Other mistake: When Somerset goes back to the man's house alone, he cuts a sticker on the door with his switch-blade to get in. The first error is the sticker is on the inside and it says "Keep Out." The best part about it is the door opens inward. How did they put the sticker on the inside and then exit? (00:20:45)
Other mistake: During the scene where the Japanese are being rounded up and taken to the internment camp, the camera is panning over the crowds of people walking down the street. Half way through this scene, there is a woman and a little girl, who seems to be carrying a stuffed Elmo, hardly appropriate for the time period.
Other mistake: In one of the first scenes in the study, Mr. Boddy hands each guest a weapon and then proceeds to turn out the lights. The room is thrown into complete darkness. Unfortunately, there is a roaring fire in the fireplace that would have illuminated the room enough for everyone to see what was going on.
Other mistake: In quite a few shots during the film, it is much too obvious that there are no lenses in Harry's glasses, whereas in previous and following shots the glasses have lenses. A couple of instances are: when Harry drinks the Felix Felicis and when Harry kneels beside Dumbledore, at the foot of the Astronomy Tower.Super Grover
Other mistake: Early in the film, Valerie Barksdale (Hillary Swank) visits Annie Wilson (Cate Blanchett) for a psychic reading. Valerie has been severely beaten by her husband, and her badly black and blue eye is swollen shut. A day or two later she visits Annie again. Amazingly her eye appears to have completely healed, even though the other marks on her face are still visible.
Other mistake: Speaking to General Hershberg (Michael Moriarty) in his office, Nat Serling (Denzel Washington) implies that it was easily discoverable that the US tank was destroyed by "friendly fire" because the US is the only country which uses "uranium depleted" shells. The correct term is "depleted uranium". Maybe Washington flubbed his lines.
