Deliberate mistake: A shot of the pile of ashes from the fire wherein Cassie's body was essentially cremated showed Nina's half of the broken heart necklace sticking out ABOVE the ashes, which would be impossible. Also, a metal charm on a chain that was around Cassie's neck would not survive the huge fire or be totally clean and unscathed.
Deliberate mistake: It's a really fun visual, but when the bad guys enter the kitchen and get swarmed by African-American waiters in white tuxedos, one can't help but wonder how it could be that Darius was almost the only waiter on the floor up until a moment before - there were a couple others, mostly white dudes, while now we see about 20 people, all of color, coming out at once. The disproportion is huge, it's not like dinner is being served. (00:39:30)
Deliberate mistake: In Silence of the Lambs Starling was right-handed. In Hannibal she is left handed because we see her writing with her left. Julianne Moore, the new actress who plays Starling is left handed whereas Jodie Foster was obviously right-handed.
Deliberate mistake: Jim was sitting on a bench along the road and Amy [Brie Larson] walked by (several feet away), apparently not noticing him. (Jim was seated between other people.) Brie got into her car and adjusted the rearview mirror, catching sight of Jim on the bench. A driver would adjust the rearview mirror, if necessary in the first place, to align it with the rear window, not angle it to the right to be able to see the sidewalk. (00:51:34 - 00:51:55)
Deliberate mistake: When Batman enters the replica of The Joker's apartment there's no place for The Joker to hide. Yet seconds after Batman enters, The Joker comes out of nowhere to hit him with a pot.
Deliberate mistake: It is unlikely that Kimmel shoving/ramming the beer bottles on the table using his dish and piece of steak in his right hand would shatter the beer bottles into such small pieces (or at all) like he did. (00:36:55)
Deliberate mistake: When Dooley looks at the photo of himself, Jerry Lee and his wife Tracey, it's obviously a still shot from the first movie, as the angle the picture is taken from was obviously not taken by anyone else as they were the only two in the apartment with Jerry Lee at the time. (01:11:40)
Deliberate mistake: Where are the motorcades for the other world leaders?
Deliberate mistake: The thug wearing headphones and facing the money on the shelves did not notice that Savage forcefully opened the door several feet to his right, slamming it against the adjacent wall, or that Savage had entered the room. The bang to and vibration from the door hitting the wall should have been enough to overpower the sound from his earphones, but - even if they weren't - his peripheral vision should have sensed the door opening and Savage entering. (00:02:55)
Deliberate mistake: When Lithgow is shot in the leg and trips backwards over the crate or box, the stunt man is deliberately visible. It's not Lithgow making the fall.
Deliberate mistake: During the song Adelaide's Lament, Adelaide goes to her medicine cabinet, opens it, and there is a cut to a shot from "inside" the cabinet as she surveys all the medicine she takes to treat her "cold." From the inside, the cabinet is almost twice as wide as it is when it shows her open and later close it from the outside.
Deliberate mistake: Wyatt is killed in a park next to El Prado museum (which can be seen in the background). Then S and McQuarry cross the street and appear next to where the bank was. This speeds the pace of the movie, but truth is that the building of the bank and El Prado are 20 minutes walking distance away from each other.
Deliberate mistake: One of the bodyguard's rifle which is a Sig model SG553 only has a front sight and no rear sight. The rear sight can easily be attached to the Picatinny rail. Such a rifle is only good for up close instinctive shooting, anything at distance is spray and pray. (01:39:00)
Deliberate mistake: One of the first shots in Greece shows Benoit Blanc and Lionel standing on the pier. As director Rian Johnson himself says in an interview for the Vanity Fair Youtube channel, "Matches nothing else in the scene lighting-wise, but it's gorgeous soooo...who cares." (00:13:30)
Deliberate mistake: The Virtuoso (up several stories in a building) would not be able to hear what the boy and his mother across the street were saying. The boy even started to say "Hey, mom" when he was still exiting the building. (00:11:41)
Deliberate mistake: The front passenger's side mirror [driver's side is on the right] is parallel to the screen/camera yet there is a perfectly clear image of the passenger's face looking into the mirror. (00:00:38)
Deliberate mistake: In the scene where Mindy saves the dressed-up Dave from the street thugs and almost gets caught by the police. The female voice over the police radio remarks that the suspect is "under five feet" (below 152 cm). As she flees, she uncovered her motorcycle which appears to be a Ducati 1199 Panigale. The Panigale has a seat height of 82.5 cm, which means that by proportion, Mindy cannot sit on the bike with both feet flat on the ground (as a comparison, I'm 5'9 / 175 cm and still have to tiptoe a little bit on the Panigale, so even if she's slightly taller she still couldn't). Yet in the end scene where Mindy drops Dave at home after the final fight, she seems to be able to sustain the bike with both feet only slightly tiptoed, although her boots are not that tall. (00:13:20 - 01:34:30)
Deliberate mistake: At the end of the car chase with Penguin Batman's car drives upon a ramp at high speed before the explosions occur but his car only appears flying through the air and landing 15 seconds after the explosions. That's quite a long jump. (01:23:33)
Deliberate mistake: A lot of the supposed handheld footage from bystanders on the scene couldn't have been filmed as such. People are on the ground, but the handheld footage is close to the action, as if the bystander is right there next to the action. This is a common mistake in a lot of movies.
Deliberate mistake: During his autopsy in Saw IV, it is revealed John Kramer was 52 at the time of his death. Kramer's role in this film is the very early stages of his time as Jigsaw, shortly after his cancer diagnosis, which would put him in his early 50's. However, he looks far too old to convincingly be that young (Tobin Bell was in his mid-70's at the time of filming). He even looks older than he did when he was on his deathbed in Saw III.
