Continuity mistake: When they arrive on the island of Talos, the bronze giant, Hercules and Hylus find the statues atop huge plinths. In close up, they are looking up at the statue of Talos, then in a wide shot they start to walk towards it across bare rocks, then in close up they are back where they were with plants behind them.
Continuity mistake: In the scene where the two men are carrying the coffin with the cross on it down to the crypt, the coffin is being held with the cross pointing towards the last man. But in the next shot the cross is pointing towards the first man, as the coffin has been turned around. Then in the next shot the coffin is in its original position, with the cross pointing towards the last man. There is not enough time for the coffin to rotate this many times between the two men carrying it.
Continuity mistake: In the scene when Sam and Eric are sleeping by the fire, Sam is on the left side of the screen and Eric is on the right, and Eric has a rip all the way down the back of his shirt. Later, Eric gets up and moves away and calls for Sam to join him. In the shot of Sam moving towards Eric, his back is to the camera and you can see that Sam's shirt now has the rip - not Eric's.
Continuity mistake: When Theo and Eleanor decide to explore the house, before the arrival of Luke and Dr Markway, they are in one of the dark corridors of the house. When Eleanor speaks the leaves of a plant shake, close to her right shoulder, but Eleanor is standing perfectly still, touching the right hand side of her chin with her right hand. Eleanor then hears a gasp, and we hear her thinking. In the next shot of Theo, Eleanor, now in the background, has moved a meter or two away from the plant, she is more to the centre of the archway. The next shot shows Eleanor standing next to the plant again.
Continuity mistake: When PT 109 crashes into the hut at the end of the wharf it is doing about three knots. The shot before (across the stern) shows the wake of a boat doing about 35 knots. When the boat actually hits, a sailor falls over, the wrong way for someone caught by inertia and at the same time, on the port stern bollard, you can see a line fastened and leading ashore. The boat is supposed to be moving alongside the wharf off to starboard: (a) there is nowhere for that line to be fastened to, and (b) the boat is supposed to be still underway.
