Continuity mistake: Something weird happens as the sheriff rolls under the closing gate. She's holding a shotgun before she drops to the floor, rolls under with empty hands (seen from both sides), and as she stands up she's got it back. What's weird is that her dropping and rolling is one continuous shot, so she must have deliberately thrown the gun offscreen as she fell to help her fit through the narrow gap. She doesn't throw it through the gap - we'd be able to see it on the other side. (01:02:40)
Revealing mistake: On each of Sky Captain's hangar doors, the windows are broken in the exact same places, indicating the same window rendering was simply duplicated to make the others. (00:16:45)
Continuity mistake: After Mouse snipes the cup from an enemy solder's hand to cause a diversion, Duke and Roadblock rush off and get into a fight with two other Asian solders. Roadblock pins one against a vehicle and pounds his face with his heat gloved hands. The solder's hat comes off, but in the next shot it is on again. (00:02:35)
Continuity mistake: When Ken Wheatley is pointing his tranquilizer gun at Zia after he shot Owen, he puts the gun in his left hand and uses his right hand to wave his men down, but mid wave, the camera cuts to a different angle and he is waving with his left hand while holding the gun in his right hand. Continuity mistake: When Dave begins to disconnect HAL's circuits, one angle shows him unlock the first, second, then third unit. Just as he's about to remove the key from the third lock, the angle changes and he's pulling the key from the second lock and then goes for the third again. We know this is consecutive time as HAL is pleading with Dave the entire time. (01:51:45)
Continuity mistake: When Carolyn first enters David's room at NASA headquarters, she introduces R.A.L.F. Between shots, David wraps both arms around his knees. (00:30:35)
Other mistake: Near the end of the closing credits, when the Warner Bros. Copyright appears, you'll see the very first word "All" spelled incorrectly as "Al" in "All material is protected by Copyright Laws of the United States and other countries throughout the world." (01:26:40)
Continuity mistake: After Danny gets mad at Walter for catching the ball that his Dad threw for him, he throws his glove down on the floor and runs inside. In the next shot the glove is in a different location.
Continuity mistake: When Barris is served in the diner, french fries are scattered over his plate. When seen again, the french fries are replaced with vegetable sides.
Continuity mistake: When Wall-E presents Eve with the plant, he is facing her directly. When Eve is later viewing the footage from her security camera, Wall-E is shown facing at an angle towards the left of the screen, instead of straight ahead.
Continuity mistake: When Henry is telling Claire about his vasectomy, the paper mold on the table in front of her is right-side-up in one shot, then upside down, and then back to right-side-up.
Continuity mistake: Many times in the movie, Romit's hair changes from one shot to another. It goes from very short on the sides to long then back again. (00:59:30 - 01:11:20)
Continuity mistake: The main character Paul is tied up on the floor next to his mother, who is also tied up. Paul tries to use his tied feet to fight, but is easily kicked back down to the floor. Then, very briefly, but , Paul is half unconscious with his arms NOT tied anymore, but next to his head. The next scene has Paul's arms tied up again and his mother says 'cut my son's bonds'. Revealing mistake: When they gather around to watch what happens when you put the slime in the toaster, you can see when the toaster starts popping that it has little pneumatic pistons attached to the bottom, making it jump. When the toaster gets picked up off the table you can view its power cord which is entirely too big - more likely air lines. (00:41:15)
Continuity mistake: After Johns dies and Riddick is talking to Fry you see in one shot that only the bottle that Fry is holding is lit up, yet in the very next shot you see that all three, Fry, Jack, and the Muslim kid's bottles are lit. (01:23:40)
Continuity mistake: In the final scene on the bridge, Spock and McCoy are wearing coloured arm bands which identify their departments: Spock's is orange (for Science) and McCoy's is green (for Medical). In the very last shot, Spock is wearing the green band and McCoy is wearing the orange one (corrected in the 2022 re-release of the Director's Edition).
Continuity mistake: During Inspector Kemp's visit at the Frankenstein manor, Frankenstein is playing darts while he is having his conversation with Kemp. He throws the first dart at the bottom 10, but by the time he throws the second dart at 7, the first dart he threw at 10 is now at the bottom of 18. (00:56:20)
Continuity mistake: Lisa is trying to convince Gary's parents to let him go to the party. There is a glass of beer on the table. The camera switches to a close up and then back to a wide shot and the beer is gone. (00:37:49 - 00:39:10)
Continuity mistake: In the parking lot scene we see Tommy get thrown through what appears to be plasterboard. When he goes through it leaves a big chunk still attached in a triangle shape. Camera cuts and what remains has changed and the triangle piece is not to be seen. (00:23:10)
Revealing mistake: When the Operative is reviewing Mal's file, Mal's first name is initially spelled as "Malcom", in the next shot that has been corrected to "Malcolm".
