Captain America: The Winter Soldier

Factual error: When Rogers is launched through the front window of the bus after the Winter Soldier shoots him with a grenade, the bus is hit by a truck and flips. But if you look closely, the damage is minimal. On the truck it would qualify as a fender bender, and the dent in the bus looks like it was made with one decent swing from a sledgehammer. No way was that collision powerful enough to flip a fourteen ton bus on its side. (01:14:50)

Friso94

Continuity mistake: After the bus flips, the truck that hit it stops right in front of a Corvette. But when the Winter Soldier is shooting at Romanoff, she takes cover behind a truck. In the wide shot, there is a Monaro, and SUV and a mini-van, but the Corvette is nowhere to be seen. (01:14:50 - 01:15:50)

Friso94

Continuity mistake: When the guy is standing on the roof of the car shooting at Captain America, the empty shell cases are landing on the roof at his feet, shown in a close up. When Captain America attacks him and flips him onto his back, the shell cases are gone. (01:16:25 - 01:17:00)

Continuity mistake: When the Winter Soldier approaches the car before throwing the grenades at it, one shot shows a water trail dripping at the front of the car he is hiding behind. A few seconds later, after Romanoff ambushes him, a wide angle is shown as he throws her at the car and the water trail is no longer there. (01:17:35)

Continuity mistake: After the Winter Soldier blows up the car he assumed Romanoff was hiding behind, she sneaks up behind him and kicks the gun out of his hand. When he throws her at one of the cars, the gun is on the road to the left of some yellow lines, next to a car. A few shots later, when the Winter Soldier picks up the gun, the gun and car have both moved - the gun is now right on the lines, the car is still the same distance from it. (01:18:00)

Casual Person

Visible crew/equipment: After The Winter Soldier throws a grenade at the car, Romanoff appears behind and starts fighting with him. Romanoff ties his hands together and the Winter Soldier walks back into a silver car. In the following shot, just as the Winter Soldier aims Romanoff at the other car, it can be noticed that Romanoff has been replaced by a stunt double. This is only visible for a frame or two so you'll have to be quick in order to see it. (01:18:05)

Casual Person

Continuity mistake: When Romanov swings under the bridge to escape the Winter Soldier, she sees his position by his shadow, indicating that the sun is behind them. The shadows from pedestrians and vehicles in the shot are pointing the other way. (01:18:43)

Continuity mistake: When Sam asks "How do we tell the good guys from the bad guys?" and Steve replies "If they're shooting at you they're bad", Sam unleashes his Falcon wings. This shot shows Steve and Sam to be standing within a few feet of each other, but in the next shot where Sam flies off in his Falcon wings and Steve leaps off the roof, the two are suddenly several meters away from each other. (01:35:35)

Casual Person

Continuity mistake: After Steve explains to SHIELD that Hydra is working alongside them, one of the World Security Council members calls Alexander Pierce a smug son of a bitch. Three agents then walk into the room and one of them points a gun at one of the council members. The gun is first aimed at his head, then slightly lowered to his chest, then back to being raised and aimed at the head again. (01:37:15)

Casual Person

Continuity mistake: When the Winter Soldier is taking down the SHIELD jets, he jumps on one of them and shoots twice at the pilot, however there are 3 bullets holes in the glass. (01:40:35)

Audio problem: After Alexander Pierce discovers Nick is alive, Pierce starts explaining the intention of his plan to him. A reverse angle of Pierce is shown where he says "You didn't ask. You just did what had to be done. I can bring order to the lives of seven billion people by sacrificing 20 million." His jaw doesn't seem to be matching up with his speech. (01:42:00)

Casual Person

Continuity mistake: When Steve and Bucky are fighting, Bucky eventually lets go of the chip after Steve finishes choking him. The chip is first shown to be right next to the window frame, but when Steve goes to pick up the chip, it is suddenly several inches away from it. (01:47:20)

Casual Person

Continuity mistake: When Baron Wolfgang von Strucker says "We've only scratched the surface and already...", his lips are open. In the next shot, just before he says "there are other facilities doing Hydra's good work around the world", his lips are suddenly closed with no time to do so. This occurs right at the start of the shot and isn't very easy to see, but it is still visible if you look carefully. (02:03:35)

Casual Person

Continuity mistake: Nick Fury's black SUV gets hit by several police cars - the driver's airbag deploys and is visible in all shots until the SUV eventually escapes, at which point the airbag has disappeared.

GalahadFairlight

Continuity mistake: When Captain America takes on the plane outside, the concourse behind him gets shot up and he destroys the plane, which crashes. A little while later the strike team leave the base in convoy along the same concourse that got shot up - there's no damage, and no crashed plane.

Continuity mistake: When Zola's algorithm is deployed and begins acquiring targets, we see a "grid" with the targets chosen. On the right, just above the pictures of the targets, there is a line indicating "targets acquired." Then we see the guns and then a counter indicating the amount of targets acquired, from 210,000 and up, but the next grid we see, in the "targets acquired" line says 133,213 and up. Besides, all the grids have the same pictures, but in different order.

Suggested correction: First, nice work spotting that tiny number. However, the number to which you are referring changes four times (not once as you say), each time, starting from zero. It is not a mistake: If you pay attention to the left side of the UI, there are two widgets, respectively called "Global viewpoint" and "Continental viewpoint." Each time the number starts from zero the, viewpoint changes, meaning that these numbers correspond to each viewpoint. The statistical counter, however, increases cumulatively.

FleetCommand

Continuity mistake: On the bridge when the Winter Soldier attacks; when Steve, Natasha, and Sam are in the car stopped, a Hummer rear ends them and starts to push the car. The first shot of the Winter Soldier shows various cars near him. Then a brief shot of Sam, and back to the Winter Soldier and the various cars have changed drastically.

Bishop73

Continuity mistake: When Steve and Natasha visit Sam in his apartment, in one scene, Natasha's hair is wavy. In the very next scene, her hair is pin straight.

Sam Wilson: How do we tell the good guys from the bad guys?
Steve Rogers: If they're shooting at you, they're bad!

Question: Is it true that the story Nick was telling Cap about his grandfather is based on Samuel L Jackson's grandfather?

THE GAMER NEXT DOOR

Answer: Here's what he said in an interview: The thing with him is, you don't know if he's making up a story to get you to do a certain thing or if he's actually giving you a piece of himself. The great thing for me about that particular story is that is what my grandfather did when I was a kid. He actually ran an elevator in a hotel in Chattanooga, Tenn. That was his job. I used to go down there and sit in the elevator with him while he took people up and down. He got tipped that way and had money in his pocket or in a bag - and a little gun. He always had a pistol with him, some brass knuckles. I did not write that, it was just in there. It totally just happened that way. I chuckled about it. I was trying to figure out if I had talked about my grandfather in some interview somewhere years ago or something and somebody read it and put that in there. I never found out if that was the case. I think it's a true story for him.
