Continuity mistake: At the end of the film Leatherface takes a socket wrench to the face and falls down into a roadside ditch getting his clothes rather dirty in the process. Moments later, when he's doing his macabre chainsaw dance, his clothes are all nice and clean again.

Continuity mistake: When the dad comes home, Leatherface is wearing a man's face. Then, only a few seconds later when he walks out of the kitchen he is wearing a woman's face, with makeup on it. This occurred due to a scene cut out of the movie. It shows Leatherface taking off the man's face and putting on a woman's face and applying makeup to it. (01:06:35)

Continuity mistake: When Leatherface picks up Pam and puts her on the hook you can assume that the hook has gone through her back right shoulder blade. However when the third guy enters the kitchen in the murder house and hears the cadaver knocking at the lid of the tomb freezer, when he opens it and it twitches out there is a clear shot of her back with no apparent injury. Question: In the trivia it says that the name Leatherface is only said once or twice. Well, I can't recall the name being used at all. What scenes were the name used?

Answer: The name "Leatherface" is used in the scene set in the hotel, and the waterfall scene. The grandmother says "leatherface" right after she says "Maryana, crank up the chain saw" in the waterfall scene. She actually says it in a whispering tone, so you have to turn the volume up to the max.

I think you're referring to either a remake or sequel. In this film (the original made in 1974), there is no living grandmother that speaks, scene set at a hotel, character named Maryana, or a waterfall scene.
