Hamster

Continuity mistake: The most flame retardant box of cereal ever! When Deeds saves the woman from the burning building, there is a box of cereal next to the window that is on fire, and only on fire at the top of the box. The scene takes three or four minutes, yet through it all the fire never spreads to the rest of the box or dies out. The top just keeps on burning. Product placement, methinks... (00:49:05 - 00:50:45)

Continuity mistake: After Freddy, the first cat, lands in Pam's arms, she yells, "Good throw, Deeds". In the following shot, before Deeds rescues the other cats from the fire, the policeman on the left can be seen holding and stroking a different cat. (00:49:50)

Continuity mistake: The second cat that Deeds rescues is a gray and black tabby with white paws, but when it is about to hit the catcher, it's turned into a ginger cat. When a man comes out of the manhole with the cat in his arms, it's a gray and white tabby with dark paws. (00:49:50)

Continuity mistake: When Deeds is rescuing Miss Keeling's cats, Pam is holding the one called Freddy, but when the white cat falls down, in the shot looking down, her arms are empty, and Freddy is nowhere to be seen. A few shots later, the cat is back in her arms. (00:50:25)

Continuity mistake: In the scene where Deeds is rescuing the cats from the fire, Pam couldn't have gotten the footage while holding a cat over the corsage with the hidden camera. (00:51:30)

Hamster

Continuity mistake: At the end of tennis, the ballboy chucks Chuck a tennis ball with a message written on it. You can see that the writing has chaged when Chuck walks into the showers holding the tennis ball. (00:55:45)

Continuity mistake: In the house with blue shutters and a red door in Winchestertonfieldville, Iowa, a little boy chokes on his gum. Pam starts hitting him on the back. They are standing on the landing by a banister with a pink and purple mat hanging over it. When Pam hits the boy's head on the banister, the mat is gone. Then when the boy spits out the gum, the mat has returned. (00:59:40)

Hamster

Continuity mistake: When Pam and Deeds kiss outside Pam's apartment, Pam has her right arm around Deeds and her left arm around him too, about halfway down his back. When the shot changes though, Pam is holding Deeds differently. Her right arm is no longer around him, and her left arm is up around his neck. (01:02:05)

Hamster

Other mistake: Near the end of the movie, directly after Deeds pulls Babe out of the ice cold water, is it just me or is her Old-Navy-type jacket still dry? (It still looks light colored and fuzzy) Should it not be wet considering her whole body was just in water? (01:14:25)

Trivia: Sticking with the To Kill A Mockingbird references, in the scene where Deeds and Pam are outside of Pam's "apartment" and the old lady and dog walk out. She calls the lady "Mrs. Finch" and the dog "Atticus". Atticus Finch was the main characters name in To Kill A Mockingbird.

Chosen answer: Helicopter performance is dependent on a number of factors, including air density. As altitude increases, air density decreases and the performance of the helicopter falls as well. At the height of Mt Everest, the air density has fallen to a sufficient degree that most helicopters would be unable to function (few helicopters are capable of functioning above 20,000 feet, nine thousand feet lower than the summit of Everest).
