Continuity mistake: When Axel elbows the guy in the face at the strip club you can see his elbow not even hitting the guy's face.
Continuity mistake: When the semi crashes into the fruit truck you see the impact, but the camera angle changes and you see the semi hitting the truck again.

Mikey Tandino: Oh, she's doin' great. She's a manager of this art gallery. The Hollis Benton Art Gallery, up in Beverly Hills. It's like a world famous place, you know. You ever hear of it?
Axel Foley: Yeah, I buy all my art there.
Trivia: The role of Axel Foley originally went to Sylvester Stallone. The producers decided to go with Eddie Murphy though after Stallone wrote in too much action, and they wanted it to be more of a comedy.
Answer: Axel gets knocked out by one of the thugs as soon as he opens the door. His boss later make mention of the fact that he's lucky he didn't get killed too. They probably spared him because he didn't see who hit him and therefore could not tell anyone what they looked like.
