Best drama movie mistakes of 1992
Continuity mistake: In his cameo in this film, Tim Burton is holding something in his left hand that looks like a remote of some sort when we first see him in the background. Then the shot changes to Debbie and back to Tim, but this time he doesn't have it. Then the shot changes to Debbie again and then back to Tim, and he reaches to his far right and picks it up.
Continuity mistake: As Jack Kelly rides the horse near the end of the "Santa Fe" sequence, his hat is waving behind him. When it cuts to a different angle the hat is on his head. Note: This was a specific detail put in by the director, symbolizing the boy's mental transition from New York to Santa Fe. However, it failed and is commonly seen as an editing mistake.
Continuity mistake: In the final shoot-out scene where Clint Eastwood kills 5 men in rapid succession, Clint crouches and exchanges gunfire with two deputies who are standing side-by-side. A blood stain suddenly appears on the abdomen of the younger deputy on the left, but there is no bullet hole, it does not coincide with any gunshot sound effect, and the deputy does not react to the wound. A moment later, as Clint continues firing, both deputies topple over backwards.

Other mistake: In the scene following the robbery, the four young men, led by Tupac Shakur and Omar Epps, run into a brick court, walled on four sides. Shakur states he's going to keep the gun, despite suggestions that they ditch it. He has a revolver stuck in this jeans, by his left hip. When he is challenged about keeping the gun, he pulls another revolver from his pocket, scuffles with one of his friends and shoots him in the chest - all the while the grip of the other identical revolver is in view.
Continuity mistake: In the hotel scene when Van Damme is crashing through walls to escape the other Universal Soldiers who are shooting from outside, one shot from the inside of the room shows him hitting the wall with his left shoulder, but when the camera goes into the next room to show him coming through that wall, he is breaking through with his right shoulder.
Continuity mistake: In the outdoor restaurant scene (where Tim Robbins has just spoken to Burt Reynolds), the waiter brings Tim Robbins a bottle of water and a wine goblet, but when he pours the entire bottle of water into the goblet, it's obvious that it was not a full bottle of water to begin with. It doesn't fill the glass of half way. A waiter would not serve an opened bottle of water to a diner.
Continuity mistake: During a conversation a clock can be clearly seen in the backround and the time is 11:50, the scene cuts to a closeup of Nick Nolte speaking, then back to the wider shot and it's suddenly become 11:55 in a matter of seconds. But it doesn't stop there, it again cuts away for a few seconds and when it comes back to a a shot of the clock it now reads 11:40.
