Revealing mistake: When Leon and Deckard are fighting in the street, Leon swings at Deckard and puts a hole through a steel vessel where steam blasts out. It's clear that the spot where Leon hits has been cut out and is visible before he hits it. (01:02:15)

Continuity mistake: When Deckard makes a hardcopy of the picture on the screen, it doesn't match the screen picture. The screen shot is a profile of Zhora; the hardcopy is a frontal view. (00:46:00)

Blade Runner mistake picture

Other mistake: Just before Leon's questioning starts, Holden turns on the VK and the eye monitor censor piece flips out. There is a view from Holden's perspective showing Leon's eye in on the screen, meaning the eye piece has already zoomed in on Leon's eye. Then just after Leon says "Care if I talk?" it cuts to a side angle as he says "I'm kind of nervous when I take tests." This view shows Leon is looking towards the wall at a 90 degree angle away from the VK, meaning the view screen and eye piece could not have been seeing his eye at a frontal view as show in the previous shot. Continuity mistake: After Gaf takes Deckard to his police car to go see Captain Bryant, he looks at a screen that is blue, then turns red and says PURGE. He looks down and to his right when he sees this. Moments later as they are flying in the vehicle, a view from the back seat shows the front dash with two screens. The one in the center, which would have been the one he was looking at since he was looking down to the right, is now much skinnier than it was moments before. It's the one showing green and orange text now. (00:10:25 - 00:11:10)

Continuity mistake: While waiting in the rain for his food, the chef across the street calls Deckard to come over. Deckard folds his newspaper and puts it over his head to shield himself from the rain. The paper is folded messily and the crease side is in his hand. When he gets to the other side of the street, the fold is suddenly much cleaner and neat, and the crease side is on the outside, no longer in his hand. (00:09:00)

Other mistake: When Deckard visits the Tyrell Corporation, he prepares to test Rachel with the "VK" machine. Deckard: I don't know why he saved my life. Maybe in those last moments he loved life more than he ever had before. Not just his life, anybody's life, my life. All he'd wanted were the same answers the rest of us want. Where did I come from? Where am I going? How long have I got? All I could do was sit there and watch him die.

Question: When Roy confronts Tyrell, he says something that I'm having difficulty figuring out. The captions read that he is saying "I want more life... father!" But to me, and I've listened to that part over and over trying to figure it out, it sounds like he is saying "I want more life... fucker!" So is he saying Father, or Fucker?

Chosen answer: It's a more complicated question than you might think. Two versions of the scene were filmed, the main one, where Roy says "fucker" and an alternate, originally intended for use on television, where he says "father." Different versions of the movie use different takes. Of the three best known variants, the original theatrical release and the inaccurately-named Director's Cut both use the "fucker" line, whereas the Final Cut, the only one that Ridley Scott had full control over, uses the "father" line. What he's saying will depend on which version of the movie you were watching. Only you can answer that one.
