufficient degree that most helicopters would be unable to function (few helicopters are capable of functioning above 20,000 feet, nine thousand feet lower than the summit of Everest).
