Continuity mistake: Just before Burt gets ready for his record-setting attempt, he wraps some asbestos cloth around his leg to protect it from the hot exhaust pipe. This does not allow him to fit his leg within the cowling of the bike, so he throws it off and puts his leg in without the protective covering. As he inserts his leg into the cowling, you can see that his pants leg is bunched up around his calf, not tucked into the top of his sock, as is Burt's usual procedure. However, a close up of the leg only a few moments later shows the pants leg tucked into the sock, and he could never have done that once he was fully seated in the cowling.
Continuity mistake: In the very first scene in the movie, where we see Steve listening to the motivational tape, he is wearing a red tie with polka dots. Then, when he is shown walking toward his boss' office and he falls, you can see that his red tie has changed to a gold tie. When he is in his superior's office you can see that it is back to red, and when he goes to find Stavi in the restroom the tie is gold again. (02:00:00)
Continuity mistake: In the last game of the movie you can see that Ray Mitchell (Angel Player) hits a home run to tie the game. If you look you can see that the home run ball goes over the fence and out of the stadium but then after they change cameras to Ray and then back to where he hit the home run it shows a man with the ball in his hand as if he caught it.
Continuity mistake: When Vince returns the fumbled punt for a touchdown they show shots of Vince from the end zone with players running behind him. In one shot you can see 57 over Vince's left shoulder about 2-3 yards back, then in the next shot 57 is running about 10 yards behind Vince, and then in next shot you can see 57 over Vince's left shoulder again about 2-3 yards back.
Continuity mistake: At the final fighting scene (David Sloan vs.Tong Po), you can see that Tong Po's hair (a half shaved head with only a ponytail on it) is as fake as it can be: everytime when he moves his head a bit to rough around (sweeping his ponytail around while fighting) clearly shows that he's wearing a special kind of wig attached to his head. That 'wig' is so badly attached that it looks like he's got rimples on the back and on top of his head.
Continuity mistake: Anne's hand is shaking pretty hard when she reaches out to give Paul the engagement ring back (the shot is from Paul's point of view). The camera cuts to a view from behind Anne and her hand is suddenly very still for the duration of that shot. The shot changes back 10 seconds later to be from Paul's view and Anne's hand is shaking again.Nick Bylsma
